16th April 2023

"This date is boring." I pout as I rest my head on the table infront of me,stultified. "This is not a date." Taehyun said from the other side, sternly. "Then why did you ask me to come?" I replied, stubbornly.

Taehyun sighed and gently set aside his book.

"I did not." He affirmed. "I told you that I was going to the library to study as the exams are approaching and I clearly warned you not to follow me here as I love my personal space. But you replied..."

Taehyun cleared his throat. "'FUCK YOU KANG TAEHYUN I'LL DO WHAT I WANT' and tailed me here."He said, in a loud whisper.

I wearily lifted my head and turned to Taehyun with worn out eyes.

"Let's leave, uh? It's such a exquisite Sunday morning and. You want to waste it here?!" I tried to persuade him. "Let's go out somewhere and have som fun?"

"No." He replied gravely.

I whined, annoyed. This man is impossible! "Whyyyy?" I wailed.

"Because. If you haven't noticed it Y/n Avery, the exams are nearing. You should study too." Taehyun sounded concern. "No they're not!" I said as I tried to recall the date of our exams. "It's in June!!! There's the sweet time of over a month." I whimpered.

"It won't hurt you to be a little prepared, will it?" Taehyun said.

"You're so boring!" I scoffed, dramatically. "We'll spend the evening uh... doing whatever you want. Study for now, uh?" Taehyun spoke as if he was talking to a little child. Pathetic.

"Whatever." I obstinately leaned back on my chair.

Taehyun resumed to focus on his books. Such a nerd! He looks kinda cute while being so absorbed in some work. Yeah, maybe I should let him study. Unintentionally, I found myself smiling while staring at him.

Suddenly, I noticed Ivy entering the Library accompanied by Caspian. Her eyes fell on me as well. I diverted my gaze. She, on the other hand, turned around abruptly and suggested Caspian that they should leave and tugged Caspian away with herself.

She hates even my presence now?

Sluggishly, I pulled a book of Taehyun's and hid my head in it. Taehyun smiled, assuming I'm studying, though his eyes were completely focused on the books he held open.

"So, where are we going?" Taehyun curiously asked as we strolled along the lake. Without answering verbally, I pulled him to a tree that stood tall beside the lake. We settled in it's shade.

"My sister is getting married." Taehyun suddenly announced. "What?" I shrieked. "My older sister... she's getting married." He repeated. "Oh...when?" I questioned, invested.

"This summer. My mom owled me this morning." He replied. "You didn't tell me!" I accused him, knowingly. "We were at the library ever since then, weren't we?" Taehyun answered.

"I guess I'm not invited?" I teased him.

"As if your mother will allow you to come." Taehyun turned serious. "You have studied me well over the past few months,eh?" I smirked.

Taehyun giggled.

"However, if you manage to sneak in, I can just introduce you as my friend to the guests." He induced. "I'm not your friend, Kang Taehyun." I shrieked, offended.

"It's better to introduce me as your girlfriend, isn't it?" I smirked leaning in towards him. "Oh really?" He leaned in flirtatiously as well. I nodded.

"Well then, I have a better option. How about I introduce you as the one with whom I'm gonna be in place of my sister after I pass out of Hogwarts?"

Eh?

EH?

EHHHHH????

If I had to sentence my feelings. I would politely express it as dkkwxkwkwkzkwoqososiwisiiIOKKkskqjzjsiwisjsjwksododkwkwksn.

He just-

I realised I was blushing and leaned away, making sure he didn't see it. He isn't serious? Is he... If he is...ah... I... I don't know how I should react.

"Whatever." I curtly replied.

Taehyun giggled. Bitch is probably enjoying my turmoil.

"Hey! Mate!" Suddenly a voiced called from a distance behind us. Instinctively, we turned to it. It was Choi Yeonjun, who was accompanied by Soobin, Beomgyu and Hueningkai.

Taehyun nodded as a repose.

The lot started approaching us. "Should I leave?" I suggested. "Nah, it's fine." Taehyun assured me. The bunch settled under the tree, beside us. Soobin and Hueningkai seemed uneasy.

Naturally, they were. We never hung out in this way ever before. The last time I encountered all of them together was at the start of 6th year when we had our little row.

"Hi, Y/n." Yeonjun was the first one daring to greet me. After all, we are from the same house indeed.

"Hmm." I replied, continuing to pull my bitchy face.

I just... I just don't know how to communicate with other people easily. I neither can make friends effortlessly. Is it right to act like that? While I'm going out with their friend?

And then....

Silence.

It was evident that the troop wanted to spend some time with themselves and I was getting in the way. But will I accept it? Absolutely not.

"So...uh.." Taehyun broke the ice. "Y'all already know each other and about everything that's going on. However, I'd like to do it formally. So, everyone! This is my girlfriend, Y/n and Y/n, these are my friends."

It was obvious that Taehyun was uttering nonsense because he didn't want the situation to turn into something awkward.

"Let's all put behind our past disagreements and try to get along, yeah?" His anticipating eyes travelled through everyone.

"Disagreements." Beomgyu finally spoke. Sarcasm was evident in his voice. "Yeah like how someone was boasting about her blood purity and is now doing nothing but dating a half-blood."

He's targetting me.

"Beomgyu-" Yeonjun warned.

"Impressive." I nodded, acknowledging. "How are you not a Slytherin?"

"Your house disgusts me." Beomgyu straightened his robe so that his Gryffindor tie was visible. It already was piercing my eye. Gosh, I hate Gryffindors. "Your house has nothing but mean diabolic people." He added.

"Beomgyu, I think-" Taehyun tried to speak in.

"Peter Pettigrew." I reminded him. "He worked for your Dark Lord." Beomgyu snapped. "Atleast the Dark Lord didn't betray the people who had been with him through all the rough years of Hogwarts as he transformed from a child to a man." I know I'm speaking nonsense. The Dark Lord is much worse. But who cares?

"Severus Snape." Beomgyu hissed.

"Uh huh? If it hadn't been for him, your house's everlasting pride Harry Potter would've croaked in his first year." I defended.

"If it hadn't been for Dumbledore who belonged to Gryffindor-" Suddenly Beomgyu's voice died out. His mouth was still moving. But no words escaped it.

Yeonjun had casted a silencing charm on him.

"Enough guys, I didn't bring us here for y'all to quarrel." Yeonjun sighed out. "I think we'll leave. We have quidditch practice anyway." Yeonjun announced and all of them departed along with a maddening Beomgyu.

"He started it." I defended myself as soon as they were out of earshot.

"It's just new to him." Atleast Taehyun wasn't blaming me. "There's so much time. I know you two will get along someday."

Too much time?

What does he mean?

Does he mean what I think he means?

Y/N, shut up.

I shoved away all my delusions. "Gryffindors are haughty and nutheaded." I hissed. Taehyun giggled.

"When will you stop judging people based on their blood status and house? It's not a right thing, Y/n. We should be kind to everyone." He lectured.

"Whatever."
