Harry The Dragel - Ideas and Prompts
Summary
Several ideas for plot that could be bigger or lesser (usually bigger) canon/fanon-divergence from "There Be Dragons, Harry" by Scioneeris and most associated verse-wise fanfiction. Those particular ones were thought up while writing a comment for "Harry Potter and the Shadow Vale" by falconoflight (which I have enjoyed so far and don't want to not mention it).Up for adoption or simple inspiration and further changes.
Note
Disclaimer (because it feels right to say so): If you recognize something or someone mentioned in my idea outlines... well, they likely belong to someone else, because (so far) there is not much creative content belonging to me out there in the wide world. I seek no profit posting here.Hello there! So, this is in fact my first time attempting to post anything on AO3 that isn't a comment. I have some confidence issues about getting feedback, while the actual sharing of my ideas isn't a problem so there is that.I am reasonably well capable of conceptual world-building or character-building, plotting out action, and so on. Just writing an actual scene is a hassle. I do creative concept writing (or how one might call it) as an outlet when my mind gets "busy". There might be an elaborately tangled mess of some 300+ files on my hard drive accumulated over the past 4 years, but nothing really was sent out into the Web to live its own life. Most of my "completed" works were for middle or high school projects, really and as such were strictly Original Work or theme-related. Even then I got entirely too stuck on descriptions and felt like giving voice to characters to make them sound real is a bit beyond me. So, if I ever write out anything it will be either elaborately plotted concept or singular scene in a draft. No full chapters for me >,<.As anyone can figure out reading my notes, comments, (future) posts, etc. I am very 'wordy' so to speak. I also tend towards very long sentences but hopefully with some editing it will be reigned in over time. English isn't my first language, so things can get wonky in some places. Even after 15+ years of formal education and using the language for media consumption or at work some things don't work out as well as they might have been supposed to.That being said - starting from this list and likely also going back to some ideas I wrote out in comments under one fanfic or another, I will try to post some things. Because sharing is caring and I am very much down the rabbit hole of multiple fandoms that I care about in my limited free time.If anyone is interested in making a grab for any of those ideas I would only request some sort of reference when posting, as I would greatly enjoy reading another work in this fandom.Enjoy!

Additional Premise:

What I largely enjoy in fandoms is when my creative wriitng can go into multiple directions because the worldbuilding allows for it. Diversity of cultures, species, weird things that are actually possible to take place and be explained. I tend to overcomplicate and I need to keep myself in check to make sure that 'overloading' characters doesn't happen, as fun as Harry-Lord-of-Twelve-Houses is, some variants of my headcanon in regards to how magic works make it impossible and I would never really choose such scenario (unless overburdened Harry is the choice in the work and we want him to have staff of advisors, secretaries, lawyers, proxies and so on... as well as multiple partners if circumstances demand at least one child for each title?). So there is that.

Please, keep in mind that many of my ideas work better if Harry has different background, experiences, character growth or reactions to certain situations. Also, apart from different backstory, the saving-people-thing being a compulsion-based creation of Dumbledore or otherwise Harry being more or less observant - story I might weave together will be entirely outside the canon/fanon created in TBDH by Scioneeris not to mention the original Dragel realm-creating series. I read neither of those and am unlikely at the moment.

Idea 1 Harry the Dragel becoming a Baker.

Or otherwise doing something similarly non-flashy or putting him into the midst of nevarian high society. It could be a story where Harry, Fred and George are the only ones bonded and enterprising enough to search for the sanctuary outside Earth, opening a joke shop and finishing their education. If that last part puts them somehow onto a path that crosses with Ethan it will be cute. I would plan for more OC-filled circle with less Earth-Wizard connections, since I really don't like Harry/Theo at the moment plus he has too much of that 'high-power high-society' thing going for him. Bahn is crafty and I sometimes don't want Harry anywhere near court troubles and intrigue. Also, it would be funny if the whole circle found their ways to Harry because of the bakery and/or joke shop picquing their interest. Yes, this would be absolutely a Coffee Shop-AU.

Devrim (from Soul's Scream by Cheyla, I think; I love the character) brought in by his sensitive nose when he smelled the baked goods and ending up falling in love with Weasley Twins' version of Blood Pops?

