Looking Out For A Place To Go - Pandora POV
If there was one thing Pandora loved, it was parties. It didn’t matter what type of party, she just loved people coming together and having fun. So, when Dorcas sat next to her at dinner and told her that there was a party in Gryffindor common room, she had begged her friends to go. It wasn’t particularly hard, except for Reg, who seemed to be allergic to fun. However, he had relented. So now she was here, putting the finishing touches onto her makeup and assuring Dorcas that she looked gorgeous.
She did as well. The deep green dress perfectly complimented her dark skin and her makeup was flawless as ever. Pandora was wearing a midnight blue dress with little stars moving around. Magic truly was amazing. She grabbed her eyeliner, mascara and lipstick, as they were small and could fit in her purse.
‘You ready yet?’ Pandora asked.
‘Nearly, let me just touch up my mascara.’
Pandora stood in the doorway and watched Dorcas finish up her makeup. Dorcas was one of her best friends, and she really was gorgeous. Honestly, she was Pandora’s pansexual awakening, though she would never admit it. She came from a rich, pure blood family, who believed very strongly in continuing the bloodline, so she would only ever be able to marry a pureblood man. She didn’t mind, for the most part. She would’ve liked the choice on who to marry,
regardless of their gender, obviously, but she still got to choose who she married, and she had never been in love with, or even dated, a girl.
‘Alright, I’m ready. I think the boys are waiting for us in the common room.’
‘I’ll meet you down there.’
‘Alright, love.’
Dorcas kissed her on the cheek and walked out. She may not have ever dated or fell in love with a girl, but she had had a crush. Or still have a crush on a girl. It was dumb and just a small schoolgirl crush. It had started on the first day Reg started studying with Remus and Lily. Lily… Pandora had gone into the library in search of Reg and she’d found him studying with them. Her vibrant red hair was what caught her eye first, then her freckles, then her smile. But it wasn’t like anything could happen. It was just a small schoolgirl crush. That was all.
Pandora made her way down to the common room and sees Dorcas, Regulus, Barty and Evan waiting. Regulus was wearing a black suit, his black shirt perfectly pressed. Okay emo. Barty and Evan were dressed more casually, just some jeans and the only tops that didn’t have any stains on them. Honestly, you would think they were raised in a barn.
‘Are we ready to go?’ Pandora asked.
‘Absolutely. Let’s go boys.’ Dorcas replied.
They step out into the cold, autumn air and make their way over to Gryffindor tower. Pandora was reminded of how much she loves Hogwarts. The way the leaves crunch under her feet, the view of the sunset, the worn stone beneath their feet. She was so grateful to go to Hogwarts. But that might just be her. Eventually, they reach Gryffindor. Honestly, why does it have to be on the opposite side of schools? Regulus mutters the password and they step inside.
