It was an evening like any other at Hogwarts, Lily Evans was sitting in the library, when three boys sat down in front of her.
"Hey guys... Didn't you go home for Christmas holidays?"
"We didn't want to leave you alone and we also wanted to spend some time with Harry" the young girl's eyes lit up
"Thank you..."
"This is for you and Harry" from his pants pocket he took out a chocolate bar and a lollipop-shaped keychain
"We found them at Hogsmade the last time we went"
"You shouldn't have... I made you these" she handed them three scarves, identical, different colors
"They're beautiful! Thank you so much" the boys rejoiced, they sat together at the table sharing the chocolate bar
"I think I won't be able to come to Hogwarts next year"
"Why?"
"Sirius, Harry is starting to grow and understand... I don't know if he'll become a wizard, I was born a Muggle and so was the person who provided for his birth... Hagrid was kind enough to raise him in his hut. But it's not a permanent stability. I have responsibilities. I chose to bring him into the world and I have to take care of him as best I can, I don't want him to grow up like I did" the boys looked at each other
"I can leave him with my parents, it wouldn't be a problem for them" the girl shook her head
"No, James thanks. Tonight, I'll take him home and we'll see what to do"
The dark night had arrived and invaded the fields, a hooded figure came out of a wooden hut, walked along the grassy road wetting his pants, the moon lit up his path, arrived at the gate he took his wand, ready to go out, when he heard a voice behind her, the blood froze in his veins.
"Evans, you can't leave the castle. I thought you were staying at Hogwarts for Christmas. Your friends are here." Evans didn't turn around
"That's right, Professor McGonagall, but I have an emergency and I really have to go." She took a step toward the gate, a small groan shattering the silence that had come between them
"Evans, are you okay?" the girl felt tears stinging her eyes
"I have to go, I'm sorry"
"Lily, look at me. If there's something wrong, I can help you, you don't have to be afraid" Lily decided to turn around, showing the woman in front of her a small bundle, with a baby inside, with brown hair and green eyes
"This is Harry, my son and he's one year old" the young woman was speechless for a moment that seemed like an eternity to Evans
"Lily... You're only 14"
"Yeah, I know..." she looked down, uncomfortable
"I'm sorry to have disappointed you, Professor"
"Disappointed? It's not your fault, Lily. You know that, right?" McGonagall reached out to caress her face but the young witch pulled away abruptly
"Sorry..."
"Come with me. It's cold in here and for Harry too"
"I don't want Hagrid to be sent away, he helped me so much... He's the only one I told initially"
"Don't worry. Everything will be fine"
"Professor?"
"Yes?"
"I don't want to be separated from Harry" the young woman nodded
"Let's go" she let Evans go first, following her, so the girl didn't notice her tears
