Note
Wolfstar breakup but underestimate the insane level of sexual tension they have.

The common room was nearly empty, bathed in the faint, flickering glow of the fire. Sirius sat slumped in the chair nearest to the hearth, his head resting against the back, his gaze fixed on the flames. He looked thinner than usual, shadows hollowing out his face, his dark hair falling messily over tired eyes.

Remus stood at the edge of the room, watching him in silence. It had been five long, messy months of tentative friendship after their bitter breakup, and yet this fragile truce felt as volatile as Sirius himself. They spoke, they laughed—sometimes, it almost felt normal again—but beneath it all was the unspoken tension, the gravity of everything they hadn’t addressed.

And the fire between them. Merlin, the fire never really went away.

Remus cleared his throat softly, and Sirius startled, his head jerking up. When he saw who it was, his body seemed to deflate, tension leaving his shoulders, though his expression remained guarded.

“Moony,” Sirius said, his voice rasping as if he hadn’t spoken all day. “What are you doing up?”

“I couldn’t sleep,” Remus admitted, stepping closer. He sank into the chair across from Sirius, resting his elbows on his knees. “I’ve been thinking.”

Sirius arched a brow, his lips quirking into a faint, bitter smile. “Dangerous habit, that.”

Remus didn’t return the smile. His amber eyes fixed on Sirius, serious and searching. “I’ve been thinking about us.”

The smile slid off Sirius’s face, and he straightened in his chair. “What about us?” he asked carefully, his voice trembling slightly.

Remus took a deep breath, his fingers curling into the fabric of his trousers. “About how much I’ve missed you. About how much I—how much I still want you.”

Sirius froze, his grey eyes wide and startled, but the raw hope in them was unmistakable.

“I’ve been so angry with you, Sirius,” Remus continued, his voice low and shaky. “Angry for what you did. Angry for how reckless you were. But mostly angry because... because no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t stop loving you. Even when I wanted to.”

Sirius let out a shaky breath, his hands gripping the arms of the chair. “Moony, I—I don’t know what to say. I—”

“Don’t,” Remus said quickly, holding up a hand. “Let me finish.” He stood abruptly, pacing in front of the fire. “I’ve been holding on to my anger because it was easier than admitting how much I missed you. How much it hurt to be without you. But these past few months, being around you again...” He stopped, turning to face Sirius. “It’s unbearable, Sirius. The tension. The way you look at me. The way I can’t stop looking at you. It’s like there’s this fire between us, and no matter how hard I try to fight it, it just keeps burning.”

Sirius stood too, his movements slow and hesitant, as if he were afraid to scare Remus off. “You think I don’t feel it?” he said, his voice hoarse. “It’s been driving me mad, Moony. Every time I’m near you, it’s like—like I can’t breathe. And the times we...” He trailed off, his cheeks coloring slightly.

“The times we gave in,” Remus finished for him, his voice soft but heavy with meaning.

Sirius nodded, swallowing hard. “Yeah. Those times.” He took a step closer, his voice trembling. “I didn’t think I’d ever get to touch you again. To—to have you hold me. Or kiss me. And then it happened, and it was everything, Moony. Everything I’ve ever wanted. But I didn’t let myself hope, because I didn’t think you’d ever forgive me.”

“I’m not sure I ever will,” Remus admitted, his eyes glistening. “Not completely. But I can’t keep fighting this, Sirius. I don’t want to. I want to try again. With you.”

Sirius let out a shaky, disbelieving laugh, tears welling in his eyes. “You mean that? You’re not just saying it to—to let me down easy?”

“I mean it,” Remus said, stepping closer until they were barely a foot apart. “But I need you to understand something. I’m giving us another chance, but trust doesn’t just come back. It’ll take time. You hurt me, Sirius. Deeply. And I don’t know if I’ll ever trust you the way I used to.”

Sirius nodded quickly, his hands twitching at his sides as if he were fighting the urge to reach for Remus. “I’ll wait as long as it takes. I’ll spend the rest of my life proving to you that I’m worth trusting again. Just—just tell me this isn’t a dream.”

“It’s not a dream,” Remus whispered.

That was all the permission Sirius needed. He surged forward, cupping Remus’s face in his hands, his lips crashing into his in a kiss that was desperate, hungry, and full of unspoken promises. Remus melted into him, his hands gripping Sirius’s shirt as months of tension, longing, and heartbreak poured into the kiss.

