Prologue
A whirlwind of flaming red hair threw herself through the front door yelling at the top of her lungs“Mione!
She tore through the flat, looking behind all of the furniture, as if her friend could be behind one of them.
“Mione, where the fuck are you?”
Finally, she got to the bathroom door, which was locked.
“Mione, are you in there?”
No reply came through the door, yet she could hear laboured breathing.
“I’m coming in”, she said softly before casting an alohomora.
Halfway through opening the door, she rushed forward. Hermione was half-conscious, lying down on the pale blue linoleum, next to the bathtub. The brunette’s brown slacks and beige sweater were stained an awful crimson.
“Ginny?” the muggleborn asked weakly.
“Yes Mione, it’s me, I’m here”, the redhead reassured her.
Ginny didn’t know how long she sat in that bathroom for. All she knew in that moment, is that she never wanted that to happen again. After using all of the healing spells she knew, she finally settled on using a bandage. It didn’t exactly help, but at least it didn’t make it worse. Eventually, she took Hermione in her arms and carried her to the apartment’s sole bedroom. When the brunette was finally peaceful enough not to be a concern, Ginny conjured some paper, sat at the mahogany desk and began to write.
Mrs Malfoy,
I don’t care if you don’t care about Hermione or want to do this, but she would like to meet with you at your earliest convenience. Don’t try to ghost me or I will have the ministry storm your house.