Brishen or Inanna brought in by the smell of cinammon rolls? Inanna might end up sending her bondmates for her treats and then Prewitt Clan learns there are their never-met nephews in Neverah.

Ethan searching for a place to "people watch" in between research?

Many possibilities.

Idea 2 Harry's Circle being business-minded

This one is a bit of extension on Idea 1, but it would basically boil down to the fact that Harry and his Circle own a Nevarah-appropriate version of a shopping mall or at least several buildings that share a courtyard and hold both their shops and maybe some sort of liing quarter situation. Depending on who is in the circle they could have that cafe/bakery, Twins' joke shop, book shop, pet shop (pigmy puffs, anyone?), jeweller's, game arcade and so on. I imagine they would end up having emplpoyees, but I have this scene in my mind where Harry simply likes the anonymity of being "just Harry" that he gained in Neverah and he is acting as manager of the bakery as he likes the "human contact" or maybe he had to step in for an ill employee. Anyway a someone from Earth came around and was like "WTF is BWL doing selling muffins?!" but also <supreme panic> because Harry in his twenties or thirties is still cute cinammon roll of a powerhouse and some people (*akhem* Theo *akhem*) lost their chance with him, since he already has an Alpha.

Idea 3 Harry with a different Alpha

Yes, this isn't exactly a 'full idea' and maybe I shouldn't exactly be so against Harry/Theo but at the moment - I am. I would be glad if Harry had a different Alpha, be they an Earth-born Wix/turned Dragel or someone from off-realm.

That being said the main part of this idea would be that Harry in fact turns Theo down, hopefully not making an enemy ouf ot the situation. My initial idea was that Harry had already inherited for some time (and maybe is in better situation information or seals -wise) when he is in a stressful enough situation that there is a soul scream. It could be that Harry's Alpha has those pesky protections to not be instantly summoned by a soul scream (we could go with an ACE, Healer or Mage that have Alpha-potential that would make them perfectly suitable for Harry's circumstances and needs, just if they are a Guard of some sort and need those protections to not be summoned?). If I were writing the scene out - Harry's Scream would pull a number of bondmates, their alpha-potential with a more significant delay as they are seeing to their duties (and they were critical enough to delay the pull). The "reject Theo" situation might come from the fact that he was physically close enough on hand in the situation that happened, to make it seem for him natural that he would be 'ported' to that place, meanwhile he did feel the soul magic's pull - but not a 'he is your soul bond' pull but rather 'a submissive is in danger, protectprotectprotect' pull that affected him more strongly simply because Harry is powerful, young, terrified, riding on instinct and attempting to pull in HIS Alpha that is basically pinging "in just a moment, or things will blow up on me here".

I wuld find it funny if Theo wasn't even recognized as a potential Beta/Rheyo/Advisor at that moment. Especially if Harry wasn't so oblivious and Theo's inactions and actions during their school years seemed telling to Harry to whom Theo would cater more (Malfoy and his social circle, obviously).

Ideas 4 and 5 are a bit of extension that formed when writing out idea 3 - those sporuted from the mentioned concept of early inheritance coming into play and soul scream being a thing only some time later - hopefully making Harry more situation-aware after he comes down from instinctual drive. Things rarely go as predicted and those two got modified as I was writing them here... That's a usual thing to happen, really, so idea 6 also came about out of it.

Idea 4 Basilisk's contibution and Dementor's scare

It is actually in use somewhere, I know, because I read it fics - but still I would like to have Harry with a different Circle and not-Theo as Alpha.

Harry's inheritance might come into play sometime during summer because of basilisk venom being part-substance and part-magic - so corrosive magical influence over Seals and Horcrux's Anchor in Harry could be good. Phoenix Tears for some awakening of his 'fiery' potential from his mom...

It would be a fun spin on things if we got a Red-Haired Harry whose true features were either glamoured by Dumbledore (because Harry looking just-like-James was a useful tool and it wouldn't do for the brat to resemble Lilly in Snape's eyes?) or maybe Sirius is his blood-adopted parent, Dorea Black his grandma so there is enough Black blood and 'refreshed' magic in him to be a Metamorphmagus 'locked' into not turning his looks (courtesy of Dumbledore or maybe it was a part of the small block on his accidental magic introduced as Harry begun learning to walk and several times had nasty falls when suddenly changing his body's height and gravity center? They might have planned to take it off in another 2-3 months once he got much better with that?). Him being locked into a look more resembling James might be a result of James having bargained with Lilly? They might have also only ever had Harry 'locked' into the look more resembling James when having visitors and outside Sirius no one really knows that Harry is metamorph.

