Forced to pay debts
[October - Astronomy Tower, Hogwarts]
Severus Snape stood alone atop the tower to deliver information about the enemy to the Hogwarts director, his black cloak billowing in the cold October air. The war was moving quickly, and every day seemed to lean more toward Lord Voldemort's victory. For most, that would mean power, recognition, and a secure place in the new wizarding hierarchy. For Severus, it meant a searing guilt that consumed his soul.
He braced his hands on the cold stone railing, gripping it tightly as he closed his eyes. His mind, normally a haven of impenetrable control, had become an unbearable chaos of images and memories. Lily. Her bright laugh in his childhood. Their arguments at Hogwarts. The moment he called her... that. One word that had destroyed everything between them...supposedly for those who didn't know they were more than friends, because last summer they had a lot of sex, unfortunately it wasn't enough, because he found her in the forbidden forest having an orgy with Potter, Black and Lupin, his enemies who humiliated him. That betrayal on his part ended everything between them. That was the moment he decided to join the deadly.
"If only..." he murmured, his voice broken in the loneliness of the night. But he knew there was no "if only." The decisions he had made were his own. He had taken the prophecy to Voldemort as an offering of loyalty, eager to prove his worth. But when he realized what that meant for Lily, for his family... the weight of his betrayal became unbearable.
He had pleaded with Albus Dumbledore. His pride, his dignity, everything he had left, he laid at the feet of the old wizard, begging for Lily's life. "I care not for the man or the boy. Just save her."
Dumbledore had looked at him with a mixture of contempt and resignation. "Is that all you care about, Severus? A life in exchange for your sold soul."
And yet the old man had agreed. Not for him, but for the chance to save innocent lives. "You will be my spy. My servant. My weapon against him. Do you accept?"
Severus had agreed, but not out of nobility or redemption. He did it for her. Out of love. Out of guilt. A poisonous combination that now ate away at him.
As the stars shone down upon him, Severus felt a tear, bitter and hot, run down his cheek. He knew he was a broken man, torn between a past he could not change and a future he could not control. If Voldemort won, he would have power, yes, but never what he truly desired. Lily was out of his reach. She always had been.
The cold wind brought an echo of laughter from the castle. The war had not yet come here, but it would soon. Severus took a deep breath and squared his shoulders. If battle was to claim him, it would be as the man who tried to right his wrongs, even though his soul was already damned.
[Forbidden Forest, Darkness and Revelations]
The night sky was covered in clouds, leaving the landscape plunged into a gloom that barely allowed the shadows of the trees to be distinguished. Severus Snape flew quickly over the Forbidden Forest, his cloak billowing behind him like a dark wing. He had fulfilled his mission: the documents he gave to Dumbledore contained key information about the Death Eaters' plans. Now, his purpose at Hogwarts was fulfilled, and there was no reason to stay any longer than necessary.
The flying technique he had learned from Voldemort himself was efficient, silent, and liberating. But as he flew over the trees, a sharp pain pierced his head, as if an invisible knife were tearing through his mind. A whirlwind of colors and screams emerged from nowhere, assaulting his senses.
Severus lost control. The voices were loud, incomprehensible, but filled with a heartbreaking urgency. Images began to form before him, as if he were being dragged through a chaotic Pensieve.
“The prophecy…”
Sybill Trelawney’s voice echoed in his mind, mixed with the echo of Voldemort’s cruel laughter. Then, Dumbledore’s stern gaze, heavy with secrets and manipulations. Lily. Always Lily. Her fire-red hair, her smile lighting up the darkness of his childhood. But those images were replaced by something worse: death. Her lifeless body, horror etched on her face as she fell to her son’s defense.
Severus felt the ground rapidly approaching, but the visions held him trapped. Between them, one truth formed, clear and cruel. Dumbledore had lied to him.
The prophecy was not just a threat to Voldemort, but a tool. Lily was not going to be saved. There was no plan to truly protect her. Dumbledore was not her savior, but her jailer. He had used her love, her guilt, her desperation, as just another piece in the game against the Dark Lord.
"She will die. This is all for nothing."
That thought, raw and heartbreaking, made Severus' eyes snap open. With a superhuman effort, he threw out his arms and twisted his body in the air, achieving an abrupt turn before crashing to the ground. His feet brushed the treetops, and he ascended back into the sky, breathing raggedly as cold sweat ran down his forehead.
Severus hovered for a moment in the air, shivering. The Forbidden Forest seemed silent, as if it were holding its breath along with him. What should he do now?
Dumbledore's betrayal boiled in his blood. Everything he had fought for, everything he had sacrificed, seemed now a cruel deception. Should he return to Voldemort's side? Take revenge against Dumbledore? Or find a way to save Lily himself, trusting none of them?
As he floated through the darkness, one thing became clear: he couldn't trust anyone. Only himself. And, if Lily was truly going to die... then he would do everything in his power to destroy those who condemned her. On both sides.
[Night in Godric's Hollow: Snape's New Purpose]
Severus landed softly in a clearing just outside Godric's Hollow, his heart pounding. Memories of his future self still burned in his mind, like a relentless fire burning everything in its path. Now he knew the truth: it had all been a game. Albus Dumbledore, the man who had sworn to protect Lily, had manipulated even her sacrifice, turning it into another piece in his chess game against Voldemort.
"I cannot allow this to happen. Not again."
With his wand in hand and the cloak enveloping him like a shadow, he advanced towards the Potter house. It was a modest building, protected by strong enchantments, but not impenetrable enough for someone like him. As he walked, images from memories invaded his mind:
Lily falling, believing that her sacrifice would protect her son. Harry, a part of Voldemort's soul embedded within him, being molded for a purpose without knowing it. And himself, a pawn of two great titans, unable to save her, unable to stop the tragedy.
But now, armed with the knowledge of the future, he had a chance.
"It all depends on tonight."
[Potter House, Night of Despair]
The night was a heavy, suffocating blanket, which seemed to feed on the tragedy looming over Godric's Hollow. Severus Snape had arrived in front of the Potter house. The door was swung wide open, and an icy draft escaped from within like a whisper of death.
With his wand in hand, he moved forward with determination, but a thought stopped him. Peter Pettigrew. The traitor must be close. He could not allow him to escape; leaving him alive would be too dangerous. He pointed his wand at the ground, at the corners, and muttered a detection charm. The magical waves spread out like a silent echo, and soon he sensed the disturbance: Wormtail was hiding in the bushes.
Without hesitation, he cast a "Confringo" at the spot. A rat squeal and a flash of light confirmed his guess. Peter Pettigrew emerged from the shadows, terrified. Their eyes met, and in them Snape saw absolute fear reflected. Peter raised his wand, stammering something, but Severus gave him no chance.
