Slytherin falls off a balcony because Hufflepuff smiled at them
Slytherin was getting pretty tired of this party.
They’d thought they would be by hufflepuff’s side, dancing, drinking and having a good time but they were stuck here with their drink in hand, putting up with all the inane nobles in their kingdom while Hufflepuff was dragged aside by other princess’ to the side so they could talk about the upcoming wedding.
Slytherin downed their drink in one go and looked around for Hufflepuff again.
They caught sight of the white flowers on Huff’s hairpin and tried to send them the message to turn around.
They stared as hard as they could but the message just didn’t seem to be getting through so they took another drink from the passing waiter and leaned back on the balcony.
That was when they caught sight of Hufflepuff waving to get their attention.
Hufflepuff was standing alone and smiled when they caught Slytherin’s eye. It struck Slytherin speechless, so much so that their hand slipped and they fell down the balcony.
They woke up dizzy and to the sight of Huff nursing them back to health and warning them of the scolding they'd get when they were better.
All Slytherin could think of was “this is much better than that party”.
