Teenage dirtbag
Barty didn't cry. He never did, so why on earth did he cry in front of Lily Evans? She was the last person he needed to cry in front of because now he was getting looks of empathy the whole time. Since that day, he had been skipping their so-called lesson, and she was smart enough to know that or just ignore it.
"What's up with you?" Dorcas asked while still reading in her book. "Nothing." As Barty put his bag down. His frustrations this week were way too high. He never bothers about anything, and now this. He needed to blow off some steam. He stood up again and left the common room, leaving Dorcas behind.
Great, Regulus was walking his way with Lily and Remus, but Barty was too late by turning around. "Barty, can we discuss something?" Lily said. He tried not to notice the weird looks of Remus and Regulus. "I don't know what should be discussed." As he shrugged. She gave him a look which made him angrier. "Well, I was looking for someone." He said, and he walked away from the group. He could hear Regulus ask Lily what it was about. Great job, Evans.
As he was walking away, he could hear quick footsteps behind him as he turned around, he came face to face with Evans.
"I just wanted to say I'm sorry." She said with her chin up high. Okay, but Barty was confused now. Was she sorry? He was the one who cried in front of her. He looked around and saw a cupboard, and again, he dragged Evans with him. "Listen, Evans, I don't want to talk about what happened, okay?" She was red now. "Yeah, okay again, sorry! But if you ever want to talk about it. I am not asking, just checking you're okay!" She finished her sentence quickly, and he was happy. She didn't bother; they would never talk about it again, and if he needed to, he could talk to her. Not that he needed to, just a good thought to keep in mind. "I will keep that in mind."
In a way, she seemed relieved, so he went back to his usual self. "What, you were scared of going into a cupboard? I'm sorry I'm not Diggory." He laughed. "Well, you're a pure-blood Slytherin, and I'm a muggle-born you never know what will happen, and you seemed angry. Plus, what goes on between Met and Diggory doesn't matter shit to you!" She almost grinned. "See you at our next potion class, Crouch." And she moved smoothly out of the classroom. Barty laughed to himself. What was up with this chick?

Their next potions lessons were very boring if you'd ask Barty. They just sat down, and Lily explained everything he already knew. "You looked bored?" She raised her eyebrow with the question. "Well, good to know you're not blind." Barty was definitely at the point of falling asleep. "Care to make it more interesting, would ya, Evans!" She rolled her eyes at that. "How are things going between you and Diggory heh?" It was not like that was an interesting topic, but making her flush was. "Why are you so invested in my love life? It's not like I'm asking you about anything of that!" Now, this was interesting. Seeing Evans getting all wind up made the lesson better.
"Well, I have nothing to hide. You can ask me anything. Yesterday I fucked Isabelle Greengrass. My first kiss was Regulus Black." Oh, now she found it interesting. "You're first kiss was Regulus?" She was surprised, too. "What? You're not gonna judge me, are you?" He smirked. "Who was your first kiss? Snivellus?" He hated that boy, even tho he was in his house. He still has the creeps on him.
"Marlene." Barty wasn't surprised. Dorcas was always talking about Marlene, and to be fair, they were a cute couple. He sometimes wished he could be like them, but then again, who would stay with him for so long, and there isn't anyone Barty could see himself with for the rest of his life?
There was an awkward silence between the two of them, but it only lasted a few seconds because Lily was focused on her potions again. "Is he such a bad Quidditch player?" "Well, he isn't a good player, but the match Hufflepuff vs Slytherin is almost there, so you can see for your own eyes." Diggory wasn't a very bad player, but if you'd compare Potter or Regulus with him, he'd be gone in a second. Barty was sure that even he could easily defeat Diggory. "Well, I was gonna support Slytherin anyway because of Regulus." Barty nodded, of course, she was for Slytherin.
"Okay, great, now the time is over!" He immediately stood up and walked away, waving goodbye to Evans. He had more important things to do.

The next time he saw her wasn't because of their potions lessons but when she was crying.
It may seem rude that Barty's first thought was: Oh no, walk the other way.
But he remembered that she saw him crying and decided that he walked to her. She hid away in a classroom, so he followed her in. She was sitting on the ground with her face between her legs, not noticing Barty. For a second, he was standing there, not sure what to do, but then he walked over towards her and patted her on the back. She looked up and put her face back down again. Barty swore that she started crying even harder. "Hey, hey, it's alright." Still patting her on the back. He wasn't good at this. "Whatever it is, Evans, it's gonna be alright, okay?" Come on, come on, please don't cry.
"No, it's not! Mt sister, she hates me!" Her voice sounded hoarse. "What, why?" Barty was curious because why on earth would her sister hate Evans? The Evans he knew was loved by everyone, even Snivellus. "Because I'm a stupid witch and a freak, but she's perfect and normal." She mimicked the last part, and Barty almost laughed. "Okay, you're not a stupid witch, and she's just- she's just scared that she'll lose you." Lily looked up again. "That's not true. She doesn't care if I die today." "And how are you so sure about that?" She was quiet.
"Look, I know what it's like to have people not liking you." He paused for a second, debating if he should talk about it. "My dad, he doesn't like me very much. He doesn't like that I don't care and that I do nothing with my life. And you wanna know what I did?" Lily shrugged. "I started to care even less." At least she wasn't crying anymore.
"Is that the reason why you started crying? I'm still very sorry." Barty nodded at her question. She stared at him for a few seconds, and weirdly enough, they hugged again. "Thanks, Crouch, but let's not talk about this to others!" And this time she left first.
