The Bouncer Wouldn’t Let Him In
It has been 9 years since the war ended, and the idiots just keep coming back like a bad case of herpes, because frankly he doesn’t think blood supremacist deserve better analogy. Not after the damage they wrought on everyone, so many people died, historical records, artifacts, and knowledge lost to pointless destruction. Every time someone tries to create a middle ground just to get the fighting to stop they find another reason to take offense.
Time marches forward, but the British wixen community keeps moving backward. Though for the most part they can blame that on the generations before them, the arsehols did everything they could to rig the system to such an extant that anyone wants get something done they might as well toss it all out and build anew.
The lead criminal as far as they can tell is Dumbeldore; there have actually been published studies showcasing the damage the old goat wrought, one of which was written by war hero, muggleborn, light side poster girl Harmione Grenger to the shock of many. That menace caused so much damage in his time in charge by his inaction, he can honestly be attributed as a significant cause to the broken system that allows the death eaters to keep coming back. They were shocked by the fact he caused more damage than the Dark side supermacist ever could. Arsehole actually got magical child protective services shut down because he doesn’t believe in abuse. Harry used to think it was just his life the man ruined, how naïve he was. He was horrified when McGonagall approached him and Neville after the war, she asked them for help in pushing for the reintroduction of MCPR. According to her the old goat stopped the faculty in Hogwarts from reporting often, and suffocated the ministry’s departments funding using his place as chief warlock, because it just seemed unnecessary to him. That was just the tip of the iceberg, though for many it was the one that hurt the most. Both Riddle, and Grindelwald have been dethroned as the most damaging figures to Europe in the 21st century, there was far to much evidance pointing to a bearded goat.
Harry and his friends had 9 years to try and change things, learn from history and hopefully not repeat it. All of them made sure to finish their education and get masteries so when they do something they had the credentials to get people to listen. Harry himself chose to get a mastery in defense, and a muggle degree in economy and history. Figured most of the damage can not be undone if you don’t have the fundemantels; unsurprisingly, Neville, Harmione and Ginny agreed with him and got both Magical, and non magical credentials. They know they’re fools for trying, but it beats the alternative.
They were trying, are trying… but honestly it just feels like all anyone wants to do is fight. Today things were supposed to be better, they were supposed to be watching the first game in the new children quidditch league. Oliver Wood was justifiably proud of being able to eastblish it, the man had a dream and he worked to make it happen. For inexplicable reason British wixen cannot allow their children to have a day of sportsman comradely and friendly competition, so they went out off their way to ruin it. The crowd of ADULT wixen devolved from cheering, to shouting, to insults, and eventually to an all out battle. Harry found himself overwhelmed while covering for the evacuation of as many children as possible. He missedsteped because of a scared kid that was trapped next to the bleachers. Harry got hit as a result, which slowed him down and lead to more curses hitting him. He knew he was done, he was finally dying, this time if he sees Dumbles he is going to give the old goat a beating, rip his beard off, and curse him permanently Slytherins green and silver.
It all went black and Harry James Potter was relived to finally be done with this shit, he earned his restful afterlife.

There is a wheezing sound coming from somewhere…
Why is the light hurting him?
What is this pushing his chest down?
The after life smells funky…
“Hi, kid… your gonna be fine, hang in there…” what? Where is he? What is going on… everything went black…

He woke up with a mediwix that just wouldn’t stop talking. Kept asking questions and being all cheerful about it. Though why her and the healers seemed confused about who he is he had no clue.
From what he could understand there was an attack and he was caught in the middle of it, which sure, that’s normal. But other things didn’t add up. The uniform the healers were wearing were out of date, they said they found him in Diagon Ally attack even though he was in Blinders Park. There were many other oddities, but biggest of all was that no one knows who he is. Last time that happened he was 11 years old, considering he is currently 26 it’s been a while.
That was when Harry decided to go over his occlumency review his memories, see what he can figure about the situation. He might have a head injury and the holes in his mind palace would help him understand things better than asking question to the damn mediwix. His social battery was not charged enough to handle her. Harry went in to meditative state and reviewed all that happened in the last day, it wasn’t until he was deeply seeped in his mind palace that he realized he was holding another set of memories. When he started to review them Harry got very confused, what’s worse was that he noticed the unfamiliar memory library is working to merge with his preexisting one.
