Idea about House Elves

What if a junior magician moved into a haunted house, blaming all of the strange things on accidental magic? The spirit thinks it's kinda funny; just goes, oh well. It's better than the last one. (The last one put salt in the windowsills, called an exorcist; and when that didn't work, tried to set the house on fire. Yeah, that didn't work out either. Nutjob. What is so bad about a dead person wanting their house to themself? The talking teacups, floating candles, a set of stairs that goes 'nowhere', the fairy door and random spattering of possessed objects gives it character.) And I've decided this is my new headcanon for house-elves. They don't die, what do you mean? House-elves are descendants from elves, who locked away their power, in fear that wizards would use and corrupt it. "If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals." Over the years, they were 'domesticated' by wizards. But... the wildfire that is magic can never be tamed. And elves, they are connected to the earth, mother magic; more than anyone else. Even wizards. Also, they're distantly related to hobbits. The form of the house-elf was made specifically for others to underestimate. When they 'pass on', they are able to access the realms(including where Harry went after he died) and unlock their true form. Any bad 'master's' get thousands of years of bad karma. Happy ending for Dobby, Tobbs, Deek, Penny, Hokey, and countless others. Even Kreacher.