With restrained hatred and cold concentration, he channeled his power. Sectumsempra. He didn't need to say the words; the spell erupted from him like an extension of his will. The cutting curse sliced through the air like an invisible blade, striking Peter in the chest. He fell back, gasping as blood soaked the ground beneath him.
Pettigrew's eyes clouded over as his life faded away. In his final moments, an image formed in his mind: Lily. It was a strange thought, but clear. And with a final whisper, he understood: Snape still loved her.
Severus didn't look at him twice. The mission wasn't complete. He put his wand away and entered the house.
Inside the Potters
James Potter's body lay on the living room floor, inert, his wand still in his hand. Without the invisibility cloak that Albus created and then asked for to study it... ironic or fair, since nothing is free and now Potter paid with his life. An expression of determination and sacrifice had frozen on his face. In another time, Severus might have felt a dark satisfaction at seeing his enemy defeated. But now, that victory was bitter, a portent that he might have come too late.
Then, he heard the scream.
"I won't move! Please, no! Don't touch my son!"
Lily's voice echoed from upstairs, desperate, filled with love and terror. Severus' heart stopped for an instant. She was alive.
The Dark Lord replied coldly, "Foolish girl. This is not negotiable."
Without thinking, Severus launched himself toward the stairs. Flying. It was risky, almost suicidal, in such a confined space, but he couldn't waste time. He held out his hands and let the dark magic propel him upward. He missed a door frame by inches and landed in front of the room just as Voldemort raised his wand.
"Avada Kedavra..."
Before the curse could be completed, Severus extended his wand, barely muttering in his mind: Sectumsempra.
The spell struck the Dark Lord at the base of the skull. Voldemort didn't even cry out, shocked, his head was reduced to several pieces of different shapes and sizes and the concentration on his curse crumbled. The green light that had begun to form at the tip of his wand dissipated as his headless body fell to the ground in front of his attacker.
[A ruined shelter]
Lily Evans breathed heavily, her heart hammering in her chest as she looked at Severus Snape. The room was almost dark, only lit by a flickering light bulb; the rest of the Potter house must be the same, she thought. Harry's weak crying broke the silence, but Lily couldn't take her eyes off Severus, his face pale and marked by a cold, impenetrable expression.
“James…” Lily whispered, her voice shaking as she desperately searched Snape’s eyes for any sign of hope. “Where is he?”
The answer came like an icy blow.
“He died.” Snape’s voice was harsh, emotionless. His words hung in the air like daggers, sharp and final. “There is no time to mourn him. We must leave before Albus arrives.”
Lily’s fear and pain turned into a burning fury. She took a step back, staring at Severus with a mix of disbelief and rage.
“You did this?” she screamed, her eyes shining with tears. “You told the Dark Lord where we were? You betrayed us!”
For a moment, shock crossed Snape’s face. How could he think that? But logic hit him like a bucket of cold water. Dumbledore. He must have hinted at something to manipulate her further.
“Lily, there is no time for this,” he said, trying to remain calm, though the coldness of his tone remained intact. “It wasn’t like that, but it doesn’t matter now. We must go.”
“I’m not going anywhere with you!” Lily screamed, backing even further towards Harry’s crib. “I will not leave my son!”
Snape’s patience reached its limit. If Lily didn’t see reason, if she continued to doubt him, everything he had done would be in vain. He pulled out his wand with a quick, determined movement.
“Imperio.”
Lily let out a gasp before her body relaxed, her eyes losing the shine of will. Under Snape’s control, her movements became mechanical but docile.
“Take your son,” Snape ordered, his voice softer now, but firm. “And let’s go.”
Lily, expressionless, picked Harry up from the crib, holding him to her chest. The child was still crying, but she didn’t react. Snape quickly approached, taking her free hand as he guided her to the door...but he thought of something and pointed his wand at her and Harry tore at their clothes leaving them naked in an attempt to remove any secret tracker that Albus could use...Snape knew that perhaps everything had already been seen through magic mirrors or lockets according to his newly gained memories or perhaps the waves of magic during the fight interfered or destroyed those objects
The night enveloped Godric's Hollow with a cloak of silence broken only by the crackling of the flames.
Lily Potter a naked widow, with a pale face and glassy eyes, walked down the stairs of her destroyed home. Her steps were hesitant, as if each one of them pushed her closer to an abyss from which she could never return. In front of her, Severus Snape advanced with determination, but not without constantly looking back, evaluating Lily's every movement with cold precision.
As she reached the bottom of the stairs, her eyes met the lifeless body of James. Lily's heart skipped a beat, and an involuntary shiver ran through her body. Though the Imperio curse kept her in check, she couldn't stop a trace of humanity from seeping into her reaction.
Snape noticed. His jaw tensed as he reached out, placing his hand firmly on her shoulder.
"Keep walking," he ordered, his tone low but firm, like a knife cutting the tension in the air. Lily didn't respond, but the contact propelled her forward, compelling her to follow him.
As they crossed the front door, Snape stopped and looked back. The remains of the house were scarred by battle, but there was still too much evidence left. Without hesitation, he raised his wand.
"Incendio perennis."
A malicious fire broke out, quickly consuming the wood, the memories, and any trace of what was once a home. Lily turned her head to watch as everything was reduced to ashes, her empty eyes now shining with orange reflections... it would have been a pleasure to burn Potter's face, reduce him to ashes but what she was doing was not for pleasure, it was for safety, nothing more.
Snape, unfazed, stepped back, his wand still raised. In one swift movement, he summoned the Dark Mark.
“Morsmordre.”
The serpentine skull ascended into the dark sky, casting its terrifying silhouette over the blaze.
“This will distract the Aurors,” he muttered to himself, more to convince himself than to explain to Lily, who remained silent, trapped in a trance that was not entirely her own.
With one last glance, Snape pulled Lily forward into the nearby forest. The confusion and chaos they would leave behind would give them time. And time was all they needed.
The Potter house was no more. Only the smoke rose into the sky, along with the weight of decisions that could not be undone.
The cold night air enveloped them as they moved toward the edge of the forest. Snape did not look back. He knew Lily's world had just fallen apart, but he also knew that his own had been in ruins for years. If he could keep her alive, even under his control, maybe everything would make some sense.
As they crossed the tree line, the question hit him hard. What would he do now? Where could they hide from Voldemort, who even though he no longer had a body could return, or Dumbledore and all those who would seek revenge? For the first time in a long time, Severus Snape did not have all the answers... all he could do was hug Lily's waist, bring her close to his body so she wouldn't feel cold, which was a miserable hypocritical excuse. He wanted to feel her skin, smell her breath again, claim her as his own.
