Escape?
They found out.
They found out he is dating a half blood.
Now they are surely going to disown him.
Him being sorted into Gryffindor was already a great insult to the Noble and Most Ancient house of Black, but this?
So many thoughts were going through Sirius's mind as he sat at the dining table, being confronted about his horrible offence to the house of Black. How dare she tell them? She promised she will not say a word.
But here he was, Bellatrix and Narcissa just made his life a living nightmare.
"Sirius Orion Black. How dare disobey us like that? You know that this family values blood purity over anything!" Orion Black shouts with a seriously disappointed tone.
"You are a true disgrace to our family" Walburga says visibly disgusted.
"Not only is he a half blood but also a werewolf, truly pathetic" Bellatrix adds, laughing.
"A werewolf?! You are truly disgusting Sirius. You know their kind cannot be trusted. They are monsters. Just monsters. They dont have an ounce of kindness in them! Get the fuck out of my house. I never want to see you again" Orion yells.
Sirius stands up and slams his hands on the table. "HOW DARE YOU SPEAK OF HIM THAT WAY! Remus is the most caring and kind person I know. You don't even know him and you are already assuming he is a horrible person?
"How dare you talk to your father this way!" Walburga yells.
"Know, that one day that mother fucker will betray you, and i hope he fucking kills you.
Walburga looked at Sirius with pure hatred in her eyes. "You are not our son anymore. You are nothing. Just a mere blood traitor. Get the fuck out and never come back again"
Bellatrix and Narcissa chuckle, looking visibly pleased by the drama they stirred
Regulus lowers his head, knowing that if they find out about him and James, he will meet the same fate.
Sirius just looked calmly at his parents, trying not to show any emotions, but inside he felt empty. He just got disowned. He knew it would happen eventually, considering his rule breaking nature, and thought he came to terms with it, but now? He just wanted to fall to his knees and cry. And he didn't know why. For years he wanted to escape from his pure blood supremacist family, from this constant cycle of abuse, but now, as he is standing in the dining room listening to his parents words, he just can't bring himself to leave. He doesn't even feel rage, considering that they just called his boyfriend awful names. He felt empty.
"What the fuck are you waiting for? You heard your mother. Pack your bags, leave and never come back again." His father's words snap him out from the trance.
Sirius, without saying a word, as emotionless as possible goes to his room. As he closes the door he casts a silencing spell. He was sure that the second he is in his room he would just start bawling his eyes out. But, for some reason, he just couldn't bring himself to cry. He just sits down on the edge of his bed dissociating and blankly looking at the wall. He didn't know much time had passed as he was sitting like that, but the sound of the door opening snapped him out of the trance.
"Sirius? Are you okay?
"Oh Regulus, it's just you. I am fine. I honestly expected this to happen" He tries not to show any signs of emotions to his brother.
"Are you seriously leaving?" He mutters.
"Yeah, i don't want to be in this house for a second longer." Sirius says angrily.
But he couldn't bring himself to be angry. He didn't even know what he felt, it was such a weird emotion, he couldn't even describe it.
"Sirius, im afraid? What if he finds out about James?" He utters nervously.
Sirius was surprised. Not only by the fack that his brother came to his room but also because his brother was openly voicing his emotions. Mother and Father always said that talking about your emotions is a sign of weakness and you should always keep it to yourself. Sirius was silent for a while, trying to phrase his response.
"He won't. Neither Bellatrix or Narcissa know about you and him, so trust me, you will be okay." Sirius tries to calm him down.
"And where are you gonna go? You dont have another place to stay." The younger brother replies.
"I'm going to James's house obviously. And I dont know what I will do later, but I'm sure i will figure it out. It will all be alright." Sirius nonchalantly replies, trying not to show how devastated he is.
Regulus didn't really know why he even came to his brother's room. He was always told that his brother is a disgrace because he was in Gryffindor, they brainwashed him into thinking he was a horrible person and a blood traitor, and he tried to hate him, but there was a feeling deep down, that just made him unable to do so. It was weird. He even told his brother that he is scared. He never told anybody about his feelings. Especially fear.
"Well, guess I'll see you at Hogwarts then? Summer break is almost over after all." The younger brother finally spoke.
"Guess so. Bye Reggie." Sirius said.
"Bye Sirius" Regulus replied.
Regulus left his brother's room, and Sirius started packing his stuff. He started shoving clothes into his trunk, not bothering to fold them. His books and all his school supplies, and finally, his broom. After a while all his belongings were packed, and he came down the stairs and left, not saying goodbye to anyone else. He walked a couple blocks down the road and stopped to sit down on a bench. It was already dark and cold outside. But he just sat and contemplated, what will he do next. I mean he wasn't worried about a place to stay, the Potters will definitely take him in, but he can't just live with them forever can he? The sound of an engine snapped him out of his thoughts. A triple decker bus stopped in front of him. It was the knight bus. Sirius was a little surprised, yes, he knew about the bus, but he didn't think it would just show up like that. The conductor stepped out of the bus and said:
"Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard just stick out your wand hand, step on board, and we can take you anywhere you want to go."
Sirius picked his trunk up and entered the bus. He told the conductor the Potters address.
He sat on the edge of a bed and stared out of the window.
"So, you coming back home?" The conductor tried initiating a conversation.
Home... Sirius wanted to call the Potters house a home so badly.
"No, Im just visiting a friend that's all" He quickly thought of a response.
"At that time of the night? I mean I'm not judging or anything, but just visiting your friends that late at night is kind of weird you know?" The man laughed.
"Yeah, I know, its kind of an emergency though" Sirius replied.
""An emergency, I see." The conductor said.
Just as the conversation was starting to be a bit uncomfortable the driver announced Sirius's stop. He felt relieved that he wouldn't have to come up with some crazy lie as to why exactly he is going to the Potters house. Sirius stepped out of the bus and felt safe. He finally was at a place he could truly be free. He quickly took his trunk and began walking to the front door.