Dementor on the train (or the one on the Quidditch game, or the one later on after the whole Shrieking Shack situation) might end up ripping away the Horcrux. I think an aborted soul scream would be fitting for such a fright but would be a bit too public in two out of three circumstances. I would think that Harry takes his belongings and leaves for another realm as soon as possible.

Idea 5 Dumbledore is Dumb and sometimes loves dramatics too much

Harry's seals unravel and his inheritance might come out of shock a bit too early than natural. Why do they unravel? Dumbledore dies in 2nd year in a most stupid way possible. Maybe he gave Fawkes a poorly-worder order that had loopholes and was up for interpretation? Anyway - Fawkes flashes into the Chamber of Secrets with that that will be most helpful to protect Harry. That he lands Dumbles just in the eyesight of the basilisk basically killing Dumbledore in that move? Well, Dumbles was one of the biggest threats to Harry's safety.

Maybe with Dumbledore's death magical syphon stops working (no recipient) and the seal starts to crumble. Harry's magic isn't so limited so it expands in some ways furthering the crumbling of seals. I know that seals are usually presented as very much solid type of constraint but if we wanted to again use the whole 'corrosive magical effect of basilisk venom' thing or otherwise claim that Harry's core was large, very large and only growing as he grew since it had to produce enough magic to keep him alive with the abuse he went through. Maybe Harry gains his inheritance before his 3rd year, maybe not. I don't know yet.

My extended version of this idea was that Dobby might not end up rescued, Ginny might be dead in fact (one pest less on our minds, but Ron could break off the friendship?), hopefully the Diary still is destroyed by the basilisk venom, so Voldi's come back is delayed. But what is truly more interesting would be smushing together several canon and not-canon things. Because if Dumbles is dead and Ginny is dead, so maybe "people" want to know that some things won't be hidden from them. maybe oversight is needed and obviously teachers who worked there so far wouldn't do, they didn't solve things with the basilisk and so they need to be inspected. Welcome Umbridge as Headmistress for school year 1993/94.

Alternatively Umbridge could come as High Inquisitor and Board of Governors managed to not put her into Headteacher's position, but rather someone more palatable from Neutral/Grey faction affiliation. Or maybe the Dark faction (Death Eater as a Headmaster? Or Death Eater's wife as Headmistress? It could be interesting). If we went making changes all the way, Snape would quickly leave the teaching post (maybe agreeing to still make infirmary potions and to be a head of Slytherin... oh, wait it isn't this world... so maybe he stayed after all), an auror from DMLE on extended health-related leave came as a DADA teacher [maybe we have a female auror with a toddler/young child that wants to have the predetermined schedule and a bit less high-stakes situations on her hands for the next year or so?] and maybe after all they manage to get rid of Binns so Lupin comes in as one of the few students that had near-perfect score in Histoy NEWT in the past 3 decades?

If Harry comes into his inheritance before school year starts, I would put into the story Goblins being BAMF and more open to helping a recently-non-wix child who is an owenr of a fortune in their bank (paying customer is a paying customer), also with Dumbledore's death and if no one manages to sneak paperwork in - Harry could gain emancipation on some clause of being 13, Last of The Line and having hisotry of unreliable government-appointed guardian. Between gaining himself a lawyer (to sue pants of anyone who made deals with Dumbles for things BWL-related and from Dumbles' estate's recipients... and Dursleys, they can have a criminal case on their hands problem especially if it was either that or/and Healer's Rights called for by a Goblin Healer), accountant (because Goblins know what they do), lodgings with a reliable adult (aka staying in Guest House somewhere on Horizon Alley or any other of those up-scale side alleys in the district; considering that his family estate still requires him to be with an adult guarding and him being 14 or for him to be 17).

The second thing I would add would be that maybe RoR after all has some close-to-time-chamber functions for his resting periods allowing for him to hide that simple fact. Although it is a bit of a big cheat so maybe it wouldn't do after all.

