Chapter Three

Neither Lucius nor Hermione wanted an engagement party. "Thank God," Snape muttered, rolling his eyes upwards.

The ceremony was planned for the back garden at Malfoy Manor. Lucius gave Hermione carte blanche to organize and decorate however she wanted. Hermione and a giggling Ginny Weasley performed all kinds of charms to warm the garden and to have chamber music playing from the trees.

"Lucius Malfoy, who would have thought!" laughed Ginny, lifting her wand and watching as tablecloths floated through the air and onto the tables.

Hermione jabbed at the air with her wand. Grey cushions popped into place on the iron-wrought chairs. "I can't explain it, Ginny. We just saw each other in a different light. When we realized marriage -- love, even -- was a possibility, everything just fell into place and it felt right." Lifting an eyebrow teasingly, Hermione looked over at her friend. "How are you and Harry?"

Ginny's cheeks bloomed a delightful shade of pink. "Our wedding plans are going... well, they're going. With me being the only daughter, Mum is getting involved in everything. She wants to control everything. Dad just laughs and helps her realize that Harry and I might want to have a say in things. And of course Harry can do no wrong in their eyes."

Hermione wrapped Ginny in a side hug. "I'm so sorry. When all this is over, you'll breathe such a sigh of relief."

"And, Hermione, I wasn't going to tell you this, I didn't want to steal your thunder, but I... I'm pregnant."

"Oh my God!" Hermione squealed in delight, dropping her wand. She went in for a full-body hug, almost crushing poor Ginny to her. "When are you due?"

"The middle of June," Ginny answered with a shy grin. "I'm hoping that I'll still look amazing in my wedding gown. We're still thinking December 15."

"I'm so happy for you two!" Hermione exclaimed. "Harry must be over the moon."

"He really is." Ginny looked down and smoothed her shirt over her still-flat belly. Then she sharply looked up, a mischievous glint in her eye. "What about you and Lucius? Children or no?"

Hermione shrugged thoughtfully. She had never given much thought to children. But the more she thought about it, the more she liked the idea. She realized she wanted to give her children an enchanting Hogwarts upbringing, just as her father had done with her. Her thoughts took on shape as she gazed off into the distance. Would they have a little girl with long blonde hair just like her daddy's? Would they have a smart brownheaded boy with the hooked nose from the Snape side of the family, and would he grow up to be as intelligent and well-respected as his grandfather and maybe become Potions Master himself? Blushing, she stumbled over a spell and Ginny laughed and teased her.

Hermione had her hands full teaching her classes and planning their November 30 wedding. Lucius noticed how tired she looked and asked that she give him some of her burden. Touched at his thoughtfulness, Hermione brought over her parchments and lists and they worked on wedding invitations in the manor library.

"This is a hell of a lot of people, Hermione," Lucius laughed. With a flick of his wand, the envelope closed with the invitation inside. An embosser in the design of his family's crest floated over, stamped the back of the envelope, and it floated over to join a stack of others.

"That's exactly what my dad said," Hermione said with a grin. Looking up, she saw Lucius looking over at her, trepidation on his face.

"Are you sure you're okay with this, Hermione?"

"Lucius! Of course I am. Anyone who has a problem with our relationship can be dealt with by Fred and George. They have a bunch of hexes and spells they would love to test on people for their joke shop."

The two worked in silence for a while. Hermione finished her portion of the wedding invites and pushed them to the side, resting her head on her arms.

"Lucius?"

"Yes, my love."

"What do you think of children?"

He seemed ready to give a smart remark but then saw Hermione was serious. "What do you think of them? We need to be on the same page about this."

Hermione turned her face downward, hiding in her arms. "The more I think of it, the more I want them."

"Hermione." The way he said her name made her head shoot up. Emotion was all over the man's face, and two tears stood in his eyes. "I would love to have a child with you. I thought my chance on that had passed me by. Having you as the mother of my children... nothing would make me happier."

