"Carlos" Mal calls walking up to him. "Whats up" He asks. "Can I talk to you about something" She says. "Yea" He says "Not um not out here though" She tells him looking around. When they get into Mals room Carlos asks "What is it M" "I think I like someone but ive only liked one person before and... and... and..." She says her voice starting to break "Hey its okay take some breaths now and what" He says attempting to calm her down. "And its a girl" She says putting her face into the pillow. "Thats ok but why did you come to me" He says sitting next to her bed. "Because I dont know I just knew I could trust you I guess" She says sitting up wiping her face. "Hey look at me its okay to tell you the truth im dating a boy" He says grabbing her hands. "Thanks C" She says hugging him. "No problem" He says "But dont think im going to move past you dating someone" She says chuckling a little. "Oh yea" He says snickering. "Now who" She asks. "Ben" He says smiling "Wait as in King Ben" She asks surprised. "Yes that Ben" He says. "Kinda figured he was some type of gay but this is still a surprise to me" Mal tells him "Why'd you think that" He asks the purple headed girl. "It was kinda obvious when we first got here while all the boys were staring at me and E he was staring you and while all the boys where gawking about how pretty the cheerleaders were I could hear him gabbing to someone about how handsome someone was and that he would definitely date him and stuff like that." Mal explains. "Wait you noticed all that in how long" He asked "Um when we first got here to the third game we went to" She tells him, "so about 3-4 weeks" "Ok wow but back to your situation who is it" He asks her "Well..." She pauses "Well its haha its Audrey" She continues nervously. "As in 'I hate your fucking guts' Audrey" He asks "Yes C that Audrey" She says flopping backwards onto the bed. Knock Knock. "Come on in" Mal calls to the person outside the door. Audrey walks in followed by Ben. "Hey whats up" Mal asks looking at the two visiters in her room. "I don't know and don't really care either Ben wanted to come here" Audrey says looking down at her phone. Carlos whispers to Mal "I don't see how you like her" She elbows him and says, "Shut up C" "Sorry for the intrusion but someone told me that Carlos was in here" Ben states "Hey M" Evie says walking into the room and sitting on her bed. "Hey E" She responds. At lunch Evie, Jay, Carlos, and Mal meet up. "Mal your staring at her" Carlos whispers "No im not" She responds not diverting her attention. "Mal what are you staring at" Jay asks "Told you" Carlos says. Mal kicks him then responds to Jay "Nothing" she says turning her head. Meanwhile at Audreys table. "Is she still looking" Audrey asks. "No, Jay and Carlos got her attention" Jane says. Audrey sighs and puts her head down. "Whats wrong Audrey" Lonnie asks. "I don't know I just don't feel right" Audrey says, "i'll be back im gonna run to the restroom." When she gets there she sees Mal who was brushing her hair. Audrey feels her face start to get hot so she rushes past Mal and into the stall. "what is wrong with me" She whispers to herself. After about 10 minutes Mal knocks on the door and says "Audrey are you ok" "Im fine" "Ok well um see ya later" She says walking away. "Mal wait" Audrey calls. "Yea" She says turning 'round. Audrey comes out of the stall and catches up to Mal. They start to talk as they walk to their seperate tables. When they reached the lunch field they said bye and went to their tables. "Oh~" Carlos whispered to her. Mal's face went red then she said "Shut up C" burying her face in her hands. "Audrey why were you talking to her" One of the girls says. "Yeah shes a villain kid shes practically evil" Another one says. "She isnt that bad" Audrey says smiling at her food. Jane scoots closer to her and whispers to her "Your so obvious Drey" "What do you mean" She says looking genuinely confused. "Haha your hopeless" Jane says. After school was over the four VKs went to the field to sit down. 20 minutes later Jane, Lonnie, and Audrey came up to