The way home
Harrys' words were haunting you as you tried to get as far as possible from him. You couldn’t believe that he actually said it to your face. He knew that you were against everything your parents did in the past. You trusted Harry so much that you confided to him the truth about your parents. But you guess that it was a mistake. You tried to take a deep breath and just calm down, but you still saw your parents' faces in your mind, and you couldn't stop thinking about the horrible acts they did. And now, if it is true that Voldemort is coming back, they would return to their old ways. And because everyone knew, that Volkovs were the most faithful Voldemorts servants, almost like his dogs, your parents would probably force you to serve him too. But you couldn't. You despised him and his actions. But if he took liking in you, as he did with your father, you would be powerless and would become a Deatheater. You couldn’t feel your hands, or your legs, your vision starting to darken as you stumbled, heaving for breath. You would pass out any minute if it weren't for the pale muscular hands that caught you.
“Y/n? What's wrong?“
He was looking at you, completely concerned for you. He had furrowed brows as he was still holding you close. The touch of his cold hands made you immediately liven up, remembering where you were and what was happening.
“Dont touch me.“ You said cooly, stepping away from him. Any glimpse of concern disappeared from his eyes.
“Oh yeah, sorry that I caught you before you fell on your head. That was so mean from me! Next time I won't even glance in your way.“ He hissed at you, completely changing his attitude. “And where are your amazing friends? Did they leave you because of your family?“ he smirked because he knew that talking about your family always got you going mad.
“Can you just leave me alone? I don’t have the time to talk with preschoolers. So get away from me. And where are your wonderful friends? Probably antagonizing some first years. Why don't you join
them?“ you replied spitefully.
Draco started to move closer and closer, which made you instictially move away from him. He took that as if you were scared of him, and his mouth began to twitch into a grin.
“Because it’s so much more fun antagonizing you, love.“ Now you were pressed against a wall, and he was towering there over you, planting his hands on the sides of your head. “Don't you think so? Anyway, I just wanted to say, that if some of your friends, especially Potter, get into my way this year, I won't hold back.“ He breathed the end out to your ear.
“Is that a threat? Wow, I am actually so scared Draco! Don’t worry, you won’t even see us!“ you replied, your face unchanging. You were so fed up with him. And why was he so close to you? “And now go to your friends, I don’t have time for whatever this is.“ With that you went away from him, bumping into his shoulder, hard. As you were going away, you could feel that he was burning his eyes into your back. Sometimes you missed the old times when you were best friends with Draco, unseparated by anything. You would spend weeks at Malfoy Manor, doing whatever you wanted, chasing each other in the long dark halls, sharing food, secrets, and one time a kiss. But that was ages ago. And you could never go back. Now what is left from these days are just memories and a huge scar across your back. When you looked back, there was someone else. Mione was rushing to you, Ron behind her.
“Y/n! We’ve been looking all around for you! We are so so sorry, we don’t know what was Harry on about!“ Hermione cried out to you, taking your hands gently. You just hugged her, not wanting to talk, because otherwise, you would start to cry.
“Don't apologize, it isn't your fault at all.“ You replied softly. Ron hesitantly joined your hug too, unsure if he should say something too.
“Let’s go back. Harry went somewhere. Probably to squirel with Malfoy. He’s like obsessed with him, it's insane.“
With that you returned back, already feeling much better, as you thought you would pass out from laughing so much. On the way back, you purchased more treats and met some of your classmates. You finally sat down and kicked down your Mary Janes on the ground. You scratched your cat that stayed laying there from the moment you firstly sat down, not moving an inch. You continued to fill yourselves with the newly purchased treats, trading some and judging them. You loved your friends and were so overjoyed that you were finally with them, on the way to your most favorite place in the world, Hogwarts. With that, you started blabbing on your summer, telling them every detail. Most of the time you stayed at the Volkov Manor, reading books, but you went on vacation in Greece, and you went on many pureblood house events, even though you hated them, as you had no one to talk to there. Ron and Hermione listened to every detail, sometimes adding a funny comment, and laughing at some moments. You were so glad that you were friends, even though your family backgrounds differences.
“Do you think that Harry is mad at me? Or like what's his problem?“ you asked with frustration.
“I have no idea what is up with him. He seemed strange even at the World Cup. But his reaction was unnecessary and uncalled for. he should really calm down. Like what was that? But it wasn't your fault at all, okay? So don't even think about him.“ Responded Hermione.
“Yeah, Harry is just weird right now. And you have us!“ Ron smiled brightly at you.
“Thanks, guys. You are right.“ With that, you reached into your bag and took out your blue tie. “I just hope that this year is going to be okay and that we won’t get in any trouble like I’ve had enough.“ You finished with tying your tie.
“Calm year for four of us? I don’t really think so.“ Harry popped his head inside, laughing. With his comment, all of you laughed. Harry sat down next to you and apologizely smiled at you. “I am so sorry y/n. That was horrible from me.“ He touched your arm lightly and took out the chocolate frog out of his pocket for you.
You smiled sunnily at him. “Apology accepted.“ With that, your quartet was finally back. You spend the majority of the way laughing, gossiping, and talking about everything. You enjoyed it every year with them. You instantly bonded when Harry asked you in the first year if he could sit with you. And then Ron came and cast the lamest spells he could, trying to show off. And then Hermione came too and sat with you. Even when you got sorted into Ravenclaw, that didn't break your friendship.
“We’re gonna be there in a few minutes. I am so excited!“ you said happily.
“Yeah me too, but I hope Malfoy won't be always in our asses.“ Ron replied.
“Ugh, you tell me.“ You snorted.
With that, the train stopped. You were finally here. At your home. Hogwarts.
