Vi held Caitlyn’s hand holding it tight, like she didn’t want to ever let her go ever again
“Well I guess there’s no better time to do this” Vi said
“Do what?” Caitlyn asked confused
Vi got down on one knee
Mel and Ekko gasped
Mel put her hand over her mouth in shock
“What are you doing?” Caitlyn asked
“Caitlyn Kiramman, you are the most amazing person that has ever come into my life, from the day I met you, I knew you were different… The day I fell in love with you was-“ Vi sighed smiling remembering when she fell in love with her
“It was the best day of my entire life…”
Caitlyn got a tear in her eye
“This may not be the best time to do this, and I know I don’t have a ring either, but after today, after not being with you for a while, I realised… I-I don’t want to be apart from you anymore. I can’t live without you and I don’t intend to, I want to be with you till the day I die, I want to build a life with you, only you, and no one else…”
A tear rolls down Caitlyn’s cheek she chuckled a little because she couldn’t believe what she was hearing
“I don’t want to lose you ever again Caitlyn”
Vi smiled
“So what do you say cupcake..?” Vi asked
“Will you marry me?”
Caitlyn never thought those 4 words would ever come out of Vi’s mouth, not for a while at least
Cait looked at Vi with tears rolling down her face smiling
“Yes, yes!” She choked
“Yeah?” Vi asked smiling getting up from her knee
“Yes!” Caitlyn chuckled with tears rolling down her face “A thousand times yes, I would want nothing more!”
Vi grabbed Caitlyn’s face with her hand and kissed her
Ekko and Mel cheered
Vi put her head on Caitlyn’s chuckling and smiling to each other
“I’ll do this again properly with a ring, don’t worry” Vi smiled
Caitlyn nodded no
“It was perfect” she said quietly, smiling, putting a hand on Vi’s cheek
Vi smiled and hugged Caitlyn tightly, her hand at the back of her neck, holding her tightly like she didn’t want to let her go
Cait hugged her back her hands wrapping round Vi’s back
“I love you Caitlyn” Vi said smiling
There was no answer back
“Caitlyn?” Vi asked, wondering why she’s not answering
Caitlyn’s arm dropped off Vi and onto the bed
Cait was in Vi’s arms
Vi looked at her
Cait wasn’t moving, her body was slumped in Vi’s arm and Vi could feel he getting heavy
“Caitlyn?!” Vi shook her more
A rapid loud beeping started going off
Vi shook Caitlyn again
“Not again, please” Vi said
“Caitlyn!” Vi shook her more again
A doctor came rushing in
“SHE’S CRASHING! GET A CRASH CART!”
Nurses and doctors came in again, the nurse took Caitlyn out of Vi’s arms placing her on the bed
Vi stumbles back in disbelief that this was happening again
She didn’t fight this time, she let the doctors do their job
Instead she was in shock, just looking at Caitlyn getting CPR done, her body going up and down, not breathing
It’s like everything went muffled around her and it was only Caitlyn in the room unconscious
A nurse touched Vi pushing her out the room, she didn’t fight back
Ekko saw what the nurse was doing
“We’ve got this” Ekko said to the nurse
Ekko slowly took Vi out the room, Vi walked backwards in shock, not taking her eyes off Caitlyn
Vi could hear her own breathing
Mel, Ekko and Vi were now outside the room
Mel and Ekko were talking but everything was still muffled and blurry for Vi
She could still only hear her own breathing going faster and faster
Her breathings going faster and faster, mixed with the rapid beeping she could hear, mixed with Mel and Ekko talking, muffled and blurry
Vi put her hands on the back of her head pacing around not knowing what to do
Her breathing and and pacing going faster and faster
She couldn’t take it anymore, Vi curled her hands into fists, screamed and punched a wall
Mel and Ekko stopped talking and immediately turned to Vi
She took deeper breaths, put her back and head against the same wall she punched
She slid down the wall, knees bent and put her arms on the top of her knees
She put her chin to her chest
She head tears in her eyes that was slowly falling from her eyes to the floor
Ekko sighed and went to sit next to her just being there for her
Mel stayed standing, pacing back and forth, biting her nails in worry of what’s going to happen
Vi sat there not moving
“I just got her back…” she said quietly
“I asked her to marry me” she said as tears fall from her eyes
Ekko sat next to her, putting a hand on her shoulder, staying with her, being there for her.