The forest was in darkness, and the silence was only broken by the crunch of leaves under their feet. Severus Snape carried Lily and little Harry with him, advancing cautiously. Although the shadows offered them some shelter, they could not stay there for long.
He stopped short and, after a brief pause, spoke in a low, urgent tone:
“We’re leaving here. There’s no time for questions.”
With a swift movement, he took Lily by the arm and Harry by the other. He closed his eyes, concentrating on a place his mind had pieced together from fragments of memories: a ruined Muggle furniture store, abandoned and forgotten by all.
The sensation of appearing together was violent. Lily could barely breathe when they arrived, staggering as she stepped onto the cold floor of the cellar. Harry burst into tears, his cries echoing in the empty space. Snape looked at him in disgust before turning to Lily.
“Make him calm down.”
Lily, still trying to get over the shock, knelt beside her son. She took Harry in her arms and whispered tenderly to him.
—Shhh, Harry, it's okay, Mummy's here... —Although her hands were shaking, she managed to gently rock him until the exhausted boy finally fell asleep.
Snape watched the scene in silence, a glint of something unreadable in his eyes. Then he raised his wand, pointing it at Lily.
“Now you. We need time, and the only thing you can do to help is rest.”
Lily looked at him suspiciously, but before she could protest, Snape murmured,
“Somnium ensorceller.”
Her eyelids slowly closed as she fell into a deep magical sleep. Snape settled her in a corner next to Harry and stared at them both for a moment. His mind was racing. He needed a plan, and fast.
Meanwhile, in the ruins of the Potter house…
Sirius Black arrived panting, his heart pounding. The heat of the fire was still scorching, but that didn’t stop him.
“JAMES! LILY! HARRY!” he screamed desperately, moving forward until the fire almost touched his skin.
He stood still, staring into the ashes, shaking with rage and pain. It was then that he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned quickly, wand raised, only to be met by the imposing figure of Albus Dumbledore.
Dumbledore's face was grave, but his gaze was not fixed on the ruins. He was staring at the sky, where the Dark Mark still hung ominously.
"This wasn't just Voldemort..." he muttered more to himself than to Sirius.
Sirius, beside himself, interrupted him.
"We have to find them! Maybe they're alive!"
Dumbledore shook his head, his expression grim.
"If someone interfered with Voldemort's plans, it could have changed everything. This was no ordinary attack. My surveillance devices... they were destroyed. Everything has been disturbed."
It was then that Remus Lupin came running, followed by Hagrid.
"What happened?" “Lupin asked, his eyes filled with concern. Hagrid, for his part, looked at the ruins with a mixture of confusion and sadness.
Dumbledore, in a voice that brooked no reply, replied,
“I don’t know, but we’ll find out. And quickly. This doesn’t end here.”
Sirius clenched his fists, his gaze fixed on the ashes, silently swearing that he would find whoever was responsible, no matter the cost.
Peter Pettigrew’s body lay on the ground, an unexpected sight that froze Sirius for a moment. But only a moment. With a cry of fury, he ran towards him, ignoring the still-hot ashes burning his boots.
“Why, Peter?! Why did you betray them?!” he bellowed, his voice cracking between pain and rage.
Behind him, Albus, Remus, and Hagrid rushed forward. Dumbledore and Lupin’s wands were raised, while Hagrid clenched his massive fists so tightly his knuckles turned white.
When they reached the body, the scene was clear. Peter was motionless, his face frozen in an expression of terror, and his torn robes showed a deep gash across his torso. Albus leaned over, examining the corpse carefully, while Remus watched from the side, his breathing ragged.
“A cutting curse,” Albus said, his tone gravelly. His fingers moved precisely over the body, searching for signs of residual magic.
“Who—?” Remus began, but was interrupted by Sirius, whose voice rang with a mix of conviction and hatred.
“Severus!” he growled, standing abruptly.
The name fell like a blow. Everyone heard it clearly, and Albus’ eyes narrowed.
“Severus Snape?” "Dumbledore asked, his voice restrained but laden with foreboding.
Sirius nodded, his eyes burning.
“This is his doing. I know it! He was obsessed with Lily, he hated James… and now, this!” He waved his arm at the ruins and Peter’s corpse.
Remus looked at Albus, waiting for his answer.
“Let’s not jump to conclusions,” the headmaster said, though his tone was less confident than usual. His eyes shone with a mix of worry and calculation…it hadn’t gone as planned maybe Snape intervened but it was before or after the sacrifice was made…it would be best to prepare the Longbottoms if Harry doesn’t survive or the sacrifice wasn’t made Neville will have to be the boy who lived thinks Albus
In the abandoned furniture store, Severus worked in silence, concentrating on his charms.
He had placed a powerful Muggle Repelling Charm around the building. The layers of protection she added were intricate and meticulous, a reminder of her magic prowess…Snape thought it was somewhat ironic that she learned to do that at Hogwarts, the safest place in the world, and not in these times of war.
When he finished, he lay still for a moment, looking at Lily. She was sleeping soundly, her face relaxed under the effect of the haunted sleep. Even in that state, she was beautiful, and a part of him wondered, not for the first time, why she hadn't abandoned the Potter boy.
Severus turned to little Harry, who was also sleeping, wrapped in his mother's arms. The boy wasn't to blame, he knew. But those eyes… Lily's eyes…they pierced him like a dagger every time he saw them, for she bore James a son, not him…Severus pulled his cloak back to cover them like a blanket and watched.
He shook his head, pushing those thoughts away. There was no time for doubt. The fire he had left behind in the Potter house and the Dark Mark were enough to create confusion, but they wouldn't guarantee its safety for long.
"All for Lily," he muttered to himself, adjusting the last charm. Now the furniture store was protected, at least temporarily...but he needed more than that
With a sigh, he sat down in a corner, pulled a calming potion from his robes and drank it in one gulp. He had to plan the next step...an ally, a friend, he thought
Back in the ruins of the Potter house...
Hagrid broke the awkward silence that had formed.
"What if...what if Harry is still alive?" he asked, his voice shaking.
Dumbledore looked up from Peter's corpse.
"It's a possibility we can't rule out. But whoever intervened here doesn't want us to find them easily." His eyes scanned the ashes and the Dark Mark in the sky.
Sirius wasn't convinced.
"It doesn't matter who did it." If it was Severus, we will find him. And if he touched a single hair of Harry or Lily's…" His voice broke, unable to continue.
Dumbledore put a hand on Sirius' shoulder, looking at him seriously.
"If it was Severus, we will know soon enough. But there are other forces at play here, Sirius. Keep a cool head…" It was the advice of the great wizard of light whose dark soul was blacker than the dark lord's in many ways and inside he was worrying that his plan was not unfolding according to his design.
