I think it's so good that I didn't see the point in rewriting it.I hope you enjoy this story.Harry Potter does not belong to me.

Chapter 31

The sunlight filtered through the curtains, filling the room with a warm, gentle glow. Harry blinked slowly, adjusting to the brightness. The first thing he felt was the warmth of the body next to his, a familiar warmth, but one that, on this morning, felt different. He turned his head and saw Luna sleeping beside him, her face serene, her golden hair spread across the pillow like a halo.

She was naked under the sheets. So was he. The sight of his own bare chest and the clothes scattered across the floor brought back memories of the previous night — the urgent kisses, the touches that went far beyond hesitation. They hadn’t had sex, unsure if Luna’s condition allowed it, but everything else involving hands and mouths exploring each other’s bodies had happened, multiple times. In truth, Luna’s hormones had made her quite enthusiastic, and Harry wasn’t complaining about that.

They had kissed a million times before and even touched once, but the reality of what had happened this time showed that the barriers keeping them as just friends had completely crumbled.

The reality of the morning hit him hard.

Harry propped himself up on his arm, watching Luna sleep. She seemed so peaceful, so comfortable there, as if nothing in the world could disturb her. He, on the other hand, felt the weight of a thousand thoughts rushing through his mind.

What now?

That was the question echoing incessantly in his head. He knew that something had changed between them, something that couldn’t be ignored. They had crossed a line, a line that now seemed as undeniable as the morning light.

As he watched her, Harry felt a mix of emotions. There was happiness, of course, an almost euphoric warmth that enveloped him as he remembered the way Luna had held him the previous night, how she smiled at him between kisses, with that look of someone who knew exactly what they were doing. But there was also fear. Fear that this change could complicate what they had.

Their life together had always been special. Living with Luna was like living beside a fresh breeze — invigorating, unpredictable, but always welcome. She made his life feel lighter, simpler, even when they carried the weight of their pasts. But now he wondered if that lightness could survive what had happened between them.

He reached out, hesitantly, and brushed a strand of hair from her face. Luna sighed softly, still deep in sleep. She had always been like this: so different from anyone he knew, with her peculiar way of seeing the world, as if common logic wasn’t enough for her. And that was exactly what he loved about her. There was always something more, something beyond words, that made him feel whole when he was by her side.

But now? Had their relationship changed, or would it stay the same?

Harry took a deep breath, trying to organize his thoughts. He knew he had to be honest with himself. It wasn’t just desire he felt for Luna; it was something much deeper. He admired her, trusted her, and felt that she understood him in a way no one else could. She was the mother of his children.

Was everything he was feeling because she was pregnant with his child? He had never thought about it before, but now that he had, he couldn’t find an answer, and that was terrifying. He pushed away that painful question and returned to thinking about what had happened between them.

“Maybe she doesn’t see this as something so significant,” he thought, fear whispering in his mind. “Maybe for her, it’s just another expression of our connection. What if I end up complicating things by trying to make this into something more?”

But at the same time, there was another possibility. What if Luna felt the same way? What if, to her, the previous night had been as transformative as it was for him? The thought filled him with both hope and anxiety.

Luna stirred, interrupting his thoughts. She opened her eyes slowly, blinking against the sunlight. When her eyes met his, she lit up with that unguarded, sincere smile that always made Harry’s heart race.

“Good morning,” she said, her voice husky from sleep.

“Good morning,” he replied, trying to sound natural, even though he felt the weight of the moment.

Luna stretched lazily, pulling the sheets up to cover herself more. She seemed completely at ease, without any trace of regret or hesitation. Harry, on the other hand, felt a bit unsure.

“You’re overthinking, Harry,” Luna said suddenly, catching him off guard.

“I… how do you know that?” he asked, his heart racing.

“You have a specific expression when you’re worried. It’s like you’re trying to solve a complicated puzzle but don’t want anyone to notice.” She propped herself up on her elbow, leaning slightly toward him. “You don’t need to feel that way. Whatever you’re thinking about, we can figure it out together.”

He looked at her for a moment, feeling a wave of gratitude mixed with an inexplicable warmth. It was so typical of Luna: always direct, but in a way that made everything seem less intimidating. She wasn’t worried. And maybe he didn’t need to be, either.

“I was just… thinking about what this means for us,” he finally admitted, letting the words out before he could stop them.

Luna tilted her head, as if considering the question for a moment. Then, she shrugged lightly, a playful smile tugging at her lips.

