Chapter 2
Lily Evans had been studying with Remus and Regulus since second year. Almost 4 years now and most days Pandora would stop by to say hi to her brother and then have a quick chat with Regulus before going on her way. They studied on Wednesdays and most saturdays. It was currently Tuesday and Lily is stressing because she might be a bit too worried that Pandora might show up tomorrow.
With how intertwined she was with Pandora she saw her quite a bit and lily knew for a fact everytime Pandora walked by her she got a bit too quiet and blushed a bit too much. And really it wasn't her fault. Because somehow since that kiss Pandora seemed to show up everywhere Lily went.
All that occupied Lily's mind was Pandora. everything reminded her of the kiss for that stupid party game. She could not stop thinking about how tomorrow she would see Pandora agaig. she wasn't sure if Pandora would even talk to her. Normally Lily only got a hi or nod before Pandora went on with her day. Lily wasn't sure if she wanted Pandora to ignore her like normal or actually talk to her because she really did want to get to know Pandora. Ever since she was introduced to her in second year she decided that she was going to make sure Pandora was okay. firstly because Pandora was her best friend's little sister and she was going to make sure that she was okay. Secondly, she thought Pandora was very interesting. She liked things that most people didn't. Even though she was a witch she still seemed different. She believed in things that didn't seem real, she always had crystals with her, she wore flowers in her hair, and she collected things wherever she seemed to go. Most people didn't seem to like her but Lily always thought she was so interesting.
When Lily met Regulus that same day she thought there was no way that boy was anything like his brother. Mainly in the good ways like the way Regulus had a book in his arm when he was introduced to Lily. But one thing she worried about was that in everything Sirius did lack, he was kind. Even if he didn't show it Sirius cared. He had always been there for people he cared about. Meanwhile the younger Black brother didn't seem like that. So when Regulus and Pandora became friends Lily was worried. But then Pandora and Regulus became best friends.
Lily also became friends with Regulus and this is how Lily got herself into her current situation. Lily was sitting in a back corner of the library with Regulus and Remus. They had been there for about 40 minutes and Lily really had not studied anything. All she could think about was when Pandora was going to show up.
“Alright. I’m done with this. Lily, what is going on?” Remus asked her, breaking the silence.
“Nothing. I’ll focus now. I swear” Lily knew this was a lie.
“Lily, I'm worried too,” said Regulus. “You've been different ever since the party”
"I swear it's nothing Regulus."
"But you have been different Lily. you seem to be over thinking and you haven't studied the whole time which is the exact opposite of the you i know" said Remus obviously worried. But she was not about to tell one of her best friends that she was pretty sure she had a very large all consuming crush on his little sister. because that just would not end well. She knew Remus wasn't the type to be against her but also he gets mad easily. well he'd never been that mad a Lily had he?
She was over thinking. She needed to stop.
"It was after you kissed Panda wasn't it?" said Regulus. Ugh she cursed herself for having smart friends.
"No it wasn't"
"Yes actually it definitely was" she silently pleaded for Regulus to stop. But she also knew that Remus now knew. From one look she knew that Remus now knew all about her crush on Dora.
"Remus I swear it's not like that. y'know i would ever do anything to your sister. You've known me for years and you know how I would never mess with her. From the second I met her I decided I was going to make sure she was okay, because she was your sister but also because she was just so per-" Lily was then cut off by Remus.
"Okay, Lily, you're stressing over something you one hundred percent should not be stressing over." Lily still could not believe it. "It's very obvious that you are pretty obsessed with Pandora. And honestly there is no one I think would be better with her than you. You seem to care about her very much. And you're right, i've known you for years and I know you would never do anything to my sister. so if you'd like to try things with her i would be more that happy for you and her both"
"i- thank you so much Remus" Lily couldn't help herself from standing immediately to hug Remus. "thank you thank you thank you!"
"alright Lils- you're gonna kill me" so Lily let go to sit back in her seat
"Now shut up! She is going to be here any minute now and i don't need her knowing about this!'' Lily said.
"I think you should just tell her lily" Regulus added
"No, not right now. I will tell her eventually. I swear but right now. I need to get to actually know her first."
as if on cue Pandora walked around the corner
"Hi guys!'' Pandora had never sat and talked to all of them but today was different. Pandora was now sitting in the chair closest to lily.
"Hello Dora" Regulus said looking up from his book
"Hi Panda!" Remus said to his sister
This is normally when Lily would add a quick hi or nod but today Pandora actually addressed her!
"Hi lily!" Pandora said separately than to the others
"Hey Pandora!" lily tried not to seem to excited but she didn't think she could with how happy she was
"y'know you can call me Dora. but i was wondering if you would like to join me in the forest this weekend! I wanted to show you something!"
"Well sure Dora. What day were you thinking?"
“When are you able to?”
"Is Saturday fine?" she replied
"Sure!" Pandora said standing up "Well I will let you get back to studying! See you saturday!"
"Alright! see you saturday Dora!" lily said watching Pandora leave the library
"You just planned a date right in front of me! That might be going a bit too far!” Remus said once Pandora had left.
"It's not a date!" Lily said
"it's definitely a date" Regulus chimed in "Pandora doesn't invite just anyone into the woods with her." he added
so now lily was going on a date where she wasn't sure if either person knew they were going on a date