Meanwhile, Remus stood back slightly from the group, his mind working silently. He couldn't help but think that there were missing pieces, and that the answers were closer than they could imagine.
The dim light of dawn filtered through the broken windows of the abandoned furniture store. Severus Snape stood up from his spot, his gaze fixed on Lily. The time had come to face the inevitable. With a flick of his wand, he undid the spell that kept her asleep.
Lily opened her eyes almost immediately. At first, her gaze was unfocused, but as she realized where she was and that she had Harry in her arms, her eyes hardened. She didn't jump or scream, but the tension was palpable.
"Don't worry," Snape said calmly, his deep voice breaking the silence. "He's asleep too. It was necessary."
Lily looked at her son with a mix of relief and annoyance. Although she was grateful that Harry was calm, she couldn't ignore the indignation boiling in her chest. She turned to Severus, her green eyes burning with questions and reproaches...as tears spilled over.
"Why?" she said finally, her voice shaking with a mix of anger and pain. "Why did you do it? We were friends, Severus."
Severus held her gaze, his face expressionless, but his words came out with a sharp edge.
"We were more than friends, Lily. We were lovers."
Lily recoiled slightly, surprised by the rawness of his words.
“That was a long time ago…” she began, but Snape interrupted her, his voice louder now.
“And you betrayed me. You preferred James, Sirius, and Lupin… my tormentors.”
Lily’s expression went from surprise to anger.
“So you decided to take it out on childish squabbles?” she replied indignantly, standing up as she hugged Harry.
Snape let out a bitter laugh.
“Children? Does nearly killing me on several occasions seem like childish play to you?” His tone was acidic, and his dark eyes reflected years of resentment.
Lily was silent for a moment, unable to find an immediate response. Finally, she whispered, with some sadness in her voice:
“You should never have taken that path, Severus. No matter what they did, you could always choose to be better.”
“Better?” he repeated, with a laugh that lacked humor. Everything I've done, I did to protect you. And now…" He paused, looking at Harry with a mix of disgust and resignation. "Now I'm here, looking after Potter's son, because you left me no choice."
Lily looked at him harshly, her hands instinctively tightening around her son.
"Do not blame Harry for your decisions, Severus. He did not ask for this. And I will not allow you to use your hatred of James as an excuse for whatever you plan."
The tension in the air was palpable, each word a blow in an emotional war that had been brewing for years. Snape stepped back, taking a deep breath to calm himself.
"I have no time for your moral judgements, Lily. We need a plan to keep ourselves alive. And that requires us to work together, whether we like it or not."
Lily watched him silently, her mind struggling between rejection and the need to protect Harry. Finally, she nodded coldly.
"For now. But do not think this means I trust you."
“Nor I in you,” Severus replied just as coldly, turning to the door to continue strengthening the protective charms.
The atmosphere in the abandoned furniture store seemed to grow thicker, almost unbreathable, as Severus raised his wand. His voice rang coldly, each word laden with intent.
“I, Severus Tobias Snape, as payment for the life debt you owe me due to the recent events of Halloween, bind you to me in body and magic in eternal servitude. So be it!”
A bright light erupted from the tip of his wand, connecting him to Lily. The glow intensified, enveloping them both as Lily screamed in horror, instinctively hugging Harry as if he could protect her from the magic that now bound her to Severus.
“NO! I will not be your slave!” she screamed, her voice filled with desperation and rage.
Snape, unfazed, took a step towards her. His dark gaze seemed to pierce her soul.
“You are my property now, Lily. I could have demanded your servitude ‘in body, mind and magic’, but… I prefer your mind intact. You will be more useful this way.” He paused, leaning slightly towards her. “And, anyway, you cannot refuse anything.”
Lily glared at him with pure hatred, her green eyes burning with fury. But before she could reply, Severus pressed the tip of his wand to her throat, causing the magical aura surrounding them to glow even brighter.
“You will not lie to me, you will not hide the truth from me, you will not tell me half-truths, you will not divulge my secrets, you will not betray me. You will serve me in all that I ask and need of you. So be it.”
The magic culminated in a blinding flash that slowly dissipated. Lily felt a chill run through her body, as if something inside her had been irrevocably altered.
“Do you understand?” Severus said, his voice low and full of authority.
She couldn’t help but respond. Her voice came out as a whisper, almost inaudible:
“Yes.”
Snape stepped back, putting his wand away in his robes with controlled movements.
“Good. Now, we have much to do.”
Lily remained on the floor, hugging Harry tightly. Though her mind was intact, she felt a constant oppression, as if an invisible chain tightened on her every time she thought of resisting.
“I will never forgive you for this,” she whispered, her eyes tear-filled but still defiant.
Snape didn’t answer immediately. His eyes scanned Lily’s face, searching for something even he wasn’t sure he wanted to find. Finally, he spoke, his tone cold but with a faint trace of something more.
“I do not seek your forgiveness, Lily. Only your obedience.”
He turned to the broken window, looking out at the dawn that was breaking on the horizon. He knew that time was against him. The others would soon find them.
The silence in the abandoned furniture store was oppressive as Severus spoke with a confidence that seemed impenetrable.
“Since we have solved your loyalty problem, we must proceed.” Severus crossed his arms, his gaze fixed on Lily, whose expression was a mix of surprise, fear and resignation.
Lily looked at him without saying anything, holding Harry as if he were her only anchor in this world that was collapsing around her.
“You need a husband, and Harry needs a father. That will be me,” Snape declared, his tone cold and final.
Lily’s heart skipped a beat. She wanted to scream, to refuse, to tell him that would never happen. But something inside her, something enforced by the magic that bound her to him, prevented her from uttering those words. She knew that any attempt at betrayal would be futile, even dangerous.
“You have nothing to say, do you?” Severus added, watching as her silence confirmed what he already knew. A shadow of satisfaction crossed his face.
Lily pressed her lips together, finally finding the courage to whisper,
“This is not right, Severus. It is not right…”
He leaned toward her, his dark eyes studying her intently.
“It may not be right, but it is necessary.”
After a brief silence, Severus straightened up and quickly changed the subject, as if what he had just declared was simply a formality.
“For the moment, I need to go to Lucius Malfoy.”
Lily looked at him suspiciously, her heart racing at the mention of that name.
“Why?” she asked, her tone cautious but unable to completely hide her uneasiness.
Severus gave a slight smile, more pragmatic than sincere.
“Because he has a son. Draco is his weakness, and for him, Lucius would be willing to betray the Dark Lord if it guaranteed him a future. He will be a good ally.”
“Ally? For what? Voldemort is dead.” Lily tried to hold on to that idea, almost desperate to believe that at least one threat had disappeared.
