Prologue
Growing up, Danica knew that she was different from other kids her age. And not just because she was adopted by the Tony Stark before she could even remember. The only thing she ever heard about her bio parents when she asked her dad is that her mom was his cousin, he didn't know her well because she lived in Britain, and she disappeared not long after I was born.
The first thing that made her different is that she was adopted. The second thing being ADHD. She didn't have it as bad as some other people she knows, (and she probably learned her hyperfixation habits from her Dad's endless hours in the lab), but it was still bothersome. She would spend so much time teaching herself something (with YouTube of course. Articles were difficult with her dyslexia) that was completely unimportant and unessecary that she fell behind in a lot of her schoolwork. Imagine the stress of telling your dad who graduated from MIT before adulthood that you failed the last math and science tests. The only reason she was never held back was because of her dad's, and Pepper's tutoring sessions. And the only reason she was still able to go to the same school since kindergarten is because of her dad's influence and money. After the incident at the pioneer farm field trip she was sure that she'd have been expelled. Thankfully, her dad was rich, and the state of California was somewhat lenient when it comes to education.
Her life didn't really start to get weird though, until spring of fourth grade, not long after her tenth birthday.
