Chapter 1
Regulus is pacing around the Griffondor dorm. James is sitting on the bed holding his head between his hands.
"You can't have both James it's me or Lily, pick!"
James look up tearful "N-no... no! im not gonna pick..."
"It's me or her"
"Reggie-"
"Do you want her or do you want me?!" Shouts Regulus angry and teary.
"Regulus, this isn't a choice!"
"Why can't you just say me!"
"No! Im not gonna pick!"
The black haired boy closes his wet eyes.
"You know what then? We're done."
"Reg-"
"We're fucking done James..."
James is too stunned to speak. The tears start falling all over his cheeks as Regulus leaves and slams the door behind him.

Weeks later:
James is depressed. The other marauders have never see him like this before. He keeps saying he's fine but just spends all his days in the dorms, curled up in his bed, he skips meals, classes...
Sirius starts to really get worried when he says he is too tired to Quidditch practice. James will never skip a Quidditch pratice for any reason. Except there is he.
"Hey Prongs..." Sirius sits on James' bed.
"Hi..."
"Are you hungry?"
"No"
Sirius sigh "Listen James... I know you don't wanna talk about it and I know that all this have something to do with your break-up with Reggie but... Please can you tell me what's wrong exactly? We're all getting really worried, you're losing weight, you're not showing up in class... and now not even at Quidditch..."
James looks away and hugs his pillow.
"T-There something wrong with me Pads" He whispers.
"What? What do you you mean?" The other boy frowns.
"I... I loved Regulus... I still do actually. And I miss him so much but I-I... The thing is I also love Lily..." James admits and then he's rambling like he can't control the words getting out of his mouth "I can't stop loving one or the other, I can't choose either, it make me feel like a asshole, what's wrong with me seriously? Why can't I just make a choice like a normal person!? I love them both Sirius what the hell? And now I'm loosing them both and-"
Sirius shushes him gently " wowow shh... hey, its alright bud okay? We're gonna figure out I promise... There is nothing wrong with you okay? Nothing wrong with love. I guess some people just... have a lot of love to give, and you're probably one of them but there's nothing wrong with that. You're not an asshole for loving Prongs..."
James sighs and wipes his tears "What am I then?"
Sirius strokes his back gently "Have you ever heard of polyamory?"
James nods, his eyes widening slightly.
"Well have you ever think you might... be polyamourous?"
James swallows "You think I could be?"
"Well, that's for you to figure out. Some people are just fine with dating more than one people at once you know? And it's okay"
"B-But what if I am? What can I do? I can't force Reg or Lily to date me at the same time... Everyone would find this crazy or like cheating..." James stutters.
"You can tell them and try to figure out. Beside I'm sure Regulus can be supportive about it. I mean, he never judged Barty and Evan always sleeping around despite being together as well. And Lily... well she's an understanding person. And even if this goes wrong, you would have been honest and I'll be here anyway" says Sirius squeezing James' hand.
"Thanks... thank you Sirius..." Mumbles James tearful
"Anytime mate. We're here for eachother alright? No matter what. You dont have to bottle up everything"
James nods and curls up in the sheet.
"Now let me get you some food."