Severus looked at her with a mixture of disdain and something akin to pity.
“Not entirely, future Mrs. Snape.” His words were cold and sharp. “The Dark Lord is anchored to the earthly world. He has horcruxes. He can return.”
The weight of those words fell on Lily like a bucket of ice water. Her breathing quickened, and a feeling of helplessness washed over her.
“For now, stay here and don’t try anything rash.” Severus moved toward the door, pausing a moment to look at her over his shoulder. “You can’t escape. The magic won’t allow it.”
Before Lily could respond, he disappeared in a swirl of his cloak, and a moment later, the sound of his footsteps faded into the distance.
Lily was left alone with Harry in the cold, desolate furniture store. She looked at her son, her only reason for staying strong, and wished more than anything to find a way out of this situation. But the spell that bound her to Severus was an invisible, unbreakable prison. Trying to run away would be betrayal, and betrayal was not an option.
She sat on the floor, hugging Harry tightly as silent tears rolled down her face. She couldn't allow her spirit to break, but the fear and despair were almost unbearable.
Severus landed gracefully on the grounds of the stately and opulent Malfoy Manor. Golden lights glittered in the windows, and the sound of laughter and toasts filled the air. The death of the Potters had sparked celebration among the Dark Lord's followers, though some were somewhat bemused at the absence of their leader.
With his cloak billowing behind him, Snape moved forward, heedless of the curious glances or murmurs that followed him. His goal was clear: to find Lucius Malfoy.
In the center of the hall, Lucius was surrounded by a group of admirers. His impeccably coiffed, patina-blond hair gleamed under the light of the crystal chandeliers. Noticing Severus approaching, he raised an eyebrow in curiosity, but greeted him with the usual cool courtesy.
"Severus, what a surprise to see you here. Are you here to celebrate the fall of our enemies?" “Lucius asked in a nonchalant tone, though his shrewd eyes were scanning his friend.
“I don’t have time for merrymaking, Lucius,” Severus replied firmly. “I need your help with some specific potion supplies.”
Lucius cocked his head, clearly suspicious.
“I can handle that by sending someone else. There’s no need for me to get personally involved.”
“It is,” Severus insisted, his gaze intense. “I need you to come with me.”
Severus’s sharp tone caught Lucius’ attention, who frowned slightly. Something didn’t fit. Without further questions, he agreed, though suspicion was reflected in his eyes.
“Very well. But this had better be important, Severus.”
They both discreetly left the room and headed to Snape’s private laboratory. Once inside, Severus closed the door with a wave of his wand and cast several privacy charms, making sure no one could hear them.
Without a word, Severus brought his wand to his temple and drew out a silver thread of memories, carefully placing it in a Pensieve he had prepared long ago in that spot. Lucius watched intently, his curiosity mixed with a growing unease.
“Look,” Severus ordered in a deep voice.
Lucius leaned into the Pensieve and let the memories wash over him. He saw the truth Severus was showing him: the fall of the Dark Lord, the Horcruxes that anchored him to the world, and the dangerous future that awaited them. He also saw Albus Dumbledore in a completely different light, not as the revered leader of the Order of the Phoenix, but as a ruthless manipulator with his own hidden agenda.
When Lucius emerged from the Pensieve, his face was pale, and his usual composure had been replaced by a mixture of shock and concern.
“You... you killed him.” “Lucius’s voice was barely a whisper, but there was no reproach in his words, only disbelief.
“It was necessary,” Severus replied, crossing his arms as he looked at him sternly. “But it’s not over. Voldemort is not truly dead. He will return. And when he does, we will need to be prepared.”
Lucius was silent for a long moment, his grey eyes fixed on Severus as he processed what he had just seen and heard. Finally, he inhaled deeply and straightened his shoulders.
“And Dumbledore…” he began, his voice firmer now. “If what you say is true, he is just as dangerous as the Dark Lord, if not more so.”
“He is.” Severus looked at him intently. “So tell me, Lucius, what will you do now with what you know?”
Lucius looked him straight in the eyes, his countenance regaining its characteristic haughtiness.
“We will do whatever it takes, Severus.” I will join you. But know this: if we plan to take on both Voldemort and Dumbledore, we will need allies. And that will not be easy.
Severus nodded slowly, knowing Lucius was right. He had taken a big step in telling him the truth, but the path ahead was fraught with risk and betrayal.
“Then we will begin to plan. Survival is no longer enough, Lucius. Now, we must win.”
The alliance had begun, fragile but powerful. They both knew the future depended on their ability to play their cards precisely on a board filled with enemies in all directions.
Severus appeared in the ruined furniture store with firm steps, his cloak billowing behind him, carrying a change of clothes and a dark flask in his hands. Lily, still holding Harry, looked at him with a mixture of resignation and exhaustion. Her eyes were swollen from crying, but she had learned that resisting would change nothing.
“Lily, we will head to Gringotts,” Severus said bluntly as he placed the clothes on a broken table. “You will take everything valuable from the Potter and Evans accounts.” Then we will marry right there in the vault.
Lily pressed her lips together, but the magic that bound her to Snape did not allow her to say anything beyond the inevitable.
“Yes.”
Tears rolled down her cheeks again, and Severus regarded her coldly, though for a moment his expression softened. He had no time to comfort her, but he knew she needed him to understand, at least partially, why all of this was necessary.
He stepped closer to her, and before she could back away, he looked her straight in the eyes. His wand glowed faintly as he sent a surge of information straight into her mind.
In an instant, Lily saw a series of shocking memories:
The Invisibility Cloak that James had inherited was not a Potter heirloom, as she had been told, but a creation of Dumbledore who had given it to him in secret anonymously. There was a map that allowed him to spy on anyone within Hogwarts. James and Sirius had used the cloak for years to torment Severus, unaware that their movements were constantly watched. James had lost his wand because Dumbledore had secretly taken it, further weakening his chances of defending himself on the fateful Halloween night. The locket and mirror that Lily had considered simple school mementos were actually spy tools that Dumbledore had used to follow the Potter family's every move. Finally, the most devastating: Dumbledore had planned James' deaths and his own, all to manipulate Harry and turn him into a weapon against Voldemort.
As the memories faded, Lily froze, her face a mix of disbelief, fury, and pain.
“How… how could he do this?” she whispered, barely able to process what she had just seen.
Severus didn’t answer right away, simply placing the vial of Polyjuice potion in front of her.
“We don’t have time to discuss it now. Take this. We need to be discreet.”
Lily hesitated, but couldn’t disobey him as she took the vial with trembling hands. She drank the potion, feeling her body change. Her reddish hair turned dark as night, and her green eyes transformed into a deep black. She looked like a completely different woman now, with ordinary features that wouldn’t draw attention.