them. "Hey yall" Lonnie says waving. "Hey Audrey" Mal says not hearing Evies calls to her. "Hey Mal" She says sitting down next to her. "Mal, Evies calling you" Audrey says pointing "Huh oh what" Mal says turning her head. "Wheres my brush" she asks "here" Mal says handing her the brush. "Hey guys" Ben says walking up to the group. Mal kicks Carlos who was to busy talking to Jay to notice his boyfriend walking up. "Hey Ben" Carlos says. Ben sits next to Carlos. "Audrey" Ben says as he tosses her something. "Thanks Ben" She says catching it. "No problem" "Whats that" Evie asks. "Just something I asked Ben to get for me" She answers. "Mal, what do you wanna do for your birthday" Lonnie asks. "I dont know we never really celebrated birthdays on the isle" Carlos whispers something to Mal and her face went bright red. "Carlos no I should hit you for that" "But im so innocent" He says teasingly. Mal laughs and Evie asks "What did you say Carlos" "Something we talked about earlier" He says looking at Mal. "Come on why cant you tell us" Evie pleads. "It aint up to me" Carlos says "No" Mal says laying on her back. "You always tell me everything now its all mystery" Evie says giving a dramatic performance. The whole group laughs "Not all mystery Evie" She says tapping her pin on her leather jacket. "What does that pin mean" Jane asked. The four VKs look at eachother. Mal answers her with "It changes color based on my feelings" "Not just any feelings, feelings of love" Evie says dramatically fake fainting. "Love?" Audrey says. "Yea like if she likes someone it turns pink but if shes in love it turns red" Jay says. "but its red now" Lonnie points out. Mal buries her face in her hands and groans. "So in love huh M" Carlos says. "Carlos shut up" Mal says looking up, "Your not helping." "Not meant to and im gonna keep it up til you tell them" He says bumping her shoulder. "Guess you gonna keep it up cause that aint happening no time soon" She says looking at the clouds. "Who is it" Jay asks. "Well" Mal drags out. "Yea M" Evie says. "I really cant say" Mal says. "You cant say but i can" Carlos says. "Its A-" he starts but is cut off by Mal covering his mouth. "If you dont shut up I will send Snowie after you" Mal says. "Whos Snowie" Audrey asks "My puppy" Mal says "That dog is not a puppy" Carlos says "Yes she is shes only 2 1/2 months old so shes a puppy" Mal tells him. "No she isnt shes a full grown Pomski" "She is not" "Whats a Pomski" Jane says "A Pomeranian and a Husky" Jay says. "Cool" Audrey says. "No not cool her dog hates me" Carlos says "She does not hate you" Mal says, "just doesnt trust you yet" "Ok but where did you get her" Jay asks "A gift but um other than that no idea" "HEYY WATCH OUT" someone yelled from across the field. "Doug, why is he here I thought he was dogsitting" Evie says "He is or was I guess" Mal says. "Mal" Doug says out of breath, "She got loose shes coming" "Good Hades Doug how" Mal says standing up. "I dont know I was reading and next thing I know shes chasing me" Doug says catching his breath. "I got her dont worry" Mal says walking towards the running dog, "Snow Heel!" The dog stops and starts wagging her tail. "Hey baby" Mal says petting her. Snowie walks over to Audrey and barks at Mal then wags her tail. "Snowie c'mere girlie" Mal calls but Snowie just sits there. "Hi" Audrey says sitting up. "Your a pretty little thing arent you." "She has pearly white coat" Ben says, "Just like Carlos' hair" "Yall are so obvious" Mal says "I dont what your talking about" Carlos says attempting to wrestle Mal. "How many times are we gonna do this I always win" Mal says putting Carlos in a Sleeper Hold, "Give in" "Never you know this" He says flipping out of the hold. "Ok ok thats enough" Lonnie says breaking the two apart. "Hi children" Fairy godmother says appearing next to the blanket. "Hello Fairy Godmother" They respond. "What is it you need" Mal says. "You, Ben, and Carlos" She says. "What why" Carlos asks standing. "Because it seems you three have been in violation to rule 45-A6 'An official resident of Auradon is NOT to