Note
Just something I thought of. It's different to what I write I know as no pairing but this wouldn't get out of my head

Severus Snape walked into the circular office and looked straight at the portrait Of Albus Dumbledore. “Harry actually did it, Albus.”

Albus smiled. “I always knew Harry would win the war.”

“We all won the war, Albus. I wasn't talking about that.”

“Then what?”

“My freedom. I've been exonerated. Minerva didn't want to become Headmistress. She is happy remaining deputy.”

“You will make a fine Headmaster my boy.”

Severus nodded. “The school reopens in September. There is a lot to do but all that will have to wait. There is one thing that is more important than anything else.” He said as he sat down and began to write a letter.

Albus Dumbledore sat and watched as Severus wrote a letter and signed it before duplicating them.

Severus stood up and waved his wand at the fire.

“Severus? What is it you are doing? How many letters do you have there?”

Severus looked up at Albus and smirked. “Just over one hundred.” He answered and picking up a letter, he actually chuckled as he threw it, followed by the rest of them, into the fire, watching as they all disappeared to be delivered.

Harry Potter sighed as he sat down on his settee, he just leaned forwards to pick up his cup from the table in front of him when an envelope flew out of the fireplace and hit him in the head.

“Ow!” Harry hissed as he picked the envelope up and saw the familiar spidery handwriting. He opened up and felt his eyebrows raise as he read what the letter contained. “What are you up to Snape?” he whispered.

The floo flared and Harry looked up and saw Ron step out holding a letter just like his. “A letter from Snape requesting us at Hogwarts this Saturday, saying it is of the utmost importance we attend?” he asked.

Ron frowned. “Yeah, think Hermione got one?”

“I bet she did.”

“But why would he want us there? I understand you as you got him his freedom, but us?” Ron said as he sat down next to Harry.

“We'll find out in two days. I wonder who else got one?” Harry asked just as his floo flared and George's face appeared in the fire. “Hey Harry, did you get a letter off Snape for Saturday?”

“Yeah, Ron has as well.”

George nodded his head. “I'm going to ask around and will let you know who else.” He said before disappearing from the floo.

Harry picked his cup up and took a sip. “I will be going anyway. I would like to see what he wants us all for.”

“It won't be anything good.” Ron mumbled. “I mean when was the last time Snape did something nice?”

“Two months ago when he saved all our lives and helped us end the war?”

Ron frowned. “Oh yeah… I'm going to go and see Hermione, see if she has a letter.” He said as he disapparated.

One hour later, Harry had another visitor in the form of another Weasley. This time George. “What have you heard?” he asked.

George sat down. “It's all the DA Harry, not just them, but even more. I am willing to bet when we go on Saturday, there will be close to one hundred people there. Has Snape not said anything to you.”

Harry laughed. “Why would he?”

“Well you got him exonerated. He owes you his freedom.”

“Yeah and I owe him my life, doesn't mean I tell him all of my plans.”

George nodded and stood up. “That's true. Well, I guess we will all find out Saturday morning. Did your letter state to wear something comfortable as it will be a long day?”

Harry nodded. “I did. I'll see you then George.”

Severus was stood at the window in his office watching as his guests started to arrive when a pop! Sounded behind him.

“Master Snape sir. The first of your guests be arriving sir.”

“I see Bibby. Harry Potter I am assuming.”

“Yes Master Snape. He said he be wanting to see you.”

Severus turned from the window. “No doubt wanting to know what is happening.”

Albus in his portrait cleared his throat. “Bibby, just what is Severus doing?”

The elf looked up at Albus. “Master Snape is a very grateful man, he be wanting to thank everyone in the most amazing way. Yous be knowing when day is over. We elves have worked hard along with Master Snape to make this happen.” Bibby said before looking at Severus. “It is time for Master Snape.”

Severus smirked at the telling off Albus just got and nodded his head. “Thank you Bibby.”

When Severus walked out of the entrance doors he saw Harry walking towards him and so far behind him, a load more people.

Harry came to a stop. “Headmaster.”

“Mr Potter.” Severus greeted.

Bibby appeared at the side of Severus. “Bibby be checking all those arriving, everyone you sent a letter out to, they is here.”

“Thank you Bibby. You and your wife take the rest of the day off and enjoy yourselves.” When Severus saw Harry looking surprised, he smirked. “No more having to pretend Mr….. Harry.”

Harry laughed. “Okay Headmaster.”

Severus looked behind Harry and saw everyone he invited come to a stop. “If you would all like to follow me to the quidditch pitch. All will be explained.”

As Severus led everyone to the pitch, he could hear people talking. He actually smirked when he heard Harry snap. ‘Why does everyone think Snape told me because I got him freed? I'm as much in the dark as all of you’. Once they reached the doors, Severus turned around to face everyone.

“All of you here today, you are the ones that did nothing but fight or suffer or, as it were, have a normal childhood as something happened every school year. As a thank you to all of you and especially for Harry Potter today this is for all of you. Today is for all of you to do what you couldn't through school. You missed out on doing what kids do through school, today you get to do just that. Today. And all of this. Is for all of you.” Severus waved his wand and the doors behind him opened revealing what was once a quidditch pitch, now had a fun fair full of rides and food stalls one side, the other side was what could only be described as a water park and right at the end was an outdoor muggle cinema. “Those who want to go to the cinema, have no fear, it is protected so you will have no other noise besides the film you are watching. Now go. Enjoy. Be a child again. And this time. Have fun.”

Harry stumbled forward as everyone screamed and laughed as they ran past him and through the doors and split up as they went to where they wanted to go. He walked over to the Headmaster, not being able to miss seeing Ron out of the corner of his eye do a cannonball into a pool. “You are risking your reputation with this sir.” He smiled.

“Once school starts, the students will think me organising this was someone polyjuiced as me, have no fear of that.” Severus sighed. “No. This was your mothers idea.”

Harry turned his head. “My mum?”

“Yes, as you know from my memories we talked a lot, well, Lily did, I listened. All her plans for the future, what she would have loved, places she wanted to go. This what you see here Harry is what she wanted to take me to and even hoped Hogwarts would do this at the end of every school year, a chance for seventh years to relax after exams.”

“You are Headmaster now. You've made this happen this year.”

Severus looked at Harry. “This is for everyone but more for you, this is for the childhood you never got to have Harry.”

Harry smiled. “Will this be a yearly thing?”

“That depends.”

“On what?”

“If everyone here can enjoy their day and not cause any trouble then I can see making Lily's wish come true.”

“I will get this next year then hopefully.” Harry said before looking at Severus and laughing. “I am returning for the year I missed, sir.”

“Given your previous years I want a normal school year Harry.” Severus warned.

“Trust me sir. That's all I want.” Harry looked at everything before turning once more to face the Headmaster. “Thank you sir. For everything.”

“You're welcome. Now go.” Severus answered and watched as Harry ran towards one of the food stands.

Severus looked up from his desk when the door opened and Harry walked in holding some candy floss. “I'm the last one sir. I just want to check if it will be a yearly thing?”

“It will be Harry.”

Harry beamed. “That's great. Thank you sir. See you in September.”

When Harry left, Albus cleared his throat. “Just what did you do Severus?”

“I did what you turned down every year when I was at school.”

Albus frowned. “What's that?”

“Lily's wish.”

The end.