Severus took another vial and drank it, his appearance changing drastically. His skin cleared, his hair turned reddish and messy, and he took on an air reminiscent of a member of the Weasley family.
“Done.” —Severus handed her the change of clothes he had brought. —You will wear these clothes, put them on quickly.
Lily obeyed silently, her movements mechanical as she tried not to think about what was happening.
—Now let's go, —Severus said, extending a hand towards her for a joint Apparition. Lily reluctantly took his hand, clinging to Harry with the other.
In an instant, they were gone, leaving only the echo of their footsteps and the cold feeling that their lives would never be the same.
The echo of their footsteps echoed off the marble of the imposing Gringotts bank as Severus and Lily, still disguised by Polyjuice Potion, moved forward with determination. Despite their changed appearances, their bearing and the urgency in their movements did not go unnoticed by the goblins, whose shrewd eyes watched them warily.
Severus approached the main counter, where a questioning-looking goblin looked up from a heavy ledger.
“We need to access our vaults and conduct some official business,” Severus stated coldly.
The goblin narrowed his eyes, studying the two visitors.
“Names and reasons for access,” he rasped, his long nails drumming on the counter.
“Lily Potter, née Evans, and Severus Snape. You may verify our identities by a blood test if you deem it necessary.” Severus’ tone was curt, making it clear that he would tolerate no delay.
The mention of a blood test seemed to catch the goblin’s attention, and he gestured to two assistants who escorted them to separate chambers. They used a magical device to draw a drop of blood from each, which floated into the air before being absorbed by an enchanted scroll. Both of their full, true names appeared in glowing letters, confirming their identities.
When they returned, the goblins nodded and led them to the vaults.
Lily entered the Potter vault first. Her eyes filled with tears as she saw her family’s legacy: mountains of gold, chests filled with jewels, ancient magical books, and carefully stored family heirlooms. Remembering Severus' orders, he focused on the practical, selecting items of immediate value: gold, some crucial magical books, and jewelry that could be useful as currency in the future.
In Severus' vault, though more modest in comparison, there was a considerable sum for someone of his background. Gold accumulated over the years and some magical items inherited from the Prince side of his family or rather stolen by his mother that in the end were not useful to him as a dark magician but in these times they would be for him. Severus did not hesitate to collect everything useful, making sure not to leave anything behind.
When they both returned to the main hall, Severus made one last request:
—We want to perform a magical union. Here and now.
The head goblin raised an eyebrow in surprise, but his face soon became impassive.
—That has an additional cost, but it is not a problem. The personal details do not interest us.
Severus nodded, taking out a bag of gold to cover the fees.
The ritual was brief and efficient, just as the goblins preferred. They sealed the magical documents that made the marriage between Severus Snape and Lily Potter official. With a wave of his hand, the goblin confirmed the match and added Lily Snape’s name to the official records.
“Now, Madam Snape,” Severus said, his voice neutral but full of intent, “everything is in order.”
Before he left, Severus shared one more detail with the goblins:
“Incidentally, my mother was a Prince. While I am not a legitimate heir under my maternal grandfather’s laws, I am the only living descendant who can claim the Prince fortune. The blood test should have corroborated that.”
The goblin nodded, showing a mix of interest and respect.
“Indeed. According to our checks, you are entitled to that inheritance. We will process the claim and add it to your account in the next few hours.”
With everything settled, Severus and Lily left Gringotts, both of them in a tense silence. Lily, now officially Lily Snape, walked with her eyes downcast, trying to process what had just happened. Severus, for his part, kept his expression impassive, already planning his next moves.
“We can’t afford mistakes, Lily,” he finally said, as they left Diagon Alley. “What we’ve done today is just the first step.”
Severus held Lily’s hand firmly as they walked down a path surrounded by thick trees. In front of them stood a modest but elegant house, built of grey stone and surrounded by a small, unkempt garden. It was an old Prince estate, not a grand mansion, but it had everything needed to provide them with shelter while Severus formally claimed his mother’s full inheritance.
Lily couldn’t stop thinking about her baby. Every fiber of her being wanted to hold Harry, to make sure he was safe, but the magical bond that tied her to Severus prevented her from acting on her own. However, Severus was quick to notice her anxiety.
“You’ll have him in your arms soon, Lily,” he said, though his tone was more functional than comforting.
Reaching the house, Severus opened the door with a wave of his wand and led them inside. The place was dusty but structurally sound, with antique furniture and heavy curtains that blocked out the light. He stopped in the main room, deposited Harry in a small bassinet he had conjured, and spoke a name in a clear, authoritative voice:
“Dobby!”
With a loud pop, the house-elf appeared in front of them, wearing an old pillowcase and staring at Severus with his big green eyes. Dobby was nervous, clearly used to the Malfoys' harsh treatment, but when he recognized Lily, his expression changed to a mix of surprise and adoration.
“Mr. Snape called Dobby! Dobby looked after young Harry Potter, yes, he looked after him well!” the elf exclaimed, extending his small hands towards Lily, who watched as he handed the baby over with the utmost care.
Lily, with tears in her eyes, held Harry against her chest, her breathing shaky as she checked that he was safe and sound. Harry, still sleepy, snuggled up against her, oblivious to all the chaos around them.
“My Lady Snape,” Dobby said, bowing deeply towards Lily, “Dobby is a good elf. He looked after young Harry well.”
Severus nodded approvingly, crossing his arms.
“Good job, Dobby.” I have brought you here because, in the future, your loyalty to Harry will be unwavering. But before that, I need you to be useful to us now.
The elf nodded quickly, his ears twitching with excitement.
“Dobby will do whatever Mr. Snape says! Whatever Mrs. Snape needs!”
Severus looked at Lily and then at Dobby seriously.
“Good. The first thing will be to clean this house and make sure it is fully protected with charms. No one must find this place.”
Dobby clapped his small hands together, and within seconds the dust and mess were gone. The windows were cleaned, the curtains were adjusted, and the house looked much more welcoming.
Meanwhile, Lily sat in an old but comfortable chair, hugging Harry tightly. Her mind was filled with questions and fears, but at that moment, the relief of having her son in her arms was the only thing that mattered.
Severus watched the scene for a moment, allowing himself a brief moment of calm before speaking.
“This will be our temporary shelter.” Lily, I'll need your help to prepare what's necessary before we leave the country. We're officially a family in the eyes of the wizarding world now, and we need to act as such.
Lily looked at him with a mixture of hatred and resignation, but also with the understanding that she had no choice. Her priority was to protect Harry, and to do so, she had to obey.
Severus turned his attention to Dobby.
