Goodbye, kid

The Port Mafia headquarters loomed over the city. Casting a giant shadow. Swallowing all the light that there was. It was an iron vault. But nothing could hold Akutagawa back from getting to his sister.

Unarmed he stormed inside. With only his rage and ability. Armed men in suits stood at the entrance.

“Where is the boss of the port mafia?!” Akutagawa screamed, filled with fury.

These men started to shoot. Thousands of bullets flew towards him. But Rashomon protected him from all the bullets.

He struck. A few heads were severed and went flying. Blood splattered everywhere. He didn’t care.

“Come on out!!! Boss of the port mafia!!”

More heads went flying. He would slaughter them all until he had his sister.

“This guy is nuts!” a man screamed before his head also landed on the ground.

But they didn’t relent. Such fools willing to die for a man as cruel as him. More men care running. More forces trying to hold him away from his sister.

Apparently they didn’t know how it was to lose a sibling. You would do anything to get them back. Anything. ANYTHING.

Carnage filled the ground floor of the port mafia headquarters. Blood was everywhere. But not a scratch on Akutagawa.

“Come out!! Get him out here!! Boss of the port mafia!!” he screamed.

He raged. He saw red and wouldn’t stop until Gin was safe.

Everyone laid dead on the floor. Akutagawa walked over the bodies further in the building. Where was the man in black?!

In the hallway were more. With one slash they fell to the floor.

The hallway was now empty. Before him stood one man. A kid with white hair.

“Who the hell are you daring to block my way?!” Akutagawa yelled.

“I am Atsushi Nakajima. I wont allow you any further.” The white haired kid spoke.

“Out of my way.” Akutagawa demanded. “Don’t think I’ll go easy on you just because you are a kid. Anyone who stands between me and my sister will be cut down.”

Atsushi sighed. “Very well. Anyone who dares to try to hurt the boss will be killed.”

The white haired kid suddenly turned into a tiger and attacked. Akutagawa struck.

“Dazai.” Draco spoke.

His boss stood alone in his giant office. Staring out of the windows, looking down on the city. Slowly he turned around and looked at him with a smile. One eye hidden behind a bandage.

“We have an intruder.”

Dazai simply nodded. “So I have heard.”

“He already has cut down many of our garrison.”

His boss turned back around and gazed at the city. It looked as he simply didn’t care.

“The intruder is Akutagawa Ryuunosuke. Is he Gin her sister?”

“Indeed he is.” Dazai stated.

Draco stared at his boss for a moment. That little boy who had become such a powerful opponent. He knew he hadn’t changed. He had only hid his true self back in Hogwarts.

“In that case, is he infiltrating this building because you lured him here, Dazai?”

There was no answer.

“The letter you had me deliver… Is that why he is here? Did you want him to attack us?”

Dazai stepped menacingly closer. His face dark and ominous. “And what if I did?”

Draco froze.

Then his boss suddenly started to laugh. “Just kidding. Its an unfortunate side effect. I should’ve killed him when I first met him. Such a loose canon is what he is.”

“He is powerful. But he is a fool. Such things don’t go together. He only follows his anger. What a shame. He could’ve been a good asset to us.” Dazai sighed.

“Now I’m merely taking out the trash. But there is another person I wanted to know my presence.”

“Who is it..?”

Dazai his smile widened.

“My dear Draco. Did you know that Blaise is in the city?”

Akutagawa was still fighting with everything he had. Atsushi wouldn’t stop him. He needed to find Gin.

Both parties were already bloody and wounded. Atsushi trembled on his legs. “I will kill you. That was an orders from the boss.”

With a final attack Atsushi flew against the wall.

Suddenly that same Blonde haired man from before appeared. Draco was his name. He stood before Atsushi, protecting him.

“Are you alright Atsushi?”

The kid behind him just laid there, unmoving. Blood started to pool beneath him. His eyes shrank. “Atsushi..?”

But then he remembered the enemy before him. His hands shaking.

“You are like a wild beast. Going feral and killing everyone. The boss was right.” Draco said.

“Your boss, where the hell is he. Such a coward not fighting me head on.” Akutagawa sneered.

Draco pulled out his wand, ready to attack. He had his orders.

Suddenly a man ran into the hallway. “Akutagawa! Come with me now! You idiot!”

It was Blaise. Draco lowered his wand again. “Blaise…?”

Blaise looked in confusion at Draco while Draco returned the same look. Both were frozen.

Then Blaise looked down. There laid Akutagawa. Dead. “Akutagawa!” Blaise rushed to his side. Draco didn’t do anything. He kept staring at Atsushi. Having a panic attack of his own. Draco grabbed the body and disappeared.

Blaise was kneeling beside Akutagawa. He pressed a finger to his wrist. Nothing. The kid was dead. Dead.

He only could think of Dazai. The port mafia boss. And Draco, a mafioso. Who had ever thought Mr. rich boy would become a mafia member?

And Akutagawa, too young to die. If Blaise had been here earlier the kid would still have lived.

“Draco.”

Draco was on the floor. Shuddering and holding his head.

“You failed to protect Atsushi. He is in critical condition in medical.”

Draco was trembling and sweating.

“I have to protect…”

“Indeed you do. And you failed. Just like all those years ago.”

His head was spinning. Despretly holding on to it.

“Pansy…” he whispered.

“Yes, you let her die. You killed her.” Dazai said.

“I failed to protect.”

Dazai walked out of the dark room shutting the doors behind him. Leaving Draco in a dark room.

Dazai grabbed a letter out of his pocket and called someone over. “Here. Deliver this to Blaise Zabini.”

In the aftermath Blaise brought Akutagawa back to the ADA. Nobody said anything. He was a good kid. But a wild beast indeed. Overcome by the need to find his siter.

If only Blaise didn’t become like that in his search for Dazai Osamu.

When Blaise returned to his dorm he found a letter.

Meet me at bar Lupin.

That was all it said. A bar named Lupin. And like any sane person who got a mysterious letter with no sender that told them to go somewhere, he obviously went there.

***

There was a glowing sign that said “Lupin”.

There was a door followed by a staircase going down. Carefully he stepped inside. Downstairs was a dark gloomy bar. Ever step creaked. A musty smell filled his nostrils. It was cold. An old wooden bar. There was only one person present. Sitting on a stool. Drinking some whiskey.

The man turned around. Revealing one bandaged eye and messy brown hair.

“Osamu…?”
