જ⁀➴ ❦ i. welcome to midnight oil! i hope you liked the little introductory premise here. this is very much a self-indulgent passion project of mine. purely for my own amusement and enjoyment. that said, it is very on the side of being morally grey and delves deeply into a different look at what the pureblood society could be, more than just blood supremacist bigots. as well as the threat of dumbledore's machinations and manipulations. no side is good and no side is bad, they've equally got a mix of both.જ⁀➴ ❦ ii. this is inspired by: Black As Is The Raven, by Tellywrs2015 on AO3 — GO READ IT, ITS AN AMAZING STORY AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH IT HAS BECOME A LIFELINE FOR ME, and has totally changed the way in which I've viewed the wizarding world. Additionally, some honorable mentions of which i recommend as a must read, because they're some of the greatest and you won't regret it, are: @ shadowscribe's look at my life series; and @ venus_ink's spite & normalcy series; both of which are also on AO3 and are both magnificent in the sense of world building and delving deeper into the lore of magic and culture and politics of the wizarding world! i also got inspiration from the video at the top of the chapter. i know it doesn't have anything to do with harry potter, but alicia agneson is so mesmerizing, and ngl the man who plays ivar from vikings has really enchanting eyes.જ⁀➴ ❦ iii. while I admit that the beginning of this story will have many similarities to Black As Is The Raven, I swear I am in no way plagiarizing or attempting to steal Tellywrs2015's amazing original work!! I am veering on a very different approach to this story, it is just the origins of my character will have many large similarities in the beginning. After all, this is an inspired work.