“It means we’re where we’re supposed to be,” she said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. “And we can figure out the rest together.”

Harry felt the weight on his chest lift. He knew things wouldn’t be simple — they never were. But at that moment, looking at Luna and seeing the quiet confidence in her eyes, he decided that maybe he didn’t need all the answers right now. They would have time to figure it out together.

And that was enough.

Harry held Luna’s hand firmly as they sat in the brightly lit waiting room of St. Mungo’s. The air smelled of herbs and potions, and the muffled sound of conversations from other consultation rooms echoed softly against the walls. He glanced at her, noticing the calm glow in her eyes as she watched the enchanted tapestries in the waiting area.

Luna seemed calm, as she always did, but Harry knew the little signs: the way she lightly squeezed his fingers or took deeper breaths now and then. She was nervous. After months of rest, this moment represented more than just a medical check-up — it was a renewed hope for normalcy.

“Harry, you’re too tense,” she remarked, breaking the silence. Her tone was light, but there was a hint of concern.

“I just want to make sure everything’s okay,” he replied, trying to relax his shoulders.

“I know,” Luna said, squeezing his hand.

Before he could respond, a door opened, and a gray-haired Healer in immaculate green robes smiled at them.

“Mr. Potter, Miss Lovegood, please come in.”

Harry helped Luna to her feet, and together they walked into the consultation room. It was a cozy space, with shelves full of glowing vials and magical plants hanging from the ceiling. The Healer gestured for Luna to sit in a comfortable chair near the desk.

“Well, let’s see how things are progressing,” the Healer said with a firm yet gentle voice. “Since our last appointment, have you been following all the rest recommendations?”

“Yes,” Luna replied. “Harry’s been very diligent about making sure I didn’t do more than I should. Sometimes a little too much.” She shot Harry a playful look, and he blushed slightly.

“That’s good to hear,” the Healer smiled. “Let’s start with a quick examination, and then we’ll discuss your restrictions.”

He waved his wand, and a soft golden light enveloped Luna’s belly. Harry watched anxiously, his eyes fixed on the glow as the Healer murmured diagnostic spells. After a few minutes, the light faded, and the Healer jotted something down on his parchment.

“Good news,” he said at last. “The placental abruption has completely stabilized. We still need to monitor it, but the risk is much lower now than it was a few months ago.”

Harry let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding, feeling a wave of relief. He looked at Luna, who smiled with that serene glow, as if she already knew the result before hearing it.

“So… what does that mean for her?” Harry asked. “Does she still need to rest?”

“Not anymore,” the Healer replied, closing the parchment. “From now on, you can resume a more active routine, but with moderation. Avoid strenuous activities and sudden movements. Light walks are welcome, and daily activities can be resumed. Just pay attention to how you feel, Luna. Any discomfort or pain must be reported immediately.”

Luna nodded, absorbing the information with her usual calm. But then she asked the question that made Harry almost choke on his own breath.

“And what about having sex?” Luna asked, with the same natural tone she might use to inquire about the weather. “Is it safe now?”

Harry felt his face heat up immediately, and he turned his eyes to the shelf of plants in the corner of the room, trying to look preoccupied. The Healer, however, seemed used to direct questions like that and answered with the same calm.

“As long as you feel comfortable and there are no symptoms like pain or bleeding, yes, it’s safe. I would just advise being gentle and careful. Nothing that causes excessive strain or discomfort. If you notice anything unusual afterward, contact me immediately.”

“Understood,” Luna replied, with a serene smile. “Thank you for clarifying.”

Harry risked a glance at her, but Luna seemed completely unbothered, as if that were the most natural question in the world. He, on the other hand, still felt the warmth creeping up his neck.

The Healer continued to give instructions about diet, hydration, and the warning signs they needed to watch out for, and Luna listened attentively, occasionally asking questions. When the consultation ended, the Healer escorted them to the door, wishing them good luck and asking them to return in a month for another check-up.

As they left the consultation room and returned to the hallway, Harry finally let out a short laugh, trying to break the tension.

“You really don’t have a filter, do you?” he asked, looking at Luna with a nervous smile.

“Why should I? It was an important question, don’t you think?” she replied, looking at him with that innocent, curious expression that always disarmed him.

Harry shook his head, still smiling. He held her hand as they walked toward the hospital exit. The relief of knowing Luna was okay filled every part of him, but at the same time, her casual mention of “having sex” made his heart race in an entirely different way.