Alternatively I would have Harry find the inner chamber of Chamber of Secrets and maybe find there a secure "nest" area and some interesting information. Even if it was as simple as proper explanation about ingredient preparation, parselmagic or what really happened in Founder's times and where to find their portraits.

My take on near-death-situation-of-choice would be something with dementors (because Sirius still escaped?) but more like Harry would be in distress over younger students being attacked (parental insticts awakening towards younger years) unless a spin would be put onto the post-shrieking shack scene... Horcux could be ripped away, even if that resulted in a aborted soul scream (again) and only pulling Fred, George and maybe Charles or Bill (and no, I don't feel like inviting Theo to the party. In fact it could be largely fire-and-air circle with some shadow or storm mixed in), breaking twins' seals, Charles helps out with patronus and basically if it is a Charles and Bill who got mentors and training, possibly having been to Nevarah in the past - they could move away easily enough deciding that they don't know what the Ministry might do, moving away on Earth might result only in being found (by whatever party is interested in Boy-Who-Lived) so off-realm it is, maybe at least until they can figure out something more long-term. Alternatively - two Earth-years off-realm doesn't sound so bad if boys would be 8 years older and could change their official identities into something more palatable for themselves.

It would be a bit of a bad move towards Percy, Ron, Arthur and Molly, but Percy could be approached about seals after graduating (and in my mind he fits to learn to be a pareya with rheyo/advisor aspirations). Ron isn't exactly on the "good list" of the younger three after the past year of picking up fights and so on.

Idea 6 Because sometimes Magic is Heavy

This idea originally wasn't entirely about Harry (more like I thought about my OC coming into their own in simmilar circumstances) but as I was writing Idea 4 it came to mind so I am mentioning it still.

Background worldbuilding is that Lady Magic willing those Houses or Clans of Magicals that gain her favor to be Named (aka their generations under a singular name, even if it wasn't necessarily a surname, accumulated to a dozen or more - Fate and Dath also willing) have a thing that could be named "Magical Well" as in accumulated magic of the family? It builds up weirdly, think like building up a favor with Mother Magic or otherwise. In part it holds Family-specific Magic, in part connects all that joined that specific House/Clan through blood, marriage or other bond. It has its perks - like possibility to hold also a sort of 'generational knowledge' [which isn't exactly often used simply because if multiple generations contributed to it and the intake of knowledge was required then without suitable training in Mind Arts would be necessary for everyone who might be connected that way, hence why Grimoires, as difficult to make as they were, as well as multitude of personal journals were much more preferable, it also allowed Heads of the House/Family/Clan to have some sort of control over what who can learn] or for Head of the House - if they are in a 'central' part of the net - to have natural way to check on anyone's wellbeing, location or outright sent them messages or summons. It can't be all good, especially as after generations the Well gains much and becomes "heavy" to a degree that requires many to be bonded in the net (as in all bloodline members, all those further connected by blood, magic or bond) as to share the burden.
I am thinking on my feet here, but it could be that if the burden is particularly heavy it was deemed 'better' to have simpler connection to the Well, even as a Head of the House. Over decades some preferred to not carry that weight (laziness is an issue, to be able to carry the weight of the Well, one needs to be of good physical health and mental state) and it basically 'fell out of use' sometimes imply because some Lords felt too proud to actually share with their own heirs/families that they weren't doing things as properly as would be more beneficial and proper. Others might not have been able to carry the weight if their health didn't allow it, there weren't enough people to share the burden with or otherwise circumstances made it a better choice.

The actual idea adapted to Harry is that his seals block him from his parents' family magic between Peverell and Evanson, as well as additional Wixen and Torvak (Dumbledore's contribution) seals and bonds. BUT the thing that isn't necessarily blocked apart from his metamorph ability (maybe, maybe not) would be Well of House Black Magix.