have any romantical feelings or relationships to someone of the same gender'" She says. "But mother thats not fair thats clearly not true" Jane protests. "No it's ok Jane its fine" Mal says. "But-" Jane starts but is cut off. "Me and Carlos are in violation" Ben says grabbing Carlos' hand. "But it aint fair why is that a rule" Lonnie says walking up to Jane's side and secretly grabbing her hand. "I don't know I came here on orders from Ben's father" Fairy Godmother says. Snowie steps in front of Audrey and starts barking at Fairy Godmother. "Hey shhh what are you doing" Audrey says bending down. "Audrey what is going on" Fairy Godmother asks looking at her. "I don't know" Audrey says looking at the dog. "Snow what is it girlie" Mal says. She barks at Mal and jumps on Audrey. "Snowflake what are you doing" Mal says pulling her off. "I am so sorry Audrey" Mal says holding her dog. "Its fine" Audrey says brushing herself off. "Doug take this and get her back to her cage" Mal says handing him a dog whistle. "Ok" He says blowing the whistle. Snowie sits down and doesn't move. "FAIRY GODMOTHER" Beast shouts speedwalking towards them with Belle in pursuit. "One second children" She says walking. "BEN WHAT HAS GOTTEN INTO YOUR HEAD" Beast yelled at him stopping in front of Fairy Godmother. Carlos looks at Ben as he squeezes his hand. "Hey its ok" Carlos whispers. "But what if its not" Ben asks. "We have eachother and always will no matter what" Carlos says laying on Bens shoulder. "You broke one of Auradons most important rules" He says. "But why is that a rule? The people of Auradon are not free to be themselves because of a stupid rule" Lonnie says. "And Mal I expected better of you" He says. "I came from the Isle you didn't expect me to break some rules" She says defiently. "That conversation you had in your room I heard it all" Beast says. Carlos walks over to Mal and puts his hand on her shoulder. "M you ok?" He asks her. "Yea im fine" She says taking a deep breath, "Look you know what it was about so why not just ruin my life already." "Mal dear your life wont be ruined because i'll make sure he DOESN'T say anything" Belle says grabbing Mal's hands then turning her head to look at Beast with a furious look on her face. "Thank you Belle" Mal says. "We should get home my moms probably wondering where we are," Lonnie says to the VKs. The next day Mal walks into class with Evie, Jay, and Carlos and sits in her seat. "Hey you look more nervous than when you asked out Harry" Carlos whispers to Mal. "Ok 1.I was dared by E 2.Audreys staring" Mal whispers back. "Just chill out remember if you act different everyone will know somethings up" Carlos whispers "Mal Carlos eyes up here and stop talking" Fairy Godmother says. "Sorry" They say. After class the four walk back out to the field. "I think I'm gonna go back to the Isle to see dad" Mal says. "What about A-" Carlos starts but doesnt get to finish because Mal interrupts him by saying "I dont know Carlos I'll figure it out as I go." "Ok but I thought you said you would never talk to him again M" Evie says. "I have to Eves," Mal says pulling out her spell book, "I should be back in a day or so, cover for me please" "Of course" Jay says. "Come on guys we should leave" Carlos says. "Bye Mal" They all say before leaving. "Bye" Mal says before flipping through her spell book, "Ok 'On a path of blazing fire transport me to the place I desire'" Mal recites out of her spell book. Mal appears in front of Hades' Cave. She sighs and pulls out her key and unlocks the door. "DAD" She yells walking through the tunnel system, "Come on its not funny I know your here." "Fine Mal" He says stepping around a corner. "Dad" She says standing in front of him with her arms crossed. "What are you doing here" He asks. "Nothing too big just need to get my mind off of things going on in Auradon" she says. "Whats going on" Hades asks. "Nothing important its not what I came here for" Mal says, "I came here for this." Mal takes off her pin and puts it on the side table. "What about it" He says confused. "I need another one" She