Crush

"I never thought I'd like a Slytherin, but I love a good challenge"

"Molly did you want me to wake up the boys" Indigo whispered, everyone in the house was still asleep except Her, Hermione, Ginny, and Molly. The ladies all woke up to help with breakfast. "Yes dear could do that for me please Arthur wants you all up and ready to go" Molly verified in a soft tone. She nodded then proceeded to walk upstairs.

Indigo knocked on the twin's door first "Fred George your mum said wake up breakfast is ready" she hears the door handle jiggle as Fred answers the door looking down at Indigo "excuse me short stuff we've been awake we've-" Fred grinned opening the door all the way "- been packing" George finished his sentence.

He stood up walking towards the door now both of them were towering over her. Fred hands her a box of chocolate shape like a heart. "We thought you might want some help with...you know who so bought you this" Indigo opens the box seeing all the different chocolates inside then gave them a skeptical look "this is just chocolate right? And how do you know I need help? I can tell him when I'm ready!" She closed the box while playing with the velvet material nervously.

George and Fred chuckled as they walked out of their room looking at her as they walked down the stairs " it's obvious you're hopeless without us and sure it 'just chocolate' " They both said together leaving her on the steps alone.

Indigo never trusted the twins with her secret crush on their brother Ron. They found out from Ginny because she blabbering to everyone when Indigo told her. Everyone knows except Ron.

"God damn those twins" Indigo shook her head and scoffed walking back up the steps past the loo. Harry came out from the loo seeing her holding a box of chocolates he chuckled closing the door behind him "I reckon you finally gonna confess to Ron" Harry smiled then his expression quickly changed when she punched his shoulder "fuck off harry, no I am not should I go send Cho an owl tell her that you want to confess". Harry scoffed as his breath hitched a little "I have no idea what you're talking about". He nervously laughed looking at her.

Indigo laughed leaving him as she continued to walk up the stairs further going past the door to Ron's room. She forgot she had chocolates in her hand. She hid it under her jumper then opened his door.

Ron was dead asleep she walked in closing the door softly. She ruined his slumber by shaking him vigorously  "wake up!! Wake up ron" she shouted, while he quickly woke up covering himself with his covers "bloody hell!" Ron was surprised to see her in his room, "your mum says breakfast is ready" he sat up and got out of bed. "Thank you for waking me up bunny I appreciate it" Ron smiled as he fixed his bed hair running his fingers through it. He's her called bunny since they were kids. One day in the great hall Indigo and Ron were arguing Indigo couldn't even remember it was probably the most stupid thing, anyway he pointed at when she was upset her nose scrunched up like a bunny so he's kept calling her that and gets pissed when anyone else does.

Indigo could help but stare he's so beautiful in the morning his long red hair, his sleepy face made her fall for him more. Ron soon caught her staring "um what's that under your jumper?" He pointed at it. She pulled it out not knowing what to say "well this is a box" he rolled his eyes "well duh what's in it? and whose it for?" Ron had so many questions she felt she couldn't answer.

"Um it's for you" Indigo spat out blushing. "I wanted to give you something for...Well um being my friend?" Her words were all over the place. Ron's face was red also "for being your 'friend' you say". He took the box from her hands and smiled "well thank you Indie, I love being your 'friend' I-i should get changed" indigo realized he was in his boxers and tank top the whole time "oh shit I'm- I'm sorry ill get going now" she rushed out of his room heading downstairs in the kitchen.

Her face was flushed with crimson Ginny and Hermione chuckled seeing her bright face "I suppose you forgot he sleeps in his boxers sometimes hmm" Ginny pushed as she nudges the girls arm "shut up" Indigo shook her head while covering her cheeks. She thought to her self this is gonna be a long trip.

. . .

