Chapter 3 The Surprise

"Mom" I excitedly shouted asI ran and hugged her
"Hey Rosy"
"I missed you" I cried into her shoulder (I know it seems immature but I haven't seen her for 2 and a half years)
"We have something for you but first we have to buy snacks and toiletries"
"Ok, is Liv coming with us?" I ask
"She can join us for the first part of the trip, the second part is just going to be family"
“Yay” I exclaimed “ how long is the ‘first part’ of our trip going to be?”
“ One week. Now we need to hurry or else we will be late!” my mom said
“Yes ma’am” liv and I chorus at the same time. We end up getting some snacks, drinks, for the six of us (my mom, my dad, my younger brother, Ramona(moon) my twin sister (yes we are Identical), and Liv my best friend. Once we got all of the supplies, we bought them and then had fun splitting the supplies between the two cars.
Once we were done with loading the cars I asked “ Mom where are we going?”
“The first stop is the USS Arizona tribute site” My mom said with a small smile
“Ok let's get going then” liv, moon and I say in unison.
Liv drives moon, myself, and herself to the tribute site. On our 10 minute drive we looked at the places to eat around us because it was getting close to dinner time and we were all getting hungry.
“Liv, I think that my parents are trying to hide where we are going, but they didn’t fool me.”
“What do you mean?” both moon and Liv asked at the same time.
“She tried this trick on us when we were younger, do you remember the Seattle trip when we were 15 years old?” i asked my sister
“Yeah, what about it?”
“Don’t you remember how she took us to the gardens that were near the space needle? saying ‘I want this trip to be more than just walking around this big city’ and then we ended up getting ‘photos of us with the space needle behind us’ but it was actually her videoing us and telling us that we were going to go to the top of the space needle.”
“Yeah, but what does that have to do with where we are going?”
“Because right next to the tribute site is a Great Wolf Lodge. If mom is doing what i think she is, we will be staying at the great wolf lodge”
“Ok, bet $20 we aren’t” moon says
“Ok, your on”
Once we pulled into the parking lot we decided that we would park close to the front doors of the Great Wolf Lodge. Liv moon and I all walk over to the rest of our group.
“What are these poles for?” I ask
“Why don't we read the signs and find out” liv suggests. As we go around the small building we read all the signs.
“So each pole represents each of the service members that were assigned to the ship, and each of the lights represent a life that was taken due to the pearl harbor attacks.” I summarize the signs that I am reading.
“ at least 1,777 lives lost on the USS Arizona, out of the 2,341 total lives lost because of the pearl harbor attack.” a red head girl who was reading the sign next to us said.
“Oh, thanks, how do you know that?” I ask
“I did some research before and my girlfriend is really into random facts” she commented “ oh sorry, My name is Ginny, Ginny weasley.”
“My name is Camilla, Camilla Rose Lee, and that is my twin sister Ramona, and best friend Olivia” I told Ginny pointing to the others that were now a few posts down from us in another row.
“ Nice to meet you, you're a twin? I have twin brothers. They are 21 years old.” ginny looks around “ there is one of them” pointing in the direction of a tall red headed guy,
“What are their names?” you ask
“Fred and george”
Two guys that were a few rows apart turn towards us and say “you said our names, little sister”
As they come over I realize how hot they are and that they caught my checking them out
“Like what you see, little spark” Fred says George agreeing
“Spark?” i inquire
“Yeah, you spark our interest” George answers my question
“Well, Cami here is with her family it looks like and is also a twin” Ginny brings us back to the original point
“Yeah, in fact it looks like I am being summoned by my mom” I sadly responded as I see my mom waving me over with the rest of the family around her “ are you guys going to be around Phoenix long?”
“We are here for the next week and a half” ginny comments “here is my phone number so that we can keep in contact and maybe hang out this week, that is if you are in the area”
“ i know we are going to be around the area for at least a week, as my friend olivia is with us for that long.” I respond as I walk away.
Walking away, I feel the gaze of strangers lingering on me.
