๐™š chap. 4

Around a week went by, and your dreams were still plagued with Regulus. Just the other night, the pair of you were hanging out, alone. No Pandora, no Emi, no anyone. The worst part was that you didn't absolutely despise the idea, not that you didn't dislike it, but still. This was causing you to wake up at random hours throughout the night.

Currently, you were sitting in History of Magic, with Professor Binns' incessant rambling about The Goblin Revolution in that monotone voice of his, you were finding it proved very difficult not to doze off. You were copying whatever notes you thought would end up being useful on the test to keep yourself from slumber.

Of course, the reason you were barely sleeping enough just had to rase his hand, and ask a question that you didn't quite catch. You didn't dare look in Regulus' direction, no that would through you off when he ended up throwing you a glare. You were attempting to remind yourself that the two of you weren't close, and you'd just been dreaming of an entirely different person with the same looks and voice as him.

Binns answered the question without changing the tone in his voice at all, and it just had to be then that you couldn't resist the temptation of sleep any longer. You dozed off, dreaming of Regulus, again. It seemed all to vivid this time though. Looking back on it, maybe it was his proximity. You were in the same room instead of eight floors apart.

The next time you opened your eyes, it was because Emi was shaking you repeatedly. You opened your eyes to an empty classroom. You looked around, and not even the professor was there. You figured he had disappeared behind his blackboard into his office for lunch. You scrambled to collect your things, and that's when you realized Emi looked a lot like Regulus. Ah, of course it was in fact the obsidian-haired boy.

As you turned to look at him, he was staring at your cheek. "What?" You asked him, attempting to stay civil.
"You've got a little something there," He said, tone filled with apathy as he gestured to his own cheek. You pulled out your pocket mirror from your bag, and looked into it. There was, in fact, a little something there. The little something being ink. Of course you had to fall asleep onto your freshly written notes. You cursed under your breath, and reluctantly thanked him.

You raced to the nearest bathroom, and stared into a mirror. You turned on the faucet, and attempted to wipe off the dark ink. You switched in between cursing the gods, and nearly crying due to the heat of the friction. Just when you were about to give up and retreat to your dorm for the night, halfway through your classes, and without anything but 'Moony toast', the Marauders called it in favor of Remus, Moaning Myrtle decided to make an appearance. "What're you doing? Shouldn't you be downstairs eating?"
"Not now Myrtle," You said in response. She hovered over, and looked at you through the mirror.
"Oh, you have a little some-"
"I know, Myrtle."
"Why don't you just magic it off?" Oh.

You barely made it up to lunch, and grabbed a sandwich from one of the trays. You hurried to eat it. "Where have you been?" Pandora asked.
"Sleeping in Binns' class." Emi responded for you.
"I was not-" You began to defend.
"Then snogging Regulus maybe?" Emi retorted. "He was the last one out of class other than you." Pandora gasped.
"No!" You were quick to defend.
"You're right, it looks more like he was more interested in your cheek." Emi gestured to her own cheek.
"No, I got ink on it when I fell asleep in Binns' class."
"Why didn't you just magic it off?" The pair asked in sync.
"Myrtle asked me that same thing."

Classes were finally over for the day, and you were relived to say the least. You plopped back onto your bed. Now agreeing with what the girls were saying about dropping out last week. You'd just finished diner, and were full and very, very tired. You got up reluctantly, and got ready for bed. Only then were you allowing yourself to drift away into what I'd like to call, 'Regulus dream land'.