They stumbled backward, their movements clumsy but eager, until Sirius’s knees hit the edge of the sofa. He fell back, pulling Remus with him, their bodies pressing together as the kiss deepened.

“Sirius,” Remus murmured against his lips, his voice shaky. “Are you sure?”

Sirius pulled back just enough to look him in the eyes. “I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life,” he said, his voice trembling with emotion. “I love you, Moony. I’ll always love you.”

Remus’s heart twisted at the raw vulnerability in Sirius’s expression. He cupped Sirius’s face, his thumb brushing over his cheekbone. “I love you too,” he whispered. “I never stopped.”

The words hung between them for a moment before they came together again, their kisses growing slower but no less passionate. They took their time, rediscovering each other with touches and whispers, their connection stronger than it had ever been.

Slow kisses eventually turned into puffs of breath against each other’s mouths as their clothed bodies grinded against each other on the couch. Sparks of long awaited pleasure hitting them with every thrust.

Eventually Remus’ hands wandered to Sirius’s belt and after thoroughly reacquainting his hand to Sirius’ cock he whispered a gentle “Turn over”

Sirius obliged eagerly and soon enough found himself biting into the common room couch pillows to quiet his moans as Remus’ fingers opened him up.

When Remus’ fingers momentarily paused to tackle his own trousers and massage his own cock, Sirius breathily whispered “I missed you so much Moony, I forgot how good this felt, how good you felt”

Remus responded by kissing the back of Sirius’ neck and whispering “I didn’t. I thought about this all the time. Everyday, I dreamt about how much I longed to be inside you again baby”

“Do it. Please Moony, I can’t wait any longer. Please fuck me”

“I will, I will but I want to see your face, turn around again”

Sirius readily flipped himself so that he lay flat on his back and widened his legs to accommodate space for Remus to slide in between. Remus crept forward and leaned down so that his face lay inches above Sirius’. For a moment, Remus did nothing but stare. As they gazed into each other’s eyes, they both felt the deep weight of what they were about to do. After eight painful months of both of them secretly wishing for this. They were finally here.

“You’re so beautiful” Remus eventually whispered. Which was met with a teary eyed smile from Sirius and a trembling hand coming up to cup Remus’ face.

“I’m ready” Sirius uttered.

And that’s all it took for Remus to line himself up and slowly push inside. At the first thrust, Sirius screwed his eyes shut and could swear he could’ve came right then and there.

“Ah - ah, aww fuck Remusss” he whined as a single tear fell down his cheek.

Remus wiped it away lovingly and continued his movements until he bottomed out and released a long exhale.

As he held himself still over Sirius, he whispered “Fuckkk you’re so tight. I love you”

“I love you too Moony but please please please move” Sirius clenched and unclenched his jaw

“Okay baby”

Remus immediately picked up his thrusts and both of them let out loud drawn out moans as they gave into the pleasure they’d denied themselves of for months.

“Fuck, fuuuuck moony it feels so good, so deep”

“You’re so hot baby, so good, you always take me so well”

Sirius whined in response to the praise and after a few more thrusts found himself coming undone on Remus’ cock completely untouched. After a short moment to regain sanity, he looked upwards to his Moony’s face and saw a face of complete awe and desire. It had been so long since Remus had looked at him like that and the look threatened to make Sirius’ heart explode.

Although, Sirius had come already, he knew the night was far from over.

That night, they made love twice more in the quiet warmth of the common room, the firelight casting soft shadows over them. It wasn’t rushed or frantic but tender, deliberate—a long-overdue reunion of two souls who had been apart for far too long.

As they lay tangled together afterward, Sirius pressed a soft kiss to Remus’s temple, his hand resting over his heart.

“Thank you,” Sirius murmured, his voice thick with emotion.

“For what?” Remus asked sleepily, his head resting on Sirius’s chest.

“For giving me another chance,” Sirius said. “For still believing in us.”

Remus closed his eyes, his hand tightening over Sirius’s. “Just don’t make me regret it,” he whispered.

“I won’t,” Sirius promised, his voice firm. “Not ever again.”

The fire crackled softly in the hearth, and for the first time in months, the two of them felt at peace. Together.
