Chapter 1

You never quite know what to expect anymore when your sisters are geniuses and your dog can talk and also you're your genius sisters test subject- and the only one too- so you are usually pretty flexible in what happens.
Johnny test had been through a lot, but couldn't really explain much. No one sane would believe him, and no one sane could take him seriously. Which was valid, but still pretty sucky.
So one day when Johnny was doing homework, and debating actually doing it, and his sisters called for him to come to the laboratory, he didn't think much of it.
So he went up the stairs, to the room, and stood in front of his sisters.
"So Johnny, did you get all that?" Susan asked, tilting her head with the star hairclip. He had not got all that, and wasn't even paying attention at all. He was more focused on Dukey who was sitting on the ground and attempting to not dart out the open window to the squirrels outside on the tree.
But he nodded, taking his attention from Dukey to his sisters. Susan seemed satisfied, while Mary was more hesitant to accept that. So when Mary led him to the portal area, he wasn't too surprised (but was grateful) when she whispered the instructions.
"So basically, you're going through the portal. You're going to a random place, one that we don't even know of. Pick up that backpack with supplies, it has food and water and bandages. Dueky will accompany you after a day. We're testing how well the tracking device in this," She paused to take off a bracelet of hers that beeped and turned green once it was put on Johnny, and he boredly wondered if it could shoot lazers or something cool.
"But yeah, Get in, Stay there, And wait for us to come to you. Communicate with us through the tracker, and if you need help then we'll teleport you out. Stay safe, alright?" She finished, stepping out of the way to the portal cube as Susan stepped to the side of the cube and to a lever which he assumed would send him off.
He picked off the backpack from the ground, a basic brown one with some green and red patches. Obviously worn, and he wouldn't be surprised if it was an old thrifted thing.
So Johnny entered the Cube, waving goodbye to Dueky and his sisters as the metal door shut and trapped him inside. He looked around, and sat on the leather bench in there. At least they had given them that. He sighed, why did he sign up for another free test subject coupon? This was boring. But whatever, it would be done.
So he sat, and held on as a metallic click was heard, the lever being pushed down, and spun rapidly until he was very disoriented and couldn't tell up from down. Then it stopped spinning, and he recovered up and down and all the senses.
The door opened with a hiss, and he grabbed the backpack which had fallen and placed it on his back. He tapped the tracker bracket thing, checking it, and it was still green. Good, most likely.
So he existed the cube, and surprisingly everything was all white. White padded walls and floors, and an imprint up at the high top with a flat light.
Oh, and there were some other people there too.
