❀Prologue❀
Isla-Mae García always thought of herself as a dianthus flower, more commonly known as a pinking flower. They symbolised hope. And, much like a dianthus, Isla-Mae was always one for hope. She hoped for many things: clear emotions, no paper cuts, the will to live, and - among many other things - for Sirius Black to not be such a distracting nuisance.
Sirius Black, however, was more akin to a Lily Of The Valley in the sense that he was like a brief return of happiness to a dull life of schoolwork. He was handsome and most saw him as a nice enough guy. His returning happiness, on the other hand, was making people laugh. Maybe at a joke, maybe at him, he didn't really care.
Remus Lupin was neither. He didn't think of himself as a flower. He thought of himself as the thorns of a rose. Only harming others.
And maybe that was why. Why Isla-Mae, Sirius, and Remus together made sparks fly, and red roses bloom.
