It was almost 3am
and Ena was still awake, its something usual ever since she joined nightcord, okay fine its not like she was ever getting normal sleep due to her stress with her art. She would always sit in her room for hours in front of her canva, with the paintbrush on her one hand painting and painting.
Most of the time she would destroy it completely because of the tiny mistakes she would make, she couldnt control her emotions and especially her anger and it hurted her. Of course she would cry and have a meltdown later and maybe threw her stuff down the floor.
Well it wasnt really one of these days exactly but Ena decided to take a night off and not join Nightcord. Of course her stupid forgot to tell the others.
Kanade and Mafuyu didnt though it much, they thought Ena maybe got tired from all these nights that she was working for her art and she decided to rest, but Mizuki was worried, she felt something off.
Mizuki: hm...should I get into her room? Ehehh~ I mean I do know her adress why cant I?
Mizuki giggled as she thought of it, of course her parents were sleeping so they wouldn't notice her sneaking out of the house at midnights, its not like its the first time she does that.

Ena was still in her room, half asleep, she was sitting in front of the canva painting.
Ena: something seems off...i cant think of it...is it the coloring...? The blending..?
As Ena was overthinking she froze and jumped by the sound of knocking in her window. It was literally 3am, who the fuck was it?!
Ena was scared, her painbrush fell into the floor while her hand was trembling
Ena: "w-who t-the-"
Ena slowly stand up and walked through the window. She took a big breath but before she would pull the curtains,
she heard a familiar voice.
"Enaaa!~ you awake???"
Ena's eyes wided
Ena: "that idiot..."
Ena immediately pulled the curtain just to see a pink haired girl in front of the mirror that was trying to see what was inside. Mizuki jumped at the sign of the curtains being pulled open and Ena being revealed from the other side.
Ena open the window and saw Mizuki giggling awkwardly
Ena: "what the fuck Mizuki?!?! Its 3am did you seriously just sneak out of your house to sneak into mines without even alarming me first?! And its hella dangerous out there walking all alone by midnight-
Mizuki: "Jeez! Ena I know silly! I came here because you didnt answer my texts I got worried, what can I say?"
Mizuki smirked as Ena helped her get into the room safely from outside the window. Ena was pissed off ( ts pmo ahh ) and blushed by the sign that Mizuki was messing with her, even though she was really mad at her.
Ena: "thats the most stupidest reason I had ever heard in my entirely life... mizuki you sent me a message at 2am did you expect me to answer it at that time-?"
Mizuki: "sooo...you saw the messages huh?"
Ena: "w-what?! No!!" I-i just.. I just saw the notifications I was too exhausted to answer..!
Ena was struggling to answer and find an excuse
Mizuki: "alright alright...whatever you say princess."
Ena: "jeez stop calling me that its cringe..."
Mizuki: "ahahaha you are blushing though~!"
Ena didnt realised she was actually flustered by Mizuki's actions. She immediately covered her face as she mumbled to her some words
Ena: "fine...just shut up would you...?!"
Mizuki giggled and hugged her. Ena didnt expect the sudden hug from her but she didnt pull away. She hugged her back tightly and sat on her bed. She really felt her heart warm and safe into Mizuki arms, she smiled behind her back.
As some minutes passed and the silence was still remain. Ena slowly fall asleep into Mizuki's arms, its true she was exhausted due to her overworking. Mizuki noticed it and sighed
Mizuki: "Ena...gosh are you even taking care of yourself properly?
Mizuki said in a very quiet and gentle voice. She slowly lay with Ena in her arms on bed and cover herself and Ena with the warm blanket. As they were both cuddling, Mizuki was watching Ena's peacefully sleeping, she looked so beautiful... even if she looled tired and exhausted.
Mizuki turn around to see what was Ena drawing that time before she got here. On the canva it was an unfinished painting of some beautiful cherry blossoms, it was her favorite plant, her favorite flower. She smiled again, she really couldn't help it. Ena was really talented, she wished Ena would look at herself how Mizuki was describing it... mizuki was stroking Ena's hair before she also fells asleep. She softly kissed Ena on her forehead and looked at her for the last time before she close her eyes.
"Good night Ena, sleep well..."
