Chapter 2
Regulus managed to get a couple hours of sleep after heading to the common room. A bright morning sun made him get out of the bed, even though he is feeling so tired. He is still thinking about all the things James and him talked about last night. He slowly gets out of the bed, gets dressed and heads to find his friends.
When Regulus walked to the common room, all his friends were sitting on a sofa. Their conversation stopped as Regulus walked him, they looked at him.
Dorcas was the first one to speak. “Morning Regulus, you look tired, didn't you sleep well?” She asked, sounding a little bit worried.
“I woke up at like three in the morning to use the bathroom, Regulus wasn't in his bed. Where have you been the whole night?” Barty asked. All of his friends looked at him confused now.
“I just could not get to sleep, so I walked around the hallway a bit. Nothing important. Should we go to eat breakfast?” Regulus tried to sound as normal and calm as possible.
All the slytherins headed to the great hall to get some breakfast before lessons. As they entered the Great hall, and sat down to get some food, Regulus could not stop looking at the Gryffindor table, trying to find James. And there he was, laughing with Sirius and the others. James looked so bright, how could he be so energetic even though he went to sleep like two hours ago?
“Regulus, are you sure you are alright? You seem off today.” Pandora cut him back to reality.
Regulus turned to look at her, smiling a bit. “Yeah I'm alright, just tired. You don't need to be worried”
Even though Regulus and James have seen each other for a couple months now, it has never felt like it was something special. They meet like once or twice a week, usually they just hook up, sometimes just talk, but this time it felt like something deeper, it felt like the connection between them was deeper than normally. Regulus could not stop thinking about it. He looked at James again, wondering if he was feeling the same way.
“You should not spend the night walking around the school, mate, take some coffee, it will wake you.” Barty said and poured a cup of coffee for Regulus. Regulus just nodded and started to eat breakfast.
“Are you planning to join quidditch practice or are you too tired to do that? We don't want you to fall off the broom.” Evan asked and took a sip of coffee.
“Yeah, I will be there. I'm not going to fall off.” Regulus answered. He had completely forgotten that they had practice today.

The Slytherin quidditch team had just started practising, they were flying around the field. Regulus wasn't fully in it, his thoughts kept going back and forth between the practice and the last night.
“Regulus!” He hears from the back of the field. He turns around and sees Barty flying behind him. “You are playing like a kid, pay attention!” He said before flying past Regulus while trying to murmur the answer.
For a while Regulus flew like normally and had his head in the game, but when for a second he let her thoughts go away, before he can do anything, he feels how bludger hits his broom. His heart skips a beat as he falls down. As he hits the ground, pain takes over his body.
“Fuck Regulus!” He hears Bartys voice coming somewhere near, before everything went black.
