Summary
It's really ironic that im writing a story about OC character since I hate stories like that and never read them but oh well - how the tables turn. Anyway this is just to dump my excitement from the idea I had, it's literally so bad I hope no one reads it. I just needed to get this idea out somewhere. This is the first story I ever publish anywhere and it's that out of all the ideas I ever had. It's almost sad.

They interrogate the girl for 2 more hours before they give up. It's clear she won't tell them anything, and her sarcastic responses and mockery are getting on their nerves.

Sirius and Remus are assigned to keep an eye on her.

"I'm not playing a babysitter for Voldemort's kid!" Sirius argues but eventually relents when Dumbledore and Remus join forces to convince him.

They let her out of the magical binds so she can walk around, since the base is under Fidelius's charm anyway and she won't be able to leave unless they allow her, but keep the magic cancelling cuffs on.

Harry is already at a sleepover at Weasley's so he'll just stay there for longer while they are dealing with this kid.

Sirius watched her closely, his eyes narrowed in suspicion. "You better not try anything funny," he warned, his tone sharp. He knew he was probably too harsh on her but she was Voldemort's kid for Merlin's sake! The man who killed his best friends!

Remus sighed, running his hand through his hair. "Sirius, we can't treat her like an animal." There must be a better way to get through to her.

"She's a danger just like her father," Sirius snapped back, "and she'll prove it if given half the chance." He turned to the girl, his voice cold. "Keep moving. You're going to your room."

It would be almost ironic how quickly he judged her based on who her family is, considering his own past, if not for the fact that he did see her in action and she really was dangerous.

Remus sighed and turned to her. "We're not your enemies," he said softly, hoping to reach her somehow. "We just want to protect people from Voldemort." Maybe if we treat her with kindness, she'll open up.

Sirius shook his head, muttering, "She's Voldemort's daughter, Remus. Don't forget that." But even if she's like him, maybe there's still hope for her. She's still just a child after all.

The girl just looks them up and down, unimpressed. "Cute" she says sarcastically then shrugs "So where's my temporary room? Since i'm not going to stay here for long. I'll escape before you even know it."

Sirius clenched his fists but smiled sarcastically at her. "This way, my dark lady" he said with an exaggerated bow and started walking down the hall.

Remus sighed.

They reach one of the guest rooms. It's just rooms Order members use when they need a quick nap before going back into the field and other stuff, so there's not much in it. Just a bed, desk and closet.

"I hope it's up to your liking, milady" Sirius continued with the sarcasm.

"It's not" she responds, unbothered by his way of speaking. "You may go now" she says as if she were the one dismissing them even though she's the one held captive here.

"We'll be right outside," Sirius replied, his tone harsh. She needs to understand she's not in control here. He glared at her before stepping out of the room.

Remus hesitated for a moment before following him. Once they were in the hallway, he looked at Sirius. "We have to find a way to communicate with her," he said quietly. "She's just a child. We can't let her continue down this path."

Sirius scowled, running a hand through his hair. "She's Voldemort's child, Remus. How can we trust her?" But he's right. We can't just let her become a monster like her father. He sighed heavily. "But we'll figure something out. For now, let's just keep an eye on her."

The next day, while Remus prepares breakfast, he tells Sirius to go wake the kid up.

Grumbling under his breath, Sirius doesn't argue that much. As soon as he walks into the room, the girl makes a move as if to cast a spell, out of instinct, before she realizes she can't. Was she not sleeping the whole night?

"What do you want?" she scoffs and jumps off the bed.

Sirius raised an eyebrow at her failed attempt but said nothing. Instead, he gestured towards the door. "Breakfast," he said gruffly, his voice betraying none of his thoughts. She's just a child, but she's dangerous.

Remus stood in the kitchen, stirring a pot over the stove. He glanced up as they entered, offering her a small smile. "Good morning," he said, trying to keep things civil. "I made porridge. Would you like some?"

"No," she scoffs immediately. "You could have laced it with Veritaserum or other potions," she says, crossing her arms over her chest. "And I don't even like porridge."

Sirius rolls his eyes and mutters under his breath "Of course you don't." Earning a look from Remus.

"It's not laced with anything." Remus assures her with a slight smile. "But if you don't like porridge, we can try something else." he moves to check the cabinets for what else they have.

"And what exactly is up to your standards, princess of darkness?" Sirius scoffs, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Nothing you could give me," she spat. "I'm not taking anything from you anyway," she said, mimicking Sirius's pose.

Remus frowned slightly at her refusal, understanding her caution but wishing she would trust them more. "Suit yourself," he said, placing the bowl on the table anyway.

Building trust is most important. Without it, she won't tell us anything. "Is there anything specific you'd like to do after breakfast?" Remus asked kindly. "Perhaps you have a favorite hobby we can do together?"

The child had the nerve to roll her eyes again. "How about leaving from here?" she scoffs, then shrugs. "I'm going to go to the library here. Maybe that way this won't be a complete waste of time."

Sirius clenched his fists under the table, but Remus placed his hand over his. "So you like reading then?" he smiled. "I do too. What kind of books do you like to read?"

"Educational ones. About dark magic," she deadpanned.

Sirius scoffs, unable to bite his tongue anymore. "Good luck. You won't find any in here. Maybe we can get you some coloring books instead? They're more suitable for people your age."

The girl doesn't miss a beat. "Thanks for the offer, but I think you'll need them more. Or maybe you'd prefer a dog treat to calm down?"

"Those dog jokes are getting old."

"Just like you."

"Enough!" Remus said firmly, then shook his head, taking a deep breath. "It's clear you two don't like each other, but we can at least be civil."

"I am civil; he just has rabies. Should have given him a vaccine."

"How am I supposed to be civil to a Voldemort's brat?!"

Remus sighed again.