Until whatever canon/non-canon date Arcturus Black and a dozen or so others are in fact main 'holders' of it. Arcturus' health isn't what it used to be, between depression after his wife's death and some other health problems he wasn't exactly that well suited to carry this burden, but Walburga died at some point (I think 1986 or so), so it was him and several others that carried the weight. When he dies, I think the main connection basically "searches for the most suitable anchor. Yes, I put there a sense of semi-sentience and intent behind the Well, but it could be that for Ancient and Most Ancient House it isn't entirely unknown thing. Blacks were numerous, the Well is vast, so its' capabilities are also a bit more unusual. There are several criteria for the proper anchor, in big part their capability of being the Head of the House. Since many of the remaining connections in the net were women (and Blacks are patriarchal), those who are connected 'by marriage' aren't seen as suitable (so Lucius, Ted Tonks or Rodolphus Lestrange to name but a few in direct connection) wouldn't be seen as preferable choices. Reggie is either dead or whatever Jun did to make him half-Torvak (is it even main canon or simply often reproduced fanon? I don't know) damaged his connection to the Well, Sirius isn't in any sort of good health and even earlier he tended towards more manic/berserk mindset. Through Sirius and Dorea there is connection to Harry and yes, he is burdened with seals but for Black Magix it isn't exactly an issue, they used to reclaim what was theirs and the child was 'theirs' since the blood adoption by Sirius.

So yes, the idea would be that after Arcuturs' death Harry is weighted upon/filled out with Black Family Magic in a spectacular fashion. Between seals being erroded and Harry being burdened with the 'generational knowledge' that Blacks actually did put together Harry will regain some freedom. My theory is that it could have contributed to the "madness" thing - that between keeping strong connection to a vast Well of Magix, one that tries to be 'helpful' with making promt-like bursts of knowledge sent to the one connected and some sort of dark fay or dragel or something decidedly non-wix heritage they weren't as stable as many would prefer - it is but a more violent and explosive version of Lovegoods if you want to put it that way.

If he ends up with seals erroding, maybe those Peverell and Evanson ones could also be affected or at least some of the other ones and enough so to have /main 'point' of the idea/ Harry come into his non-wix being/form/inheritance to not really be a 'being with magic' but rather 'being of magic' and for his physical body to be somewhat remade/repaired enough to carry the burden of being the sole Anchor for large parts of Wells of Magic.

For this last part (the plural Wells) make more sense Aldor might have bonded on Earth with an actual daughter of Ancient and Noble House Potter and Olde and Noble House Fleamont or possibly Aldor came to Earth with one more generation between him and Harry. So not Aldor -> Charlus -> James -> Harry, but rather Aldor -> <sole daughter Isolde Peverell> -> Charlus -> James -> Harry? Something like that.  Isolde Peverell could have married a Fleamont Potter and the surname by magic became Peverell-Potter/Potter-Peverell?

What happens further I have no idea. Harry would best learn his duties and such. Also, maybe make use of his position as the de-facto Heir-Lord Black to straighten out his relationship with Draco. It would be interesting if he was meeting others of Black blood and bond to Black name and in the process met Cedrella Black-Weasley and Septimus Weasley... who might or might not 'snif out' that Harry is an inherited dragel? I can see a fight on their hands, one that ended because wards of Blackmoor Manor don't take well to murder attempts? OR it could be simply Dobby being his awesome self.

Idea 7 it would be named something like "Blacks Cleanse to pure white... ahem pure Black, always"

In simplest words: Pre-5th year or during Yule break in 5th year Harry is in Black Townhouse at Grimmauld Place. He touches something. He NEEDS a ritual cleansing even after being healed. Since they are already on place Sirius decides that the ritual room in the basement will have to be good enough. Between Sirius, Bill (Black blood by his grandmother, but also very strong magic, precision and skill as curse breaker), Andy (who was brought in as a Healer by a paniced Dora and became the force of nature) and Dora (who didn't know how to help but another woman of Black blood was needed; alternatively: Cedrella Black-Weasley?) the more 'all-encompassing' cleansing is performed, maybe also some additional healing. The thing is... toujours pur can have more extensive meaning (I like it being about being of Pure Magic, Pure Heart, Pure Faith in Lady Magic) and the Black family's ritual being used result in weakened or 'countered' seals (at least countered as far as magical syphon goes?).

It directly results in Harry having a certain leeway in being able to actually present as Dragel or have a proper soulscream. It can lead to other things, easily.