“From now on, you are the elf of this house. You will have no other master. Protect this family as a good elf would.”
Dobby, with tears in his eyes, nodded vehemently.
“Dobby will protect young Harry Snape and the Snape family! Dobby promises!”
Severus nodded, satisfied, and began to plan the next steps as night fell over his new home.
Lily sat in the room she now shared with Severus, her hands shaking as she caressed an old letter her first husband had given her years ago. Its content was not important, what mattered was the memories it brought back. Her heart was divided between pain and bewilderment. Everything had happened so fast that she could barely process it.
James, her James, had died defending Harry. Her heroic sacrifice should have been enough to protect her son, but it wasn't. Voldemort had fallen at Snape's hand, but not before destroying her world. And now, Severus was at her side, a man who had made her his slave for the life debt she owed him and also promised to love her in a way she had never imagined, although she didn't know if he could reciprocate those feelings...but if he wanted to claim her she couldn't deny him
It was all too much. The truth Severus had revealed to her about Albus Dumbledore had left her frozen. How could the man who had been her mentor, someone she trusted blindly, have orchestrated such a plan? Using Harry as a tool, as a disposable weapon, was something Lily couldn't forgive...just to impose his vision of what the magic of the light was
Now she and Snape were married, and although the ceremony had been cold and quick, Severus had insisted that the goblins keep the act a secret. Her paranoia was not unfounded; Lily knew that Dumbledore would stop at nothing to regain control over Harry and, therefore, over them... that same day Albus arrived at the bank to take control of the Potters' account and property and the bank's goblins refused Dumbledore's demands to freeze the Potter accounts when he asked for an explanation they did not say anything and their glances crossed like swords but the wizard just left without causing a scandal and furious but determined to find out why another part of his plan was not being executed as it should
The goblins informed the Snape couple about what had happened by sending a letter through Malfoy apart from affirming their discretion regarding their marriage, they did not tell Dumbledore anything it was a small consolation.
The now Mrs. Snape was happy to thwart Albus' machinations But even that came with a price. Severus had ordered her to remove everything valuable from the Potter and Evans accounts, making sure that Dumbledore couldn't touch anything... after all, he had a great influence in the magical community, it would only be a matter of time before his old hands landed on the Potter fortune.
As Lily pondered, her gaze drifted to the small trunk that Doby had brought from the Potter vault. In it were the memories of her previous life: photos, jewelry, and the last gift James had given her. With a sigh, she closed her eyes. Her life had changed forever, and now she was caught in an intricate web of secrets, betrayals, and decisions that seemed to always be someone else's.
"For Harry," she muttered to herself, like a mantra. For her son, she would endure anything, even this strange marriage to Severus, even the constant shadow of Dumbledore. The coming war was not just against the remnants of Voldemort's legacy; It was a war for his son, for his family, and for the truth.
Albus Dumbledore stood in his office, his face furrowed in a mixture of disbelief and frustration. He had tried multiple methods to contact Severus Snape, but each had failed. Finally, he decided to resort to what he considered his ace in the hole: the Unbreakable Vow Snape had made to protect the Potters.
With his wand in hand, he activated the spell that should force Snape to appear before him or, at the very least, generate a reaction that would confirm his control over the man. However, nothing happened. Not a flash, not a hint of activation. The oath was, apparently, broken. Dumbledore leaned back in his chair, his blue eyes dark with suspicion.
"Dark magic," he muttered to himself, his fingers drumming on the arm of his chair. "It must be dark magic that has allowed this. Severus has always been a complicated man, but to break an Unbreakable Vow... that is unheard of. What kind of tricks has he used?"
However, what Albus didn't know was that Severus Snape, at that moment, was perfectly aware of the futile attempts at communication... apart from the fact that he was looking at him right now, one of the first things he ordered Doby to do was to put up a series of fish eyes and mirrors that had the same spy charms that Albus used.
He told Doby clearly that he should be careful not to be seen by the house elves of the castle, since they were not part of the hive so to speak, they would alert him to his presence. If the ghosts, paintings and other wizards saw him, it would not be something that would attract their attention since he was just another elf.
Doby fulfilled his mission
Severus was reviewing the protective barrier he had erected around his new life with Lily and Harry, it was almost impenetrable. As he looked through some documents in his private office, a slight smile curved his lips as he imagined Dumbledore's confusion.
"Breaking an Unbreakable Oath?" Snape muttered to himself with a hint of mockery. "It wasn't even valid in the first place. Did he really think I would keep a promise whose purpose was to protect Potter when he never offered me anything tangible in return? Albus, you deluded old fool, always living in his world of fantasies and manipulations."
The oath that Dumbledore had accepted from Snape had actually been voided by Albus himself who was behind it all. The main clause, that of protecting the Potters, was conditional on Albus fulfilling his part of the agreement: guaranteeing Lily's safety, which compromised his plans. had nullified any obligation on Snape's part.
While Albus racked his brains trying to understand what had gone wrong, Snape continued with his plans. Now married to Lily and under the protection of the goblins, he was freer than ever to act against the former headmaster. Lily and Harry were his priority, and everything else could wait.
Deep down, Snape felt a strange pleasure in imagining Dumbledore's bewilderment, who was surely torn between his wounded pride and the need to regain control. However, Severus knew that the real war had only just begun. And this time, he would not play as a mere pawn nor would Lily be a sacrifice; she was his property and no one harms his property.
With the night came the time for Lily to fulfill her duties to Snape... Well, my beloved wife, it is time to celebrate our wedding night, no, no, Severus, you cannot do that... James... Lily tries to say, only to be interrupted by Severus... James... what? He's dead or do you mean I should honor his memory so I would do that for fucking James?
Take off your clothes and lie down on the bed, Snape ordered her dryly. Lily, unable to avoid it or delayed in some way, proceeded to undress to lie down, then waiting for Severus' next move, which was with his hands running over her bare thighs and then squeezing her bare hips, and soft lips brushed hers while a muscular chest pressed against her breasts. He kissed her on the neck, causing Lily to emit sounds of pleasure that mortified her, how could she do that? How could she betray James, the man she loved, married, and had a son with.
Suddenly her memory took her to the year 1976 in the forbidden forest where she fucked with almost all the marauders except that damn traitor Pettigrew... Severus thanks to director Albus saw them according to what he shared from his memories as well as Peter who felt betrayed and abandoned by his friends and that makes him feel guilty, now he is only a property of Severus to use as he wants.
She loved kisses. They warmed her private parts and then she moaned loudly when a huge cock rammed into her pussy. Lily screamed as Severus rammed hard into her, his hips slamming into her pert ass.
