"Why can't you just let it go"- Jamione
Hermione had been packing her bags, not wanting to deal with the boy Infront of her. She had been avoiding him for weeks now, but it seemed he didn't take the hint. It was annoying and frustrating. She didn't need this, especially not from him.
"Why can't you just let it go?"
Hermione froze mid packing, turning to look at the boy in question "excuse me?" she asked, stopping what she was doing, placing her hands on her hips as she stared him down.
"Why can't you just let it go." James Potter repeated, watching her quietly as he fidgeted with the golden snitch in his hand. "Don't you think you've been holding a grudge long enough?" he asked
"No Potter, I don't" she snapped.
"When will you stop holding this grudge against me. We were kids Hermione; I didn't know any better"
"We were 11 James; you knew what was right and what was wrong. Yet you still decided to bully me, to bully Sev, and not just for one year, but five. Five years James, and that's just me, you and your goons still bully Sev." she snapped at him, returning to packing her bag.
"I've changed" James insisted " I won't bother Snape again, I promise, just please forgive me. Give me a chance to prove it."
Hermione laughed bitterly "You know what James, I'll give you a chance"
"Really?" he asked tentatively.
"Yes, really." she replied looking him straight in the eyes "If you can prove to me that you have changed, I will give you a chance." she placed the bag on her shoulder "Let's revisit this at a later date."
"When?" James asked eagerly.
"5 years from now" she replied, before turning on her heel and storming away, leaving James looking slightly put out.
But if five years is what it took, he would prove it to her. He had to, after all, Hermione Granger was special.
