Nightmare.
I give Shelly a nice dream, my magic floating over her tan hollow ammonite shell. Well, that’s everyone on my list. I should start heading to bed, I walk to my room and swing the door open. I feel very tired after attending to everyones dreams. I close the door and plop down on my bed, face planting into it. I let out a sigh into the covers and snuggle into my blanket, breathing in the fresh smell. I’m so glad I washed my covers, I start to nod off. I slowly give into the tiredness and fall asleep. I wake up in Dandy’s room, that’s weird… I don’t remember falling asleep here. I get up and make my way over to the door, when I open it. I see twisted Vee… I gasp, my face shocked. No… this couldn’t have happened, not again… Was I asleep for that long…? I reach out, “V-Vee, what did Dandy do to her.” Her ichor filled systems gurgle for a moment, before a small scratchy sound comes out of her voice box. It clears into distorted words, “This is your fault, you weren’t there to protect us. Now we’re like this because of you, because you trusted him… Why are you always so stupid all the time?” I gasp, I had never heard Vee be so rude before… I take a step back, my voice quiet as I speak. “W-What…?” Vee shakes her head, she scoffs. “Do you really not understand? Jeez, you’re dumber than I thought. You deserve for this to happen to you…” Twisted Shelly comes out from behind Vee, I back up more in fear, I didn’t want to hurt my friends… I wanted to defend myself, to do something. But I couldn’t, I couldn’t bear to see them hurt. Twisted Shelly giggles, “You’re so funny when you’re dumb! Which is all the time, I can’t believe I was friends with someone as useless as you!” I feel a lump in my throat form, that smile she had on all the time… It pained me to see her look so happy while saying that, like she really did mean it. But everything they said about me was true, they really did mean it didn’t they…? I failed them all… Twisted Shelly steps closer, her huge steps echoing in the halls. “You deserve to be killed, to suffer like us! I mean, no one would miss you anyway. It’s not like we actually care about you!” Twisted Shelly says happily, I can’t help but think. I do deserve this… I let them get hurt, everyone I cared about is gone. And it’s all MY FAULT… “I’m sorry, you’re right. I deserve to die, hurt me… I want you to feel better…” Twisted Shelly laughs, “This is gonna be fun!” She swings at me with her claws. I brace for the hit, closing my eyes. When I don't feel her hit me, I open my eyes. A confused expression on my face, I look around. I see darkness, it seems eternal. I suddenly see a figure far away in the distance, it’s Dandy. I start running to him, not even knowing what my thought process is. All I know, is that I want someone. Someone who is near, someone who can comfort me. I run even faster as Dandy’s silhouette gets bigger, “DANDY!” I spread my arms out, I’m about to hug him but he disappears. I feel my arms tough nothing, I hadn’t even realized I had closed my eyes. I open them and see… Nothing… “Dandy…?” I feel tears well up in my eyes, I just want someone to stay with me… I WANT someone to COMFORT ME! Tears stream down my face rapidly. I hear laughter around me, it was Dandy’s. It wasn’t his usual innocent laughter, he seemed more insane. I look around for the source, it gets louder and louder as time passes. It latest for a few more minutes, until it stops. I see Dandy in front of me, I immediately feel relieved to know another person is here. “Dandy! Oh, thank goodness you’re here! I thought I was alone!” He tilts his head, “Why, are you so happy? I thought you hated me. Are you that messed up to come back?” I feel a lump reform in my throat. “Jeez, and I thought I was clingy. Can you really not go without attention for a few minutes? You’re really that pathetic?” He laughs, his laugh echoing through the dark place. I feel a chill run down my spine. “B-But, Dandy I… I don’t…” I didn’t know what to say, I usually didn’t talk to him like this. I don’t know what’s wrong with me right now, “Please… I’m sorry I’m not your friend anymore, I just want someone to love me… Please don’t leave…” I fall to my knees, they feel weak. I can’t help but let a few tears out, my head is down shielding my view from Dandy. Some of my tears drop on the ground, I can feel his eyes on me. I’m so pathetic like this… He lifts my chin up with his hand, he looks at me with that innocent smile he used to have. I’m glad I can see it one last time. “Oh Astro, you know I don’t love you anymore. I never will, I’m glad I can stop having to deal with your depressed mood all the time.” He squeezes my cheeks, still smiling. More tears fall down my face, my voice shakes as I speak. “Please… I’m sorry, please love me again…” Dandy rolls his eyes, “Oh there goes the guilt tripping again, why do you always do that Astro?” I hiccup, he was right. I always try to make people forgive me… I’m really that terrible. Dandy brings a capsule of ichor to my mouth, “Open wide!” I can’t resist, I open my mouth. All my limbs feel heavy, he makes me drink the whole capsule. I cough some of it up, I can barely breath. I fall to the ground, I can hear Dandy laughing. I feel sick, everything is spinning… I feel like I need to throw up, “HURGHH!” I throw up ichor on the floor, I can feel the burning sensation in my throat. It hurts so much… I can’t breathe, I cough up more ichor. The burning sensation in my throat is getting worse, I can feel my stomach start to burn as well. Dandy pushes me on my back, “Come on Astro, get up. You can’t just sit here and do nothing while the others are hurting.” I stand up, my legs feel like they’re about to give out. Dandy laughs, “Wow, you look so funny struggling to breathe, you’re turning blue! I mean, you’re already blue enough!” Dandy jokes, I can feel the air I’m receiving getting thinner and thinner. “Dandy… Please, I-I can’t…” I try to catch my breath, but it’s no use. Dandy laughs, “I’m gonna have some fun with you, Astro…” He takes out a knife, I back up in fear. “W-Wait! Dandy p-please, don’t hurt… M-Me…!” Dandy slides the blade across my cheek, “Oh Astro, but don’t you remember what I did to the others? You deserve to be dead like they are, and I’m gonna make your death even worse…” He pushes the blade slightly into my cheek, making a small scar there. It hurts, really bad. But I can’t help but think I deserve this, I deserve being hurt… “I’m sorry, you’re right… I deserve being hurt…” Dandy cups my cheek, “I’m so happy you’re finally realizing that Astro…” I hug Dandy, I don’t know if it’s out of love or simply trying to feel some comfort. He hugs back, my grip on him getting tighter. Suddenly, he stabs me in the back. I choke on my own ichor, he pulls the knife out letting a bunch of the ichor splash on the floor. I start breathing faster, I can’t calm down. More tears fall down my face, he stabs me in the back again. I let out a pained yell, I can barely keep my voice steady. “P-Please… It h-hurts…!” I fall back on my knees again, I can barely stay awake. Dandy uses the knife to lift my chin up, “This is your reminder that you deserve this Astro, you deserve all of this.” He puts the knife to my throat, I… Don’t… Want… To… DIE… I suddenly wake up, I’m all sweaty with dry tears on my face. Vee is shaking me rapidly and shouting my name. “ASTRO! ARE YOU OKAY?!” I gasp, “V-Vee! You’re okay!” I hug her tightly, it was all just a dream. She shakes her head confused, “Of course I’m okay! Did you think I just up and died on you?” My voice is muffled by me covering my mouth with my blanket, “Maybe…” Vee gasps, “Well that's just absurd! I can put up a fight against the twisteds, plus I would wake you up for help if I need to. I’m not that weak!” I smile, I’m so glad it was just a dream. But it was weird, why did I say that to Dandy? I said that I loved him, but… I don’t know if I really meant it, I don’t really like him anymore. But what did I even mean by “I love you?” It felt different, it wasn’t the same.Whatever, I’ll worry about that later. In the meantime, I’m gonna spend some time with everyone…