He remember seeing some papers about that boy in Charlus Potter’s vaults, initially he couldn’t understand why there was a vault the men never touched, until he looked in to it and saw it belonged to a boy that died in 1975, at the age of 13. He was the illegitimate child of head Auror Charlus Potter, and ICW Hit-Wixen Natalia Morozovs. Until now he thought it was because the men mourned his son, and didn’t want to touch anything belonging to him. Now he knows better…
According to the memories Hadrian Umbrial Shade had a shittier childhood than Harry James Potter. At least he had his parents who loved him deeply and dearly, this boy doesn’t have parents, he has a sire and a bearer as Natalia made sure he internalized. Harry can see through countless memories where his ‘lovely’ bearer made it clear that she is not his mother. He is simply an obligation she is required to care for. Apparently bastards have no place in proper families, but he is a magical child so he still deserves to be cared for. His sire arranged for a vault with 30,000 g (which to be fair, is a respectable amount most families only dream of, even in Harry’s time). She as his bearer is in-charge of preparing him for life away from either blood lines, least he taint them with the scandal of being born.
Hadrian U. Shade was raised in the Morozovs town house in Birmingham by a house elf, whilst supervised through unpredictable visits from his bearer. He had a tutor for none magical subjects for the ages of 4 to 10, after that he was given an independent study guide for him to follow. As for magical studies his bearer followed an independent and practical approach, he was given a tight schedule to follow, failure to keep up came with what she deemed appropriate punishment. He also had combat training since the age of 3, the instructor was told to push until he breaks, and then to push further. Frankly Harry is honestly not sure which one of them was dealt a shittier hand in life.
Hadrian hated yet appreciated Natalia; she never pretended to be loving, frankly she barely tolerated being in his presence. His bearer made it clear that under no uncertain terms that when she dies, or he turns 17 he is on his own, which ever happens first is up to life.
The thing is, that no matter how much she didn’t care for him, she did make sure that either option he would survive. Natalia pushed him to be independent, made sure he has the foundation to defend himself with and without magic, showed him how to work the system, and how to find blind spots. Guaranteed that he always knew how to find and analyze information without falling in to the trapping of language and misdirection. Taught him how to ask questions and to recognize when he asked the wrong one. In essence Natalia Morozovs did not know how to raise a child, what she did know is how to train special operatives, so that is what she did. (She did what he preferred Dumbeldore would have done considering he viewed Harry as a weapon…)
Then 3 weeks after his 12th birthday she died and he received a letter of eviction as a notification of her demise. His residence in the townhouse was permitted by a member of the Morozovs family, seeing as he is not one he has 7 days grace period to leave the premises or measures will be put in to place. Harry has to hand it to the 12 year old, it took him 2 hours to engrave expansion runes to a leather bag and pack all of his belongings, including an impressive collection of books. He left the only home he knew all his life with out a single look back, merely stooped on his way out to say farewell to the house elf, Daffy.
Shades’ first destination was Gringotts to see what his mother left him, she told him he is not allowed anything from her family, so anything she wants him to have from her must be placed in his vault. He was not disappointed to find she left him up to date papers that would allow him to live without others asking unneeded questions, even had citation of copies filed with the appropriate administrators. There was a trunk full of weapons both magical and none magical in case he needed, which according to her only an idiot goes around without at least 5 knives and a garrote concealed at all times. Another trunk has his study program and books until he finished NEWTs, and A-levels, because she will crawl out of hell and spear him if he doesn’t get full scores by the age of 16. And last but not least was 2 sets of high grade full body armor; soft armor, and tactical.
Got to hand it to her, she was a terrible mother, but a good trainer. Though she left the poor soul with so many issues, from severe anxiety, to selective mutism. Don’t even get started on the OCD, and fear of failure. Most disturbing is that he is fairly certain the only reason the kid didn’t die from failure to thrive at an early age in the nany elf, and even he was replaced when the boy was 2.
After that the kid took enough money to buy a 3 bedroom tent, with a potion lab and a library and paid the goblins to ward it to the nine. Technically the store bought protections should have been enough, but Natalia instilled paranoia and told him that when paying for protections, unless it is Goblin grade, it’s just a waste of money.
The kid did well, he worked on his schooling, trained, collected intel on both the magical and non magical side of Britain and mostly kept his nose clean. Had he not had shit timing and got caught in the middle of a massive attack simply for trying to go to the bank he would have lived a long and miserable quiet life. Sure his life would have been full of accomplishments, and perhaps even peaceful, but his bearer made sure he would never be able to be happy. The witch was right when she told the child she is not a mother, just an idiot that got pregnant and her care for him is her taking responsibility for her actions. Honestly she should have just put him up for adoption…
Well at least he got useful memories to intergrate in to his mind palace and process along with the rest of the mess he accumulated from being Harry Potter. Though he is worried that he can’t seem to control the molding of the two personas, merlin knows what sort of affect it would have on his psyche. Hopefully it would be done by the time Auror Potter arrive. He knows it’s wishful thinking but with some luck he might actually be a decent parent, unlike Natalia. Here’s hoping…
