Five Years Later
Hermione and Harry stood on the platform with Remus. They stood there, looking nervously as they tried not to let the lingering looks, or the whispers get to them. They stuck to Remus like glue, as they pushed their carts onto the platform. They were both excited and terrified to go to Hogwarts. Remus was nervous to let them go. It's the first time they've been separated since they came to live with him. Moony was restless, a growing agitation building in his gut.
"Do you have everything?" Remus asked.
"Yes." They responded.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
Remus helped load their trunks up onto the train. They stood their for a moment, watching each other, before Remus pulled them into his arms and hugging them tightly. "Have fun, cubs. Learn everything you can, but remember to have fun. Try not to cause too much trouble."
"We will, dad."
"We'll write all the time."
Harry and Hermione mumbled into his robes.
"Take care of yourself, dad." Harry said, as he and Hermione pulled away and gave him a stern look.
Remus huffed a laugh. "I'll try pups."
The whistle blew, causing Remus to clear his throat and plaster on a smile. "Time to go. Promise me you'll take care of each other."
"Promise." They said, hugging Remus one last time before heading onto the train. They waved as they disappeared onto the train in search of a compartment. As they took a seat, Hermione and Harry pulling out books to read eventually, they quietly talked about what was to happen over the year. Only to be interrupted by two identical red heads.
"Oh, look George, first years."
"They're so tiny."
"'ikle firsties, what are your names?"
"I'm Hermione, this is my brother Harry."
"You wouldn't happen to be Harry Potter would you?"
"Heard he was on the train somewhere."
"Potter is my former last name. My name is Harry Lupin." Harry stated, shifting uncomfortably in his seat.
The twins shared a quick look before nodding. "I'm Fred."
"I'm George."
"Welcome to Hogwarts!"