He took Hermione's hand and began kissing his way toward her neck. Responding in no time, Hermione buried her head in his chest. He swept her up from the floor and sat on the couch, cradling the young witch in his embrace. She cupped his face in her hands as they kissed, their tongues meeting, dancing away, and then coming together again.

Suddenly Lucius looked up. His hair had become mussed, and his hand had been inching closer and closer to between Hermione's legs. "Wait, are we making a baby right now?" he teased.

Hermione shook her head and crossed her arms to draw her cardigan over her head. "No. Let's just... practice." She unsnapped her bra, delighting in how her fiancé's eyes grew even wider. Hermione cast a quick contraceptive spell over herself and then drew Lucius' head close to her breasts, where he nuzzled, licked, and massaged them in turn. He moved her short skirt out of the way hurriedly, and felt her wetness with one finger, and then two. Her head fell back, and she was surprised for a second to realize that the moaning sounds, echoing off the library walls, was actually herself.

"Sweetheart, I'm not going to last long," Lucius murmured, unbuttoning his trousers. "Do you want your first time to be in a library?"

Hermione giggled, an adorable sound in the large space, and Lucius laughed, too. "Of course you do, what was I thinking." He growled in her ear, "Come here, you." He arranged Hermione over his cock, watching her closely as he lifted her up and then let her sink. "Breathe, honey. Breathe into it."

Hermione closed her eyes as these new feelings washed over her. It hurt, but also felt good at the same time. Lucius inserted a finger into her, circling around, and she groaned in ecstasy, louder than she ever thought she could be. This was so much better than anything she had ever done for herself.

Lucius' eyes darkened with pride as he watched his beautiful fiancée bounce on his lap. A wife, a child -- he hadn't thought any of it was possible. How much time had he wasted! He wrapped his arms around her, holding her in one spot, as he fucked her deep. "Are you doing okay?" he whispered, brushing hair from her eye and kissing her sweaty forehead. She nodded, her eyes closed and her arms tight around his neck. "I need you. Keep going. It feels so good." Lucius added a second finger and moments later her body trembled in his arms as her orgasm washed over her. God, the sounds she made!

"Who do you belong to?" he murmured, going as fast as he could, but still trying to be considerate.

"You. Just you. Only you." Hermione kissed the small, sensitive spot between his neck and shoulder.

"My bride. My wife. I'm going to put my baby in you. I'm going to love seeing you pregnant. And then, I'm going to give you another baby."

His fingers never stilled, and Hermione's wails turned to quiet whimpers as she held tight. Lucius spilled inside her, dropping his head on her shoulder.

"Christ, Hermione. You feel amazing."

She smiled and snuggled deeper into him. "Thank you," she mumbled.

Lucius could think of no other place he'd rather be. He was stunned every day that Hermione Snape was in love with him. Lost in his thoughts of gratitude, he almost didn't hear Hermione whisper, "Did you mean it? All those things?"

Lucius gripped her by the arms, looking straight at her. "Yes. Yes, I did. I love you. I want nothing more than a family with you. Whatever that means. Career, children, a home with you always by my side. I have so many dreams I want to share with you."

Hermione looked ready to cry. "I love you too."

He cradled her jaw and lowered his head to drop a gentle kiss on her mouth. Their kisses grew deeper, and hotter. Hermione performed a wandless spell and their clothes melted away. He was pleasantly surprised at how confident she had gotten.

"Stay here for round two or move up to my bedroom?" he purred in her ear. "I'm old and I need to lie down."

Hermione slyly moved his hand up to her breast and guided him in squeezing it in just the way she had learned she liked.

"I see we're staying. No surprise there," he laughed. She giggled as he changed position and twisted their bodies so he was lying on the couch. The library soon filled again with sounds of their lovemaking -- flesh slapping against flesh, Lucius' private growls in her ear, and Hermione's sexy little whimpering.
