Nymph/Herm
The energy between them always jumped back and forth like a current feeding off itself and growing more powerful by the minute. They’d never been together long enough for it to explode and there was always something holding them back. Remus and Ron were like rubber gloves between them providing insulation.
But now?
“Have the three of you absolutely lost your minds? You could have been killed!” Minerva shouted.
“I have never been so disappointed in my life! I expect this immature behavior from you two, but Hermione? Do you really expect us to believe you went along with this?”
Hermione clenched her fist.
“Absolutely! A man’s life was at stake! We didn’t have the time for you to tell us how you’d handle it.”
Kingsley’s voice rattled her bravado.
“And now that man is dead because of your preferred…methods. Will you not even admit that?”
Harry took this time to chime in.
“We can admit that it went to shit, we should have called you at some point, but at least we know the prophecy now and the Minister has seen You know who.”
“Yes and now there is a panic. You let him make a grand entrance into the public eye instead of a controlled one.” Percy said, ever so concerned about politics.
“Well it’s not our fault is it? You know who put all those visions in Harry’s head. How could we have known?”
Because I told you. Hermione wHook with fury at his statement. She used it.
“Perhaps if you would keep us in the loop , this wouldn’t happen! It’s clear to us that no matter what we say, you won’t listen.”
Minerva turned a disappointing eye towards Hermione and she fought to let it roll off of her.
“Is the death of Sirius not enough to show you why we don’t run wild with your claims? Not even a year after earning his freedom and he gets thrown into the veil! You are as much to blame for the murder of Sirius Black as his deranged cousin.”
Hermione gasped in horror and Tonks took this time to step in.
“Whoa. Easy on the murder accusations! Sirius knew what he was stepping into. I think we should all take a break.”
Minerva threw her hands up, though her Stern expression seemed to hold some inkling of regret and stalked out of the room.
“Come on, Hermione.” Tonks said and ushered the poor girl out of the room.
