Unbreakable Bond
As Hermione and Fleur strolled through the grand halls, the sound of their footsteps echoing softly on the marble floors, Fleur's gentle voice broke the peaceful silence. “Do you remember when you said no one messes with your wife?” she asked, looking up at Hermione with a tender, almost playful smile.
Hermione paused, turning to look at Fleur fully, her piercing gaze softening with an emotion that spoke volumes. Without a word, she pulled Fleur into her arms, holding her close in a protective embrace. She pressed a tender kiss to Fleur's temple, her lips lingering there for a moment, before whispering, “I meant every word. I will always protect you. No one will ever touch a single hair on your head, Fleur. You are my heart, and I will guard you with everything I have.”
Fleur closed her eyes, nuzzling into Hermione’s neck, her arms instinctively wrapping around her wife tightly. She felt safe in her arms, cherished, as if nothing in the world could harm her when Hermione was near. After a moment of silence, Fleur spoke again, her voice barely above a whisper. “Hermione…how did you know that day? How did you know we were meant to be? That we were…mates?”
Hermione gently pulled back just enough to look into Fleur’s eyes, her lips curving into the faintest of smiles. She brushed a stray strand of hair behind Fleur’s ear, her touch tender and intimate. “It was like…a call,” Hermione began, her voice low and steady, each word filled with the truth she had always known deep in her soul. “My soul called for you, Fleur. I didn’t know it at first—not fully—but every time I was near you, it was as if the world shifted into place. Every night when I closed my eyes, you were there. You’ve always been there.”
Fleur’s eyes widened slightly, her breath catching as she listened intently. Hermione continued, her voice a raw mixture of vulnerability and sincerity. “You were the lady of my dreams, Fleur. Even before I knew your name, before I knew your face—I knew you. My heart recognized you before my mind ever did. And once I saw you…” Hermione’s hand came up to gently cradle Fleur’s cheek, her thumb brushing tenderly against her skin, as if imprinting the feeling of her touch into her very soul. “I knew there was no one else for me. It’s you, Fleur. It’s always been you.”
Tears welled in Fleur’s eyes, but they were not tears of sorrow. They were tears of overwhelming joy and love, the kind that only came from knowing you were truly seen and adored. “Hermione…” she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. “You…you don’t know how much those words mean to me.”
Hermione leaned forward, her forehead coming to rest gently against Fleur’s. Her breath mingled with Fleur’s, and in that shared moment, their souls seemed to speak without the need for words. “I mean every single word,” Hermione murmured, her voice filled with certainty and devotion. “You are my everything, Fleur. My mate, my partner, my love. And I will spend every moment of this life proving it to you.”
Fleur closed the small distance between them, pressing her lips to Hermione’s in a kiss that was full of passion, tenderness, and unspoken promises. Hermione responded with equal fervor, her arms tightening around Fleur as if she never wanted to let go. The kiss seemed to seal the bond between them, a silent vow that their love would endure through all things.
When they finally pulled away, their faces were flushed, their breathing steadying as they looked into each other’s eyes. Fleur rested her head against Hermione’s chest, finding comfort in the steady, rhythmic beat of her heart. “I love you,” Fleur whispered, her voice soft but full of conviction.
“And I love you,” Hermione replied, her voice filled with unshakable certainty. “More than words could ever say.”
With that, Hermione took Fleur’s hand in hers, their fingers intertwining effortlessly. Together, they continued their walk, the connection between them unbreakable, their hearts and souls perfectly in sync. It was a love that transcended time and space, a bond so deep and unshakable that it would endure not just this life, but every life to come. Through every challenge, every joy, every sorrow—they would face it together, as one.
