Remus
I guided Sirius into the castle’s massive kitchen where I was shocked to find Regulus and company getting ready to start cooking. Sirius set Teddy down in his high chair next to Harry before he slipped off to help his brother at the stove.
“Hey Moony, it’s good to see you two are back talking again.” James tugged me over to the counter and handed me a knife. I tilted my head asking ‘what the hell do I do’. He pointed to some vegetables with a laugh and I started cutting.
“You know we are of high enough status we don’t need to be cooking, right? As for Pads and I, there was a lot of miscommunication and we talked it over.” I turned my head slightly to see the man who was laughing at something Regulus had said.
“Status can get fucked, I was raised to be king, now I’m fucking the king and queen roughly, hmm~ and a lot. So I don’t think any of us care about status a whole lot. Besides, Harry was getting fussy, so we decided to make dinner.” James shrugged.
“Oh yeah that’s why we came here actually, Teddy started to get fussy. Oh and you won’t believe this, so he spends two months begging for his Paddy right. Gets him, and says shit, then says Papa. Like the little fucker.” I laughed tossing the vegetables into a bowl James had slid closer to me.
“I wonder where he got that from.” James raised an eyebrow. I nodded slowly before I looked back to where I could easily cut the vegetables and watch Sirius. “It’s okay, Harry learned fucker from me. I kicked a table and he found his daddy very fun to mimic.”
“Oh so it wasn’t Regulus when he said bitch as he side checked a corner? I remember Harry was very excited to repeat that like a little parrot.” Regulus shot around to glare at us.
“You fucking dicks talking shit about us?” Regulus accused. I just elbowed James in the side. James shot his husband a loving look before he broke out laughing.
“Dicks!” Harry cheered and the look of anger on Reggie’s face quickly morphed into disappointment and fear. I lifted the baby up from his high chair and started to sway with my friend's son.
“We don’t say that word Prongslet. That’s a word reserved for y gath fach ffycin ddu.” I kissed my godson’s forehead before I shifted him on to my hip and started to bounce him a bit.
“Did you just call Reggie a black little fucking cat?” Sirius turned around and rested his back against the counter next to the stove. I felt my face grow warm before a towel was thrown onto my face.
“You know what I said?” I was more so happy than shocked. He nodded and I just knew I was smiling like a damn idiot. Harry decided he wanted his uncle and I quickly passed him off to James to do the swap.
“I’ve been spending the last two months learning Moony. And I’m a very quick learner. Rwy'n gwybod llawer nawr.” He let it flow perfectly off his lips and I couldn’t help but let out a small needy whine.
“That’s about the same reaction those two had when I learned French and Spanish. Merlin, you are spent.” Lily leaned over and whispered to me. I shot her a playful glare before she gave me a simple shrug.
“What speaking dirty to them in their own language fucked with them?” I watched as Sirius took Harry and quickly began to play with him, while James wrapped his arms around Reggie while the younger cooked.
“It brought me Harry that’s for sure.” She smiled before lifting the bowl from the counter and slipping away from me with this evil little smile. I groaned before moving to pick up Teddy and hugged him to my chest.
I decided to sit down at the table in the corner of the kitchen, content to watching the family bustle about. Mainly I was focused on Sirius who was busy playing with Harry. He looked so in place with everyone, so perfect. I used Teddy to wave at him and his face softened as he did the same with his nephew.
“I think I’m falling in love with him Teddy. I think I’m falling for your Paddy.” I hummed rather proud of myself for coming to that conclusion. Teddy babbled happily, like he was thrilled by this revelation of mine. “Yeah, I’m definitely falling.”
