Love confessions

“Moony, what? Why're you apologizing?”
“Because I’m pregnant and we haven’t even graduated and I know you don’t even want to be with me”
“Moony-“
“and probably wanted to forget that night ever happened and now you’re stuck with me”
“Stuck!?”
“and two babies and.. and I’m sorry I couldn’t get rid of them, they’re mine and they’re yours and they’re ours and if that night and these babies are all I get to keep then I’m keeping them and I’m sorry if that’s selfish but unrequited love is such a bitch and I can’t-“
And then Sirius is kissing him so hard he nearly falls off the bed but he doesn’t even care because Sirius is kissing him and he feels like fire is running through his veins, his entire being melting into him like he was never meant to be anywhere else and maybe he wasn’t. Who was he to know really? His mind was melting and he had no idea what he was even rambling about by the time Sirius pulled back just enough to breathe, his forehead resting on his own.
“You, Remus John Lupin, have no idea the absolutely unfair hold you have on me do you? I didn’t say anything after that night because I woke up alone and thought you were so embarrassed that you didn’t want me to say anything so I didn’t. I was so terrified that I’d lose you as my best friend that I didn’t say a word, but make no mistake Moonymine I love you and I’ll love you to death.”
Sirius was hold his face in both of his hands and looking at him with such reverence he had to take a minute to really register what he said but when he did his entire body snapped to attention.
“You love me?”
“I’ve loved you since before I knew what love was”
“But.. why didn’t you say anything, I’ve been in love with you for years, I don’t think there’s ever going to be a time when I don’t, really. You’ve always been so outspoken when you’ve wanted something, I always thought I never had a chance because you didn’t say anything.”
“At first, honestly I just thought you deserved better. You’re perfect, I know you don’t think so but as time went by I just kept falling more in love with you.. it scared me honestly, I’ve never felt this way about anyone. I thought if you knew, I’d scare you off and I’d lose you and I don’t think I’d survive losing you.”
“That’s.. Sirius. How could you ever think I could do anything but love you? I have been yours since the day you laid eyes on me on the train.”
He had to kiss him before he kept going. It was too tempting and he was allowed to now and isn’t that just best thing.
“ You, Sirius Orion Black, should have known that to live without you would’ve been torture for me. I love you and I’ll love you for as long as I get on this gods-forsaken earth.”
Sirius’ responding chuckle was watery and only then did he notice that Sirius was slowly wiping away tears that were running down Remus’ own face. He reached up to do the same to Sirius and left his hand there.
“So, we’re doing this? Together? Not as best friends who are co-parenting?”
He had to clarify before he got carried away, there’s too much at stake for him not to make sure.
“Moony”
He responded softly
“Moony, I’d marry you tomorrow if I could, but for now will you be my boyfriend?”
“Absolutely”
“Perfect”
He thinks he might have heard someone cheering behind the door but he’s not sure because Sirius was kissing him again and he doesn’t think his brain will ever be able to work properly while he’s doing that.
