The Dark presence of the orphanage crept upon him. A slight dripping of water came from the roof, It’s been ages since that Leak first broke out.
Tom Sat In his room with narrowed eyes, His breath Uneven as he stared at the picture infront of him with hatred.
A peculiar child In their ‘beloved’ orphanage had caught his attention lately, And Tom knew something was up.
None of This was right, because It wasn’t hatred he felt, but not a sense of Longing or possessiveness either.
It was As If there were a hole in his heart where a corresponding feeling should be, and he knew Just who was to blame.
Fate loved to play tricks on him Like this, she’d taken his Life and Put Him here, trapping him in a filthy dirty orphanage, And Now she had taken this…this boy from him, Harry What he would have felt for him.
But Tom wouldn’t budge, no he would take what was his and he would prove fate wrong.
He would find a way to love him somehow.
~~~~~~
The Sound of playing and laughter emerged as Tom Stepped out of the building. Some children were running past playing with a ball, the atmosphere was disgusting.
But he needed to be here, around these low-lives. Because this was where they all were. Where Harry was.
Tom’s Step’s Let out a sound as he walked on the rubble and concrete up to the three, small rocks crunching as they were being stepped on. He lifted his head, revealing his black locks and blue eyes to the sun for it to shine upon.
Finally, he spotted him. Harry, this new obsession, no. Feeling, was Reading under the tall three that had been here by their orphanage ever since tom could remember.
He looked up, taking in the appearance of the three. It’s brown slightly orange ish, rough form with little marks on it. The ‘J + F’ carved Into it along with a heart, Who knew who that could be.
Tom had never understood why people took the time to carve their ferocious names into things. But he assumed he would have to try and relate and sympathize with their need to waste their time.
Finally, He stepped up to Harry.
“Harry,” his voice whispered out, It was small and Futile, nothing like how he imagined himself. But he was, after all, a seven year old.
The boy, Looking a little younger then Tom, looked up. His Black messy hair being thrown into the air by the motion and landing on his olive skin again.
He seemed very innocent, But Tom didn’t seem to notice his beauty as anything more than a pleasing to the eye.
“Yes?…” he asked, his slightly british and hesitant voice coming through, It didn’t seem people talked to him often by his reluctant nature.
Tom Stepped closer, his confidence faltering. “I..I wanted to ask If I could read with you…” Though His Nervousness was an Obvious attempt to make himself seem more approachable, It was clear tom did not want to acknowledge that some part of It was Sincere.
The boy looked up again, “Uh…Oh Uhm, sure…” not seeming against the idea, But also not having Awaited such a request, It was clear that the Raven haired boy was Surprised.
Pleased with such a reply, Tom sat Down next to him. Perhaps sitting a Bit closer then necessary, because the other seemed to blush In a Surprised and Flustered manner, taking Notice. Tom, did not.
Tom turned his head towards him, when he did so - He had the shock of his Life.
Green, Shining magnificent eyes that glowed in an Unnatural way stared back at Tom’s shocked eyes. Radiating such a powerful Magic.
And That’s when he felt it.
A little something etch In his chest, maybe It was Just his Imagination but…he felt something move.
A feeling of Joy and Adoration filled him, a feeling of a need to protect, and a dusty to stay with.
Maybe…Maybe It could be, That Tom had Grown, a tiny little heart?
“I’m…Harry.” Harry said after a moment, smiling.
“I- I like your eyes…” Tom said. “And your- glasses-“ he quickly added.
Harry smiled a warm smile at that. “Ah, thanks Mate!”
“I’m…Tom.” Tom said, gaze mostly cold but a little bit of flusteredness still remaining.
“That’s a Nice name!” Harry complimented. Happily. “It’s Good to meet you Tom, Wanna be friends?”
“…Yeah, Sure.” The Boy said.
Maybe Indeed he had defied fate once and for all.