says. "For what" He asks. "I just need another one" Mal says. "Yea ok give me two days" Hades says walking iinto his craft room. "Thanks dad" Mal says grabbing her pin and opening her spell book, 'Here my cry loud and proud take me to the biggest crowd' see you later dad" "See you later dear" He says from the other room. As Mal is walking through the crowd she spots a familiar face. She ducks down and continues making her way through the crowd when she reaches the front she stands up to get a better view of whats going on. "Come on, you can do better than that you stinken' goblin" Uma says as she beats one of the goblin sailors in armwrestling. "Uma hey" Mal say walking up to her. "Hey Mal whats got you here" Uma says hugging her. Mal breaks the hug and says "One, I'm visiting my dad and Two, Getting my mind off things on Auradon but thats neither here nor there." "Mal long time no chat 'eh" Harry says. Mal groans but still replies "Yep could've stayed that way" "Ohh~ tough girl" Harry taunts. "Mal" Hades calls. "I have to go but i'll talk to you later." Mal says as she walks away. Mal walks into Hades' Cave and walks over to her dad's craft room but doesnt go in. "Here thanks dad Love you I'll come visit later 'kay" Mal says. Mal goes back to Auradon and finds her group of friends in an arguement with King Beast. "Ok ok whoa guys whats going on" Mal asks Carlos. "Finally your back," Beast says, "I was telling your friends that they are still in need of punishment for breaking Rule 45-A6" "Darling stop this madness" Belle urges. "Belle this isn't madness this is perfectly normal they are breaking one of my most important rules" Beast says. "Ughhh not this again," Mal says, "Carlos with me now." Mal drags Carlos by his collar away from the group. Everyone's eyes follow them. "Mal what was that for" Carlos says. "Here take this," Mal shoves it in Carlos' hands, "When you see it you should know what to do with it." Carlos looks at the object in his hands then says "A pin but who's it- Ohhh. Don't worry i know what to do." He puts the pin in his pocket. "Wait one more thing" Mal says. "What is it" Carlos asks. "I wanna tell her but i dont know how" Mal says. "Dont worry ill help you" Carlos says as he grabs Mal's hand and drag her back over to the group. "Where were we," Mal says, "Oh yes this is stupid. You can't choose who you love it just... It just happens. Trust me I know." Mal grabs her pin as she says this. "Mal is right" Lonnie says. Audrey, Ben, Ännä, and Jane come running over with something in each of their hands. "What is this for" Belle asks. "Happy Birthday Mal" Ben says. "O-oh guys thanks" Mal says. Oh yea come guys we have something to show Mal don't we" Carlos says. "Your birthday?" Belle says. "Yep, her 17th birthday" Evie says. "Thanks sis" Mal says grabbing the present from Ännä. Everyone except for Evie, Jay, and Carlos are surprised as they didnt know that Mal and Ännä were sisters. Ännä shakes her head and gives Mal a thumbs up. "Anyway come on Mal" Carlos says grabbing Mal's hand and dragging her back to the dorms. The rest of the group follow the two. "Carlos what is going on where are we going" Mal asks. "You'll see" Carlos says stopping in front of Mal's room door. Mal opens the door to find her room totally decorated in birthday supplies. "Oh my god ya'll actually did this for me" Mal say turning around to face her friends. "It was Audrey's idea" Ben says. "It was?" Mal says looking at Audrey. "Yep all Audrey" Jay confirms. "I-i wouldnt say all me" She says burying her face in her phone. Later as the group is hanging out Evie suggests they play truth or dare. "Sure we're down" Carlos and Jay say finishing their cupcakes. "I dont know" Mal says. Ben, Lonnie, Jane, Doug, Ännä, and Audrey all agree to play. "Ok fine i'll play" Mal says giving in. "Whos going first" Evie asks. "I will" Ben says, "Ok hmm Jay truth or dare" "hmmm truth" "Ok ok soooo who do you like" Ben asks. "Oh thats easy, Nobody" He says. "Really? You used to like a new girl every other week" Carlos jokes. "I'm serious, I don't like anyone"
