ocean and penny walked along each other silently. Rain pelleted on the umbrella penny held between them. Quite the odd site to see the president (of student council) walking alongside… the insane girl? (idk lol)
it was a comfortable silence. penny was fluent in silence anyways. green eyes darted around her surroundings. glistening raindrops dripping off trees as they hit the ground with tiny quiet splat. Children playing in the road laughing. Teenagers laughing at gossip. A nice little town in the middle of nowhere.
blue eyes looked at the tall brunette walking next to her. ocean looked away and looked forward.
penny pondered on random subjects she was oddly interested in. animals sure.
“do you think when we step on ants. like their dad and mom will be sad”
she spoke quietly to the short dark haired ginger girl next to her.
ocean looked up at penny in… bewilderment?
“eh….ants are… too stupid to think of that. they’re stupid.”
ocean retorted pinching the bridge of her nose.
“ah- nope.”
penny answered back.
“…yes they are.”
Ocean said back
“they’re actually considered one of the smartest insects.”
penny answered
