Most people assumed that Hermione hated Quidditch. The truth was she actually loved it. Loved the action of the game itself, the screams from the fans as their favorite player performed well. Most of all, she loved a Quidditch player.
She loved how he looked in his uniform and she had to admit that after a game he looked sexy as hell. He looked hot all sweaty and his hair windblown. The best part was heading to the showers and stripping him down and giving him a shower. They had the best times all soapy and slippery.
She never missed a game of his and she was always the one to yell the loudest when he blocked the Quaffle.
She was always there when his team lost a game, especially the one time they missed out on making the Quidditch World Cup. She supported him and loved him through it all.
One day, Oliver had to make a choice, Quidditch or Hermione.
His first game of the new season was just two hours away and something came up that would cause him to miss the game. He didn't really have a choice in the matter, really. There was nothing for it, but to floo the coach and tell him he would have to forfeit the game or send in his substitute.
The coach was none too pleased. The new player, who was Oliver's sub, was untried and they needed a win. When he heard of the reason behind Oliver not being able to play, he sent his player on with best wishes.
Oliver gathered Hermione up in his arms and awkwardly grabbed for the floo powder. "Don't worry about anything, luv. I wouldn't miss this for anything in the world." Oliver assured Hermione in his thick Scottish brogue.
He threw down the powder and clearly stated their destination.
As he exited the floo in St. Mungos, he was surprised by the sight of his team standing within the lobby with huge smiles on their faces. The coach stepped up and patted Oliver on the shoulder. We wanted to stop and wish you and Hermione the best before heading for the pitch.
The team said their good wishes one at a time and handed Hermione a large soft pink teddy bear before they left for the apparition point inside the hospital.
Oliver smiled down at Hermione before carrying her off to the O.B. floor inside the hospital.
Yes, he decided Quidditch could wait. The best moment of his life was to include a new baby daughter, not a Quaffle or Snitch.