Idea 8 that was initially part of idea 7, but sometimes separting things out is needed | aka "Portraits see all, hear all, tell... not all, but maybe to some"

Yule break of 5th year. Weasleys went to St. Mungo's, but Harry stays in the townhouse. Hermione might have needed to go out for the day to actually meet her parents (or was she spending the whole break with them in canon? I can't remember). Sirius is wallowing... somewhere. Harry goes exploring and...

Here was the whole "touches artifact and needs cleansing" thing ;P BUT in this version - Harry is searching either for something interesting or manybe an idea what to do during DA meeting next. And yes, maybe Library would be more obvious resource but Harry needs to move around and not be cooped up in one place. So he goes searching and finds a room. More exactly - a blood-warded office that belonged to Orion when he was the Lord. Yes, there are books, maybe personal journals, Black Grimoire (no idea why it wouldn't be removed to the vault or to Arcturus after Orion's death) and maybe a portrait or two. Between those resources I would think that Harry in fact finds interesting spells that might not be good for DA but for Harry to use in a pinch? Yeah, he will learn them (*it might change things if the action takes them to the whole DoM escapade similarly to canon). Grimoire might 'surprisingly' not kill Harry (much to the shock of the portrait) and there... There could be some interesting things to learn. Especially if there were either positive or negative things written about coming into Dragel inheritance (could be a ritual that Walburga used to Seal Sirius' and Regulus' forms for example).

Main point of the idea is that Harry gains information, yes. He also might find out he is a it more open to being vicious/bloodthirsty (in some aspects) than he realised previously.

If there was specific portrait in the room then I think it would be one of Sirius II and his wife (Arcturus' father, so it would make sense for Orion to have it in his office, while Arcturus was alive still) or maybe of Orion (and with raher specific protections against Walburga and other unwanted guests). There could easily be a "if you can open safely open Black Grimoire why we didn't see you earlier... and where are your manners, young man?" kind of talk. Harry could learn that there is more he didn't know and still doesn't know.

Information-giving cheat of the day would be a knowledge-transferring crystal. I saw it once in a fic. From what I understood the crystal could be "loaded" with books that held knowledge (or maybe they were supposed to be loaded with memories of someone who actually read and comprehended the book?) and then one had to somehow have them nearby while sleeping + something to activate things + skill in mind arts to not get overloaded, so the knowledge transfer would work out during the night. Blacks are wealthy enough to have those, even if it isn't preferred form of learning manners and Heir's duties, I think.

That knowledge + loss of Sirius and no one telling him about will reading (he might have been alerted to it anyway by Luna for example?) might result in Harry rebelling and doing things to get out of Dumbledore's influence. Going to Cassiopeia Black to the Vineyard in France or Italy sounds like a good escape. From there maybe Switzerland for healing in a private and secure facility before either travelling further - I would say Japan for something specific, but I fear that Tengu and Torvak seem to be a bit too close in my mind, so maybe not so safe a place?. Possibly Bulgaria to Victor and from there... Magical Persia or India (Potters having Indian descent + Parselmagic being available there). And yes, that sort of 'travel through world' has little to do with Dragels, getting rid of the connection to Voldi or otherwise, but I think it could be still a bit of a 'cat and mouse' game with Dumbledore's people. If Harry finds out the scale of operation of Torvaks... maybe having been temporarily kidnapped (but not very well secured) and escapig in style while burning the whole warehouse down having morphed into full dragon form? He could have learned about Nevarah from Aldor Peverell's journals or his, his bonded's or his children's portraits. If he knew that Torvaks were enemies of dragels Harry might just as well still have enough saving people thing and instinct to send information or reach out for sanctuary and give information.

...yes, that was basically idea 9 (or 8B)

Idea 10 (or 9, but counting is difficult) "Pressed to break" or otherwise named

It was also a part of idea 7 and a somewhat more encomapssing part of it, I think. In some ways there are fics that use this idea, so it's not exactly an innovative take on those.

The main thing is - Harry is under much pressure, he is angry (mostly from Voldi), people pick on him (with mixed results, but still, not many are happy with him after TriWix Tournament and the smear campaign in Prophet), he is also rather stressed between waining friendships, Hermione building pressure about learning for OWLs and him leading DA, there are also detentions with Umbridge and Occlumency with Snape. He is thin spread, not in good health (maybe he doesn't eat well, maybe the blood seal is affecting him and his magic much more considering he didn't come to Hogwarts in good health to begin with), he might also feel all the more alone with how weak is friendship of Ron and sometimes even Hermione.

