It’s All Coming Back To Me
Summary
Draco hated Hogwarts. It was worthless. He didn’t need it. He didn’t need them. But he needed her—Astoria Greengrass.

draco hated hogwarts, it was worthless
he didn’t need it, he didn’t need them
but he needed her, Astoria Greengrass. She was Daphne Greengrass’s younger sister who Draco had started hanging out with in the recent weeks leading up to his graduation

He was finally getting out of this place, At least he was going to get out after he fake smiled and shook hands with people he knew wanted him dead. Lucius and Narcissa were seated in the back row but next to them was his lovely girlfriend, Astoria.

She was his sunflower, blooming in the sunshine- she was also his sunshine
he made him feel happiness when the world was dark and everyone believed he was a horrible, cruel, death deserving man

She saw a side of him that was innocent, loving and going boy who was forced onto a side, he didn’t get a choice, he wasn’t ever given a choice his whole life

As he gathered all the courage in his body or as much as he could in the few seconds he had before his name was called and he started his walk across the stage, all wanting to graduate student must cross.

It was embarrassing and he didn’t want to look at any of their pathetic faces, as they gave him a mix of disgusted and angry some look as though they would jump upon the stage and strangle him right there.

He glanced to his parents, his mother seemed genuinely proud of as proud as she could be around his father, he was blank faced, nothing

Then he saw Astoria, he smiled at him, a nice “i’m proud of you and i love you” smile. She slightly turned and reached her hand over to Narcissa who was now staring at him, with her generous smile

he exited the stage and quickly passed the crowd of his now former classmates, he didn’t care about them anymore

He was making his way to the back row, to her. His face lit up when she finally came into his eye line. Astoria stood up and ran towards him “you did it draco, it’s over.”

Draco didn’t respond he just wrapped his arm around her waist and they made their way over to his parents.

“Mother, Father” he addressed like government officials and not his own parents. Astoria moved closer into Draco’s side, as if she was scared of his parents, if they would rip them apart.

“It was a lovely ceremony, let’s try to get out of here now before the crowd rushes” his mother quickly stated, she couldn’t care less that her own son had graduated.

Draco tried to hide the hurt as they made their way to the doors. Astoria was asking him all these questions for when she would graduate in two years. “Is it as scary as Daphne used to make it seem?” was a recurring question she asked him whenever the topic of hogwarts graduation was brought up around him. “It’s not bad at all, you’ll do amazing” he replied, adding “and you’ll look gorgeous”

She leaned her head against his shoulder when they came to a sudden stop just outside the ceremony hall.
