Minjeong isn’t the type to do things impulsively. Everything she does, she thinks carefully—the good, the bad and the consequences the action might bring. With that kind of mindset, she has managed to avoid a lot of  trouble and live peacefully.

But, unfortunately, that kind of mindset seems to be non-existent today as she found herself standing in front of the cafe near her workplace. She’s just clocking out for the day and decides to take a walk home instead of using her car despite it still being winter and freezing cold. When she passed the cafe she had passed by a hundred times before, her step halted when she took notice of something through the glass window. And for a moment, she found herself just standing there and stared at the woman behind the glass absentmindedly sip on her hot drink. People passing by give her weird looks for standing still in the pavement but she pays them no mind as her attention focuses on the beauty inside.

The woman was doing nothing out of the ordinary, just quietly sitting, chin resting on her palm as she traced her finger against the rim of the cup. But strangely, Minjeong can’t seem to take her eyes away from the sight. The way her black colored hair softly cascading down her shoulder, the way her lips pout slightly as she stares down at her cup and before Minjeong knows it, she steps closer and stands right in front of the glass—the only thing that separated her from reaching the woman was the transparent glass.

She doesn’t know what comes over her at the moment, because before she knows it, she brings her knuckle up and knocks on the glass. The action seemed to surprise the woman into looking up and their eyes met through the glass.

When she gets the woman's attention on her, Minjeong blows on the glass, causing it to fog before carefully drawing a small heart on it with her finger.

For a moment, the woman just stares at her, eyebrow raised at her bold move before an amused smile slowly made its way onto her lips. Seeing the positive reaction, Minjeong lets out a grin but it immediately fades when the woman raises her hand and shows something on her ring finger. She watches the gold band glinting under the cafe lighting, as if mocking her.

Minjeong blinks, clearly taken aback by the turn of events before quickly backing away from the glass. When she does that, she accidentally locks eyes with the person sitting on the next table. The man was looking at her like he didn't know if he should pity her or just laugh at her face. Out of embarrassment at being caught doing something foolish by a stranger, Minjeong quickly turned around and walked away from the cafe.

Jimin was sitting alone inside the cafe, drinking a hot latte as she waited for her wife when something amusing happened to her. She was boredly waiting when she heard a knock on the glass window beside her. When she turned to look, her eyes met a pair of dark brown orbs already staring at her. But before she could open her mouth to say something, the woman who’s dressed in corporate attire outside did something completely unexpected. Jimin watches as she blows on the glass before drawing a little heart on it.

It takes her a moment to snap out of it before an amused smile slowly makes its way into her face as she realizes the woman was attempting to flirt with her. Seeing those expecting bambi eyes looking back at her and waiting for her reaction, her smile widens before she slowly raises her hand and flaunts the gold band on her ring finger for the woman to see. She sees in real time how the smile fades immediately before she quickly backs away—the way her face rapidly turned red when the woman accidentally made eye contact with the man sitting at the table next to her. She could tell the woman was embarrassed at being caught.

When she sees the woman finally walks away with slump shoulders and a gait of defeated soldiers, Jimin shakes her head. The man from the neighboring table who’s also the witness of the failed attempt at flirting, leans slightly towards her and whispers, “Well, that was... bold. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone shoot their shot so confidently and fail so spectacularly before.”

Jimin looks at him, deciding to humor him. “Really? I think that’s kind of adorable, though?”

The man raises an eyebrow at her, his eyes momentarily drifting at the band on her finger before nodding his head slowly. “It is, and she’s really beautiful too. Too bad, huh?”

Jimin only smiles in response and decides to end the conversation there before reaching for her phone on the table and dials the number she had memorized by heart. It barely rings before the call connects and the voice she loved the most greets her on the other side.

Looking outside the window glass, her voice is fond and still with a hint of amusement when she says, “Stop fooling around and get in here quickly.”

She watches as a figure stops walking before turning to look at her direction. Watch the way the woman’s face lit up with a smile even from a distance before she hurriedly walked back toward the cafe while still holding a phone against her ear.

The bell above the door dings as Minjeong pushes it open and she quickly steps into the cafe. The smell of brewing coffee and warmth from the heater greet her. Her steps light as she walks further into the cafe before stopping right in front of the table where the most beautiful woman was sitting. When the woman turned to look at her, she was greeted by the same amused smile a moment ago. Grinning back, she makes sure to make eye contact with the man on the table next to her before bending down and leaving a kiss on the woman’s lips.

When she pulled away, she was met by warm and fond eyes looking back at her. Lifting her hand to cup the cheek, she caresses the soft skin and smiles softly. “Sorry for the waiting, my love.”
