Wonderland

It was so strange.
She was gripping onto Harry and Ron as tightly as she could. The next, they were gone. Instead of landing somewhere safe, she landed inside someplace unfamiliar.

“Who are you?” A voice asked from off to the side.

She struggled to shift her body enough to look up at it. A wand was pointed at her. She realized through her hazy vision. She blinked a few times, trying to clear her eyesight, but it only seemed to make it worse.

”Are you alright?” Another voice asked.

Hermione tried to push her body up, only for dark spots to fill her vision, her body trembling violently, before collapsing. The darkness enveloping her with warm arms.

Sirius and Remus has plans for today. They were going to go visit baby Potter, Prongs, and Lily. That was it. None of that, includes a witch falling out of the ceiling and onto their apartment floor. Nor did they expect the injuries on her once she had passed out.
“Call Lily.” Sirius stated, rolling the witch to her back to get a closer look at her. Remus sniffed at her gingerly, growling at the lingering scent of dark magic.
“Check her arm.” Remus hissed, moving towards the fireplace and calling out for the Potters.

Sirius pulled her left arm up; brows furrowing at the soaked through cloth. He gasped in horror as he managed to push the clothing high enough to reveal the source behind all the blood. There spelled out in scratchy lettering, was the worst word to exist to him. Mudblood. He cursed, muttering healing spells to try and stop the blood, only for the blood flow to increase. Her body shook and twitched in such a familiar way, that Sirius knew exactly what this woman had been through. At the sight of the familiar red head appearing in his peripherals, he looked up.

”Lily-“

”Hand me the potions as I call them out. We have to stabilize her first.” She recited.

”Lily, her arm gets worse when magic is used on it.” Sirius quickly explained.

He watched determination cross his friends features. “Alright, dittny and essence of mertlap, then the bandages. We have to slow the bleeding with pressure until I can close it the best I can with stitches. However, her body is deteriorating as we speak, so we need to hurry.”

Sirius, Lily, and Remus worked together to stabilize the witch. Once they were sure she wasn’t going to deteriorate, the switched their focus to her arm. The bandages were already soaked through. Undoing the bandages carefully, Sirius watched Lily stitch up certain areas of the word. He counted each stitch.

One.

Two.

Three.

Six.

Nine.

Ten.

Eleven.

Fourteen.

Sirius sighed when Lily began to apply to ointment to the wound, and slowly wrap her arm back up in bandages. When Lily finally sat back on her heels, exhaustion seeping through her, she looked up at the two.

”How did she get here?” She asked.

”We don’t know. She just fell from the ceiling.” Sirius sighed.

“It’s been longer than an hour, so she’s not polyjuiced.” She sighed.

It was then that Sirius caught sight of a little bag tucked into her pocket. He tugged it out, opening it and peaked inside, only to be meat with a black void. Furrowing his brows, he reached his hand inside. Only for his eyes to widen in shock. “Undetectable extension charm.” He said, pulling out thing as his came into contact with it. It was mainly clothes and books. A mix between male and female clothes, books on potions, dark magic, soul magic, a beat up copy of Hogwarts a History, defensive magic, protection magic, healing spells, an old magical children’s story book. It wasn’t until he pulled out two quidditch jerseys did something strike. Both were Gryffindor Red and Gold. Only one said Potter, while the other said R. Weasley. He set them aside, and began reaching around once more, until he pulled out two more things. One was a picture book, the other was a journal.

Curious he opened the picture book, to reveal a familiar image of James, Lily, and Harry smiling and waving at the camera. Only Harry looked older than a few days. He flipped through the pages, seeing different images of him and his friends through Hogwarts, James and Lily’s wedding, one from a few days ago. The day Harry was born. He reached an image of people he didn’t recognize. One of the little boys looked just like James, only upon closer inspection did he see the green tint to his eyes. The other was a red head boy, and a little girl with big brown, curly hair. He tugged the photo out of its place and flipped it over.

Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley. End of Hogwarts first year, 1992.

Sirius stared opened mouth at the words, before quickly flipping through the book some more. More images of the trio appeared, some where more goofy, others were moments at parties, and some were just flat out sweet. Then he came around an image that included an adult for the first time. He looked closer at the man with black hair, his head thrown back in a laugh. The man, the boy that looked like James (Harry), and a group of red heads, and a man with sandy blonde hair, were sat by a fireplace in Santa hats laughing away. He tugged that picture out too.

Harry’s first Christmas with Godfather. 1995.

Merry Christmas Harry.

He looked up in shock, only to see Lily and Remus’s equally shocked faces. The journal he had pulled out earlier opened between them.

“She’s from the future.” They all whispered together, looking up to meet each others eyes.

”Her name is Hermione Granger.” Lily spoke up, looking back down at the journal for a moment. “She knew Harry.”

Sirius replaced the photos he had taken out, and handed the photo album over to her. “You should look at this.” He whispered.

Sirius took the opportunity to slowly scoop Hermione into his arms and lay her out on the couch. He went to his closet and pulled out a blanket and draped it over her. He flicked his wand and summoned a glass to him, filling it with another flick, and setting it on the coffee table behind him.

“What are you doing here, Kitten?” He whispered softly.

Not long after, James and Harry came through the Floo. They showed everything to him, and went through her journal for more information. The more information they uncovered, the more horrified they became. The completed prophecy was written out on the back of the journal, along with a list.