Arthur leads the group all to the port key. The group was headed to the Quidditch World Cup game. When we get there were greeted by a man named Amos Diggory and his son Cedric "oh hello everyone nice to see you all oh and who might you be" He looked at Indigo holding his hand out for a handshake "I am Indigo Vivian Malfoy" his expression soften "a Malfoy hm you seem different from your family and your face looks familiar". He protest while he shook her hand.

Indigo became nervous not knowing what to say, Indigo's aunt told her that her mother was never known as a good person until her last days, the only person who knew indigo's mother was...is Ron. He found out one day when she slipped up telling him about her youth. He didn't care who Indigo's mother was he still cared for her cause he knew her mother doesn't define who she is as a person.

"Well heh yeah I-I get that a lot.." Her heart began to beat rapidly then she felt a hand grab hers, it was Ron "shall we go? we don't want to be late do we" Ron walked me over to the port key. "Thanks, Ron you're a lifesaver" she hugs him then planted a kiss on his cheek he smiles touching his cheek.

"Ok, ready everyone on three" Amos announced everyone places their hand somewhere on the boot Amos commenced counting down. Arthur cried out at harry to put his hand on the boot. They all Apparated. All the group could hear was the shouting then Amos told them to let go. Then we did we all fell on a grassy hill in pain. "Merlin's beard that was painful" Indigo chuckled.

"Let me help you up" Cedric offered his hand to her. "Thank you Cedric you're too kind" indigo took his hand and stood up. Cedric was a handsome fellow but Indigo never liked him that way seeing as she was already crushing on a certain someone. Indigo heard a scoff turn to see it was Ron he was already ahead of everyone "what's wrong with him?" Cedric asked you "honestly I haven't got a clue" she followed behind everyone else walk to the campsite.

Arthur saw Amos and Cedric off as they walked to their site. "Come on in you go hun" he leads me into the tent which was small on the outside but bigger inside. "Girls choose a bunker and unpack" Indigo walked to where the girls were and they couldn't stop giggling.

"whats got Ron's wand in a twist," she asked them as she unpacked "you silly, you and mister Cedric looked a little too close for his liking," Ginny said as she unpacked "he came in here and went straight for the kitchen huffing and puff like a wolf," Hermione said laughing. "No way he couldn't be jealous cause of me I don't even think he likes me sometimes" Indigo looked down at her fingertips nervously playing with her hands Hermione grabbed her hands calming her down "don't bring yourself down like that you don't know his feelings maybe he does" Hermione smiled as she held Indigo's hands, Ginny spoke in a happy tone "yeah my brother sometimes can be a bit thick" indigo all laughed at Ginny comment.

Indigo looked outside the doorway and seen Ron in the kitchen. "Ron get out of the kitchen we're all hungry!" Arthur said with his hands on his hips like Molly. The twins instigated "yeah get out of the kitchen Ron!" Arthur scolded "feet off the table!" the twins copied "feet off the table!" then put their feet back on the table. Indigo and the girls burst with laughter.

. . .

After they all unpacked the group headed to the Quidditch arena. As they walked up to the seats the had saved. She was stopped by Draco her annoying cousin. "Indigo? Does mother know you're with the Weasleys...how funny a snake was a bunch of lions" Draco had a smug look on his face when spoke "yes Malfoy and it is none of your business anyways" Indigo scowled at the blonde boy. "Well, father and I are in the minster box-" she cut off Draco "hey arsehole no one cares" Ginny holds in her chuckle.

Indigo sees Lucius approaching she quickly stopped insulting Draco. "Little Indigo... I see you made friends" she nod quietly "yes uncle..." Lucius had the same smug gaze on his face "well you enjoy the game, come to Draco let's go, and don't boast" they walk off their side of the arena. Indigo and the group walked to their side and she shook off the interaction with her relatives "I cannot believe that you're related to them like honestly" Hermione said holding her arm as they arrived at their spot.

Ron found himself standing next to her and tapped you on the shoulder "are you ok, bunny?" he asked softly "yeah I'm fine Ron, are you okay? you seemed bothered by something earlier" Ron cleared his throat nervously "y-yeah I'm fine look the game is starting". Ginny and Hermione chuckled covering hearing the conversation.

