Chapter 5
Regulus stood in his room, he was wearing a black suit that his mum had got him just for this day. It’s been staying in Regulus’ closet for years, waiting for this day.
“He is here.” Walburga said from behind the door. Regulus took a long breath before walking to the hall.
There he was. Voldemort was standing in the middle of the hall, all death eaters around him. He looked straight into Regulus’ eyes, with a grin on his face. Regulus walked in front of Voldemort.
“My boy, on your knees” He said with a cold voice. Regulus did what he was told to, he was too scared to do otherwise.
He didn’t want to look at Voldemort, so he just stared at the floor, offering his wrist to Voldemort. He saw a light coming from a wand. Everything felt like a nightmare as he felt Voldemort's cold fingers around his wrist. Then a sharp pain took over his body, first it felt like someone was stabbing his wrist until the pain was all around him. Regulus bit his lip until it was bleeding, trying not to scream from the pain.
After a couple seconds, that felt like forever, Regulus looked at his wrist. He could see a snake moving around it. The pain started to get a little easier, Regulus felt like he could breathe normally again. He stood up and looked at Voldemort.
“Welcome to us.” Voldemort said before leaving the room with all the death eaters, leaving Regulus standing there alone.
Regulus just stood there for a while, until he heard his mum's heels against the floor. She walked next to him.
“I'm so proud of you my son.” She said with her usually toneless voice. Regulus didn’t answer, he just turned around and walked to his room.
He closed the door, leaned against it and fell on the ground. He could not breathe well, his eyes were tearing. He finally looked at his wrist. He didn’t feel anything, it felt like the world went cold. He was now officially part of this darkness, and there was no way to get out.
