Beginning partway through chapter 11 of "ten days late", the different ending I promised but couldn't follow through on in the original.Percy Weasley takes Cedric Diggory's place in the Triwizard Tournament, and his end doesn't turn out much different.

Fair warning, I did tear up while writing this, but I am also deeply attached to Audrey which is why Percy didn't die originally. This is the Percy death angst that was originally planned for "ten days late". It starts mid-way through chapter 11, and replaces the original ending. You're welcome to not read "ten days late", all you need to know is that Percy is a year younger and does the tournament with Harry instead of Cedric.
