It was the middle of the night, I was beginning to write a letter to Sirius when the thunderstorm started. It started raining at the end of dinner. As I finished the letter I heard a knock on the door. I jumped of the bed and opened my trunk. After rummaging through it and finding Sirius’s envelopes with his address on them that I had him make I hear another knock on the door. I walk down stairs and stop at my parents room to see if my mom is awake.
I shut the door and walk downstairs to the front door. I open it and see Sirius standing on the front porch, soaking wet. “Sirius!” I say and pull him in the house. “ oh my god! what are you doing here?”
“ um, i ran away. My mom…, regulus did something…, and she locked us in our room for an hour, and when she came back she had her wand, and she took regulus’s arm and…” Sirius’s voice cracks and a tear falls down his face.
“ oh my god.. is regulus okay?” I ask
“ I don’t know” he says
“ okay, okay, does anyone know you are here?” I say
“ no! And they can’t, if my parents find me here, they will literally kill me”
“ James! Who is where?” Oh shit, my mom walks down the stairs and says.
“ um, Sirius is here!” I say praying she will let him stay. I look over at him as he waves to her.
“ oh Sirius, what in the bloody hell where you doing out in this storm in the middle of the night?” My mom asks.
“ yeah, sorry. I just wanted to visit James” Sirius says.
“ oh mom, is it alright is Sirius stays with us till we go back to school? Please?” I say looking at her.
“ I guess that would be okay, let me just call Mr. Black to make sure…”
“NO!” Me and Sirius shout.
“ she doesn’t know I am here, I ran away.” Sirius says looking at the ground.
“ oh, are you sure she won’t be worried?”
“ I don’t think so”
“ okay then. Well you two boys must go to back to bed, James I’ll make up the quest bedroom for Sirius”
“ okay!” I say
“ thank you!” Sirius says as we race up the stairs to my room. After Sirius changes into dry clothes and we get ready for bed Sirius and I climb into our beds. Sirius falls asleep quick but I can’t sleep. I hope Reggie is okay, their mom can be shit sometimes.
