Chapter 10
It took several days, but Sirius finally came around to having shorter hair. He hated to admit it, but it felt good not having it in his face all the time.
While he sat with Harry one day, he noticed that Hermione and Fred was spending more and more time together. It surprised him, because he thought Hermione and Ron had something going. "Is Hermione and Fred a couple?" Sirius asked his godson while they watched the pilots doing their maneuvers in the distance.
"Ya" Harry replied. "Happened during the battle at Hogwarts. Hermione saved Fred's life when the wall started to fall. When Fred saw who it was that saved him, battle or not, he grabbed and kissed her. When he pulled back, he told her he loved her."
"Wow. That's some declaration. What about Ron, though?"
"Ron's ok with it. Ron told me not long after the battle was over that he knew that Hermione wasn't the one for him. He only told Molly that because she wanted the two of them together."
"So is there someone that Ron likes?"
"Yes, but I'm not sure who it is. He hasn't said."
"Is she here?"
"No. The only ones who came was Ginny, me, Fred, Hermione and George. Plus Remus and Tonks. I think that's also why Ron stayed behind. He didn't want to leave her."
"So who do you think it is?"
"Lavender Brown. Her and Ron dated during sixth year but they broke up. She was super clingy. Anyways, before the battle, I could see that Ron still had feelings for her. Plus she changed, a lot. She was more quiet and reserved."
"It's not Lavender" Ginny said as she approached the two. "But you're close."
Now Harry was confused. "Who is it?"
Ginny grinned. "Padma Patil. Parvati told me during the school term."
"Wow. Not something I expected to hear" Harry replied with a chuckle.
"Seems like Ron finally got his head out of his ass" Sirius added causing Harry to laugh and Ginny to nod. "He did."
"So what about George?"
"As far as I know, no. But George isn't one to broadcast his feelings."
"Not like Fred" Tonks added as she took joined them. "Anyways, I came to tell you that my mother is coming and bringing baby Teddy, Harry. You'll finally get to meet your godson."
"Who does he take after?" Sirius asked.
"He looks a lot like Remus, but he is also a metamorphagus like me. He likes to change his appearance constantly, so who he looks like now, I have no idea."
Just then like appeared with Tonks mother who was carrying Teddy, and Remus right behind them. Andromeda cried as she ran up to her daughter. Harry quickly took Teddy so mother and daughter could hug. Remus smiled as Harry talked to the baby.
Teddy must have liked what he saw because in no time his appearance changed to look like Harry. "Wow. He could almost pass as your son" Sirius said.
"Well he is my godson" Harry quipped.
"Oh Harry" Andromeda cried as she hugged him. "Thank you for what you did."
"I'm just glad it's over" he replied as he hugged her back. Andromeda then turned and hugged Sirius. "Anyone else alive that I should know about?"
"No" he replied. "I wish that James and Lily was here though."
"Well, we have Harry" Remus said. "So in a way, we have the marauders back."
"Oh goody" Sirius said with a grin while the others groaned. "Oh no" Andromeda cried. "Be afraid everyone. I know that look."
"To bad Snape isn't here" Remus said. "He was always out favorite target."
"Especially James'" Sirius added.
Harry shook his head. "Maybe Dad was wrong to pick on Snape the way he did."
"Oh no" Sirius cried. "He deserved every bit of it, especially after he called your mum the m word."
"I saw that" Harry whispered much to Sirius and Remus' surprise. "When?" Sirius asked.
"It was fifth year. It was during one of the lessons of legilamency that I was having with Snape. He was being overbearing and when I shot the protego charm to protect myself from invading my mind, I saw some of his worst memories."
"Oh Harry" Hermione whispered. "Why would you do that?"
"I didn't do it on purpose " Harry said. "Like I said Snape was abusing his teaching. I felt tortured."
"What did you see?" Remus asked.
"Snape was always alone. He didn't have any friends except mum. He thought if he called mum a mudblood, he would be accepted by those in Slytherin, but in the end it tore him to pieces."
"Still, he supported Voldemort and was a death eater" Sirius said. "I don't care what Dumbledore said, he was evil."
"No" Hermione spoke up to Harry's surprise. She smiled at Harry before looking at Sirius. "Harry told me what he saw in Snape's memories after he died. He changed when he realized that Voldemort was going after the Potter's. He protected Harry even though he didn't like it. He had a hand in protecting Harry all during Hogwarts, especially fifth year."
"He also stopped me from attacking Draco in 6th year on the astronomy tower" Harry added.
"But he killed Dumbledore " Remus said.
"On Dumbledore's orders" Harry added. "I can show you."
"Maybe we should see the memories " Remus said to Sirius."
"There's no pensieve" Fred added.
Luke grinned and headed to a cabinet in the corner. "Miss Granger had this sent here. It should work."
After everyone saw the memories that Snape had given Harry just before he died, there was a deathly silence in the room. Remus' face was pale and Sirius looked like he was going to be sick and had to sit down. "He was right" Sirius mumbled and Harry knew he was talking about Dumbledore. "I wish I could tell Snape I was sorry now."
"Maybe you can" Luke said with a slight frown on his face. "Let me see what I can do."
A couple hours passed before Luke appeared again. "Sirius, Remus, do you truly want to tell Snape you're sorry?"
Both men nodded and Luke smiled. "You will get your chance.
Just then two men appeared and they had Snape between them. "How?" Remus asked.
Leia chuckled as she looked at one of the ghosts. "All Luke had to do was tell our father, who is still trying to get on my good side by the way, and he then convinced his old mentor, Obi Wan to help with this."
"Your father, he looks more like your brother" Fred said causing everyone to laugh.
Leia rolled her eyes but everyone could see the slight smirk on her face. "You'll hear the story some other time, but for now, Sirius, Remus?"
Snape's eyes were wide as he stared at Sirius who he had believed to be dead. "Just one question" Snape said as he motioned to Sirius. "How is Black alive?"
"When he fell through the veil, it didn't kill him" Harry supplied. "It brought him here instead."
"Guess that's a good thing. You will have a part of your parents with you."
Tonks, who was standing next to Remus, elbowed him in the side and nodded towards Snape. "Right" Remus said. "Snape. I want to apologize. For everything we did to you in school and the years that followed. We were wrong."
Sirius nodded. "Harry showed us the memories that you gave to him just before you died."
"Wow. Never thought I would love to see the day that Black and Lupin would apologize" Snape snarked.
"Well you're not alive" Anakin said causing everyone to laugh.
"My point exactly. I had to die in order for them to apologize, as well as Potter."
"You've seen James?" Sirius asked.
"Yes. He is still unbearable, even though he's dead. Lily does her best to reign him in, but it doesn't work."
Remus chuckled. "What has James been doing?"
"After I died, James and Lily met me. James attacked me and gave me a hug for what I did. Never realized my ribs could still hurt even after I was dead, but Potter proved me wrong."
After a few months things settled down. Harry and Ginny got married which didn't surprise anyone but what did was when Fred and Hermione announced they had also gotten married and that Hermione was pregnant. Ben and Rey got married two weeks before Hermione gave birth.
Leia was now working to rebuild the galaxy and had moved to Corasaunt along with Han. Han and Chewie still smuggled and Harry as well as Ben would join them from time to time.
Sirius, thanks to Poe, had met Zorri Bliss when he had gone to Kajimii and had gotten married just several months later in time for Harry and Ginny's first born son to be born.
Everything was the way it should be and as Harry looked around at everyone who he loved, he found himself thankful for everything that had happened.
