Remus

Black horrible eyes met his gaze. His mouth started to move wanting to cast a counter spell, but he was a second short. Then green light hit him tearing into his body. He felt intense cold that he never felt before, like everything, including him, froze. Losing any sensation in his body, he knew that he would never feel anything anymore. Not pain nor pleasure, not warmth nor cold. He knew he was falling but he didn’t feel it. His body hit the ground when he lost the sight of what was going on around him. In front of his eyes images from all his life started flashing. His parents waving to him when Hogwarts Express left the station. When the sorting hat yelled “Gryffindor”. When he first saw the boys that later became Marauders. Feeling like he belonged. His one true love. Their first kiss and how scared he felt then. The first time he allowed himself to say, “I love you”. When he first met Harry. The last time he saw the face of his lover. The pain and grief he felt. Birth of Teddy. When he held his little hand for the first time. The first time he heard his son laugh. When he kissed his head, leaving for Hogwarts, knowing he might never see him again. Joyful laughter of the ones he loved most, which the world took from him cruelly, filled his ears. He felt the happiness they send him. He knew that it wasn’t physically possible, but he felt himself smile. And then death took him into her arms, filling him with warmth and peace. Everything went black.

Antonin Dolohov laughed maniacally when he saw his spell hit his opponent in the chest, green light exploding. The last breath of Remus Lupin left his mouth as his lifeless body hit the ground.