As it was part of idea 7 - some version of seals being weakened was supposed to take place. I would say enough so to have his empathy [I know, not very logical, but it would put an interesting spin to the story] to start picking up even if physical inheritance didn't take place, so he basically starts more like getting whispers of others' emotions. He doesn't have any idea who to go to (unless he knows that Black Grimoire or Orion's grandfather would be helpful but clearly they aren't on hand), school library isn't helpful without proper card catalogue or book-searching spell.

If Harry isn't physically inherited then it makes little sense to actually be able to do it... that's a bit of a big issue in the whole idea, but - what if Harry could escape to RoR on his own and basically had more of a "mournful cry" that was powered in part through soul magic and in part through empathy. He basicaly 'blazed' a beacon on another plane of existence to bring over someone to make him less lonely? Not a soul scream, because it is less distress or danger-fuelled. More like Harry finally figured out how to block Voldi (RoR or Library finally provided him with good starter books on Mind Arts or maybe Fred and George had a book from Lee as they were doing meditations to get connected to their Animagi forms and their sealed pareya insinct made them slightly more aware of who might need their help among those who they might consider helping?) and the continued barrage of anger and pain from Voldi (his body wasn't remade correctly, soul pain is also a thing, so pain and anger it is to power through each day and maybe reach his goals... kind of like Vader actually) got cut off.

I would like Harry's beacon to be answered by a Mage (simply based on the idea that they needed to be strong enough to actually notice the beacon and maybe most of the other ranks wouldn't exactly feel it properly not to mention having ability to follow the connection) or maybe Pareya (or a mix of both - Mage with pareyic tendencies?) they could know enough to sense Torvak magic coating many places in Hogwarts + recognize seals on Harry (easy enough of a starting point if his wound reopened and he was slowly bleeding, having went to RoR asking for safe place after latest detention*, that would require explanation and medical diagnostics). If he actually summoned also Weasley twins (but didn't portal them, more like they sneaked out to RoR on their own instinctually lead there) it could be better start for a cuddle pile and making sure that Harry doesn't hide/downplay too much in his explanations.

*possibly as Luna suggested would be for the best

Origianlly the idea included also:

- British Sheeple being left to their own devices. Harry goes to Nevarah and apart from several true friends (Neville, Luna, maybe Hermione) who left in their own time, never looked back.

- Personally, I would include Harry being somewhat disillusioned to his relationship with Sirius and Remus or rather - the distinct lack thereof and their lacking initiative or any sort of action. It might not even be Molly or Dumbledore running interference, but more like Sirius being 'too much in his head' (yes, Mind Healer would be of use) while in his childhood house and with isolation of a different kind there. Remus is too much of a coward and Dumbledore's yes-man feeling oh so terribly greatful for attending school and so on. Remus might be often out on one mission or another. I think Harry gave them last one chance to stand with him and follow with him to Neverah, but they didn't. Both men end up staying on Earth and Harry isn't very eager to have any more attempts at having blood relatives or heart-family that would choose him as "just Harry". Harry is hurt and veers dangerously into the 'so the problem is me, no one wants Harry' thiking. Except Fred, George and their pareyic-Mage were able to stop him right there, since they did like 'just Harry' for himself.

I think several hunts would be started and Dumbledore's plans would unravel earlier. Also it would be easier if Nevarah was outside the Hunt's period (maybe like 2-3 years after the last one? however the calendar might work things out) so Harry in fact has some time period to learn and settle into the other society and for hunts to be planned and performed and so on.

Off they go off-realm. My angst-loving heart could be open to the idea of Fred and George not really finding any sort of real connection or understanding among Weasleys. Charlie being almost the closest simply on the grounds of him actually spending time with them at several different points in their youth (the overlapping of Twins' and Charlies' school years was useful for that). Bill being close enough simply on the grounds of actually making effort to know them as individuals and being capable of recognizing who is who (Charlie might also know, but with slightly less accuracy or maybe officially with slightly less accuracy as that is also a joke between them as Charlie makes a third layer of the joke to sometimes recognize them and sometimes mistake them?).
