Cloak

Harry Potter stood and knocked on Severus’ door to his private rooms and waited. He knew the potions master was in as he saw him head this way after breakfast. He smiled when he thought of when he saw Severus that morning, he didn't even attempt to give Harry his scarf back, and the times he saw him yesterday, he never asked if Harry wanted it back or even offered it.

Severus opened the door to his private rooms and wasn't surprised to see Harry standing there. “Still determined to show me you are serious Harry?”

“You called me by my name.”

“Well that is your name is it not.”

“Yes, I'm just surprised, I don't mind obviously, keep calling it me. And yes. Still determined to show you I am serious.”

“I see. And what is the eleventh day?”

Harry smiled. “Cloak.”

Severus merely nodded and reached out, undoing the clasp and taking the cloak off Harry. “Until tomorrow?” he asked.

Harry laughed. “Until tomorrow Severus.” He said and walked away.

Severus closed the door and looking at the cloak in his hand, he sighed and allowed a small smirk as he hung it up next to his own.

Later that day, Severus had just opened the entrance doors when a voice sounded behind him.

“Keep them open please?”

Severus did as asked and watched as Harry walked in carrying a box, shivering slightly. He closed the doors and waved his wand.

“Oh thank you Severus, the box is heavy and I didn't want to put it down in the snow as it would make it cold to carry when I picked it back up after casting a warming charm. “Want a rock cake?”

“No I don't. And don't try to convince me you eat them, because if that were true, you'd have no teeth left. You accept them for the same reason I used to accept Albus’ lemon drops. Politeness.”

Harry laughed. “That's true. Just don't tell him.”

“You have my word. Why did you not wear a cloak before visiting Hagrid?”

Harry looked at Severus. “A tall dark snarky man took it.” he smiled before he carried on walking, leaving Severus to watch him go.

Severus walked into his rooms and as he hung his cloak up he saw Harry's there where he had hung it that morning. Taking the cloak in hand, Severus inhaled it before shaking his head and sighing as he placed it back next to his own. “What am I doing?” he murmured.