James or some of his friends couldn't fill her like Snape did, pleasure mixed with guilt as she finally allowed herself to have the huge orgasm she had been holding back. Her feminine juices splashed all over her body as she spasmed wildly, her sexy, nubile body glistening with sweat... a long, powerful orgasm for the redhead but Snape wanted more, and he saw the lust and love in her eyes. Which was heartbreaking, she only had love in her eyes for James and lust for him. He kissed her breasts as she wouldn't let herself be won over by a dead man of whom there was nothing left to even feed the worms.
Severus watches Lily with greedy eyes, his mind plotting sinister plans. He knows that the life debt she owes him gives him absolute power over her will.
My dear Lily, he whispers, his voice velvety and seductive. You are mine, by right. His hand closes around her wrist, squeezing tightly. And I will do as I please with you.
Without further ado, he pushes her against the wall, kissing her with overwhelming passion. Lily shivers, but there is nothing she can do to stop him.
You are my property, Severus growls, his lips trailing down her neck. And I will use your body as I see fit.
His hands roam over Lily's body, caressing every curve with unabashed possessiveness. She moans, her will broken by the debt weighing on her.
Tell me, my love, Severus whispers, his fingers slipping beneath her skirt. What other ways can I find to... take advantage of your generous status?
Without waiting for a response, he sinks his fingers into her intimacy, drawing a cry from Lily's lips. She squirms, but Severus holds her tightly.
Your body belongs to me, Lily. He growls, his thrusts becoming more intense. And I will use it as I please.
Lily closes her eyes, knowing there is no escape. Severus owns her, and she has no choice but to submit to his depraved desires...but for some reason there is a part of her that enjoys it as if a long-awaited wish were being fulfilled.
Ah! Ha... ah... Haa! Ha..! Lily let out of her mouth as Snape began to suckle from her right breast and after a long time the Death Eater tasted the breast milk without remorse or disgust.
Severus' fingers moved in circles inside Lily's vagina as he remembered every fold of her interior. AH! Ha Nh the redhead's body shudders when Severus touches her G-spot...Ngh! she came through Snape's fingers
Nh Nh! Nh! and a He he! escaped from Lily Snape's lips which made Severus curious because he thought it would be months until he managed to subdue her with sex... what wonders magical servitude does he thought
AAAAHUU was the next thing the ex-widow said when her new husband penetrated her again AFHUU... OHOH... O... Severus' hip movement is continuous and powerful until he stops and with his thumb presses his wife's clitoris !AFH! NHI... to continue hitting the baby's room !AH! !AH! !AH! I'm cumming I'm cumming I'm going to cum... !AH! !AH! !AH! That's how it was again she spilled her love juices all over the sheet
We'll do it again Severus ordered he didn't ask... Uu Ah... he felt again the movement of Severus' Penis to whom years ago he gave his virginity AAH...HA! NOOO she screams when Snape shifts her position so she sits on him and he hugs her tightly around the waist before bending her over and sticking a thumb up her ass.
Agh Ah Agh!...the lioness screams as the dungeon bat mounts her vigorously until they both reach climax to rest a little, which gives Lily time to notice something in her lord and master
Lily contemplated the thoughtful face of Severus, her now husband, and it distressed her to know that deep in his gaze there were still shadows of the past. The silence that followed was not uncomfortable, but full of meaning. The wounds of the past would not heal from one day to the next, the love that he told her he had for her was inserted or not pure... what do you mean James saved himself and his friends and not you... Snape told her that Black, angry because Mulciber was not expelled for the incident with Mary Macdonald, decided to play a joke on him using Lupin at the time he was transformed into a werewolf, that could have killed him and James did not want to be in prison so he intervened, then the director forbade him to tell it and what could someone without money or a good last name like them do?
Lily felt her heart shrink as she listened to every word of Severus. Although she knew many of the stories of his time at Hogwarts, this one was completely new to her. She looked at her husband's face, marked by a resentment that seemed to have been buried deep in the years, but now resurfaced with force.
"Severus..." she whispered, searching for the right words, but he did not let her continue.
“You don’t need to pity me, Lily,” Severus said firmly, though his eyes betrayed repressed pain. “I just wanted you to know the truth. James was no hero. He did what he had to do to protect himself and his friends. I was just… collateral damage… a sacrificial piece for Albus who despises and condemns anyone from Slytherin.
Lily swallowed, trying to process everything she had heard. She had known James as a changed man in his later years, but the Severus who spoke now was the wounded boy who had grown up with her, the one who had endured humiliations and slights that she had not always managed to stop… he showed her that James and Sirius continued to harass him until the last day at Hogwarts.
“I didn’t know anything about that… You never told me,” she said finally, feeling a lump in her throat.
“And what would have changed?” Severus asked in a dry tone. You would still see him as the man who won your heart... the one who shared you with the horny dogs of his friends who you sucked their cocks by your own decision
Hehehe Snape laughs dryly after all they didn't use love or lust potions on you you just chose them and not me earning yourself a good last name and position with that
Lily looked down, feeling guilty in a way she couldn't explain.
"Sev... I... I never wanted you to feel like you weren't enough for me," she murmured, reaching for his hand.
He sighed deeply, letting his hard facade fall for a moment.
—I won't trust you Lily. It's about what I lost. My decisions, my mistakes, was believing in you, that you would be faithful to me, that you loved me enough to be by my side but now you are tied by a debt to me and I will not free you especially in this war that has just begun
Lily squeezed his hand tightly, looking into his eyes.
—But now you do have me, Severus. We are here. Together. I can't change the past, but I promise I will be with you to face whatever comes.
He didn't answer immediately, but his gaze seemed to soften...But in her mind she knew she was bound by the debt, no doubt she would have left long ago cursing him and swearing revenge for the death of her beloved husband
—Maybe... maybe that's the only thing that matters now —she said finally, with a lower tone, almost vulnerable...she didn't want to ruin the moment even though it felt false
Silence settled between them, but this time it wasn't uncomfortable. It was a space for both of them to reflect on the wounds they still carried with them and the difficulties they would have to face together.
Meanwhile at Hogwarts Dumbledore consulted every book of dark magic or rather those he considered dark to find out how Snape managed to free himself from the unbreakable oath without finding anything useful, nor was he able to locate Lily or Harry by normal means or rather common magical means...but why?
If you asked a certain dark wizard he would say that it was a good move to change their last name, magic can be very rigid, a variation no matter how small would interfere or nullify the execution...Snape knew that well when the marauders messed up his work as a joke although that took him to the infirmary more than once
Severus let his wife rest and looked at James' son sleeping although his father was an arrogant pig he would not allow Albus to turn Lily's son into a pig for sacrifice but perhaps it is good to give him some brothers which draws a big smile on his face