. . .

As soon as we got back to the tent everyone celebrated Viktor Krums Win you sat on the sofa with Hermione as the two girls both watch the boys celebrate "there no one like Krum" Ron declared as he looked around at his brothers. Indigo and Hermione rolled their eyes "here we go". he proceeded as the twins reacted "dumd Krum..dumd Krum" in a silly tone "he's like a bird the way he rides the wind" Ron continues to sound heroic talking about his idol she knew how much he loved the guy so she admired how passionate he was when he spoke about him.

"Think you're in love Ron" Ginny grinned as she looked at him "oh shut up" Ron shoved her off the twins began to sing and so did harry "Viktor I love you Viktor I do" then we all join in "when we're apart my heart only beats for you," indigo tells Hermione that she was going to get ready for bed as watched Ron smiling walking into her bunk. Ron watched her walk into the shared room with a smile on his face.
. . .

Indigo settled into her bunk, pulling the curtains closed for a moment of privacy. She leaned against the cool fabric, heart racing from the day's events, especially Ron's presence and the way he looked at her. The laughter from the boys outside faded, and she could still hear their teasing songs echoing in her mind.

She took a deep breath, recalling the way Ron's cheeks flushed when she had kissed him on the cheek earlier. The memory sent heat rushing to her face again. "What's wrong with me?" she whispered, running her fingers through her hair. She had never felt this way before, not even with her previous crushes. This was different—intense, confusing, and exhilarating all at once.

A soft knock on the bunk door startled her. "Indigo?" It was Ron. Her heart skipped a beat. "Can I come in?"

"Uh, yeah, sure!" she called out, quickly smoothing her hair down and trying to look nonchalant. The curtains parted slightly, and Ron peeked in, his expression a mix of determination and shyness.

"I just wanted to check on you," he said, stepping inside the small space. "You seemed a bit... off after my brother's teasing."

Indigo shrugged, trying to downplay her emotions. "I'm fine, really. Just a little overwhelmed with everything."

Ron nodded, but she could see the concern etched on his face. "You know, you don't have to listen to them. They just like to wind me up. It's all in good fun."

"I know," she replied softly, her gaze dropping to the floor. "But it's hard not to feel a little... exposed, you know?"

He stepped closer, his voice lowering. "You shouldn't feel that way. You're you, and that's what matters. Not who your family is or what anyone else thinks."

Indigo looked up, meeting his eyes. They were sincere, filled with warmth and understanding. "Thanks, Ron. That means a lot."

He smiled, the corners of his mouth lifting in that way that always made her heart flutter. "Besides, I think you're pretty great, regardless of what anyone else says."

A warmth spread through her chest, and she felt a new sense of courage. "Maybe I should take a page out of your book and just be myself more often."

Ron chuckled, scratching the back of his neck. "Yeah, well, it's easier for me. I'm a Weasley; we're used to being the underdogs. You've got a bit of that Malfoy air, though."

She rolled her eyes, but a smile crept onto her lips. "Thanks for that, Ron. Really encouraging."

He grinned, and the atmosphere shifted, becoming more serious. "Indigo, I—"

Before he could finish, a loud commotion erupted outside their tent. The twins were at it again, and the sound of laughter and playful shouts filled the air. Ron sighed, glancing towards the noise. "Looks like the party's still going strong."

"Should we join them?" Indigo asked, feeling a mix of excitement and reluctance to leave the moment they were having.

Ron hesitated, biting his lip. "Or we could stay here and just talk. Just us."

Indigo's heart raced again at the suggestion. "Yeah, I'd like that."

They settled onto the small sofa together, their shoulders brushing against each other. Indigo felt a rush of thrill at the intimacy of the moment. They shared stories, laughter, and thoughts about their lives, their dreams, and the future. Time seemed to slip away as they lost themselves in conversation.
